I was wondering if I can run sense rom such as ARHD 41 on GPe converted 4.4 firmware HTC One. So phone was at&t htc one, was converted to GPe using 4.4 conversion zip. And I want to flash sense based zip without flashing sense firware package or converting it back. Will that work?

Hi,
I am about the get an HTC One, but unfortunately my carrier does not offer the Google Play Edition – the one with the Sense Android. I wanted to know if there is a way to install the stock edition of Android from the GPE devices to the stock Sense device. I know that there are many many cooked ROMs, bit I prefer the pure Vanilla Android Experience without the bugs and glitches of the Cooked ROMs (no offence to their developers).
Thank you.
It is possible.
You need to S-OFF and Unlock your bootloader and probably change CID (guide's in the forums).
Is there some dump of the GPE ROM or something?
I want to flash cyanogenmod 11 android 4.4 on my htc one m7 (gsm). I am not sure what gapps I should flash and can anybody recommend any non sense based roms.
Thanks

You always have to flash gapps that match your version, simple as that. You can download them from goo.im or from cyanogenmod wiki http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Google_Apps or from the cyanogenmod thread for the htc one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2579229
Regarding the rom recommendation, you'll have to test which one you prefer yourself. You could go either with a GPE rom or any AOSP rom
Before my message i prefer to tell at all people who look my thread i'm french so my english is not the best english of the world.

The kernel is only compatible with Sense based ROMS and Google Play Editions. So no, it's not compatible with CM. (At least, I would not try flashing the kernel on a CM based ROM)
Read the kernel thread for more info: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2249774

like said above, you can't use elementalx for CM. CM is AOSP based rom and elementalX is for Sense and GPE based rom. Use teamseven kernel or try a aosp kernel.
french:
Comme mentionné plus haut, ElemantalX est pour les roms qui tournent avec Sense ou GPE, CM11 est une rom basé sur AOSP. TeamSeven kernel devrait fonctionner sans problème ou d'autres kernel compatible AOSP.
btw, do a backup of your stock kernel from your custom recovery (boot partition) before flashing a custom one, so if something goes wrong, you'll be able to restore the stock kernel (boot).

Thank's for the kernel, it's compatible with cm and offer what i want (logo2menu and other things).
Just another question, in the thread on xda about kernel, in the installation section, he have nothing about s-off for install a custom kernel.
But on the french forum (like Frandroid) he said we need are s-off because is more easy to install.
So on my htc one m7, do you need to s-off my phone to install a custom kernel ?
Thank's

You don't need S-Off to flash:
* ROM (includes kernel)
* kernel
* recovery
* and even radio.
You need S-Off if you want to:
* flash unsigned firmware
* downgrade firmware
* downgrade using RUU
* changing CID and/or MID
*** and also [some] GPE ROMs need S-Off

Hello, I hope this is the right section... my girlfriend has an old HTC one m7 which used to be mine and I gave it to her converted to google play edition with Lollipop 5.1, the phone is not rooted.
I did this years ago so I don't remember the specific HTC one procedures (I was coming from a samsung back then) but I converted an unlocked tmobile htc one lte to google play edition.
I'm now looking to update this phone to Nougat, especifically crdroid nougat which is aosp/lineage os-based.
I would also like to know how to return to sense if possible.
What would the steps necessary for this be? Do I have to convert the google play edition back to a normal htc one in order to install aosp roms or sense roms?
Thanks in advance.
Can anyone help?

if your phone is running the latest gpe firmware, simply flash twrp and your aosp rom. You don't want to flash the sense firmware back since the nougat roms work better with the gpe firmware.
