This threat is for all antutu and geekbench 3 tests... I wuold compare the stock version with the cyanogen and custom kernel and script tweaks but i dont have onbe plus 3 yet

i think you have modify name model on build.prop
i think because you want a lower graphics for games... So on my s2 i9100 i write sm 935f and asphalt 8 have a amazing graphics

Kangvip doesn't let you overclock, only lets you toggle cores and change governors. No one has overclocked the P9 yet but I know someone who has overclocked the p9 lite
I think it would be tad hard and not safe to overclock kirin 955 because this chip IS overclocked Kirin 950(A72 cores are at 2.5 instead of 2.3 GHz).
There is just no point of overclocking, I found out that this chip is pretty decent(dont look at synthetic benchmarks) and can work amazing even in 2018. Only problem with it is slower memory and Mali-T880 MP4, If it would be MP8(like exynos on samsung) or hell, its MP12 version it would easily fight against even this year phones. But even with MP4 I dont have problems with any games, even VR.
I'll try to keep it as brief as possible.
I am well versed with rom flashing and also with the xiaomi ecosystem. I own a Redmi Note 3 pro myself and I know the bootloader unlock process and other stuff.
But I have no idea about the rom scene on Mi 5. I have been only active on the Redmi Note 3 forum because that's the device I own.
The Mi 5 for which I'm courting suggestions belongs to my sister. She's tired of slow miui and it's messed up notification delivery. So she asked me to fix it.
I'm planning to flash a custom rom. I unlocked the bootloader but I have no idea about which rom to flash. I will be here only 2 more days then I'm off to college in another city, so I can't really test different roms. I just need a stable rom that I can flash and forget and that she can use without any hiccups.
Oreo roms are not that stable on most devices right now and she really doesn't care for the latest Android version. Please suggest a stable nougat rom.

Edit: firmware 7.9.22 because 8.1.4 has problems with playing media over headset with this rom.

Over clocking. I have the 32 GB model which CPU is down clocked by default to 1.8 ghz. The stock kernel in the original Aospextended is over clocked to 2.15 ghz. The SoC is capable of running this frequency btw, I just prefer the default frequency yo keep the phone from getting hot and extending battery life.
i'd say go with the cosmic os builds.excellent battery life and unlike aospextended i haven't faced any crashes.Probably set her up with the google camera hdr+ too.

I play pubg in high fps my j7 prime have a stock rom, oxygen kernel (i use spectrum perfomance) and build.prop tweaks.

I use a tweaks of build.prop of millenium rom, samsung game launcher of android pie ( search in xda "samsung pie laked apps oreo), and oxygen kernel for tw last version in spectrum perfil performance.
(The performance is good in high fps but i recomend configure low fps 30 in pubg config for temperature of you device.)

Can you upload your build.prop?
So it's been a while since I ran AnTuTu on my Note 4 and the score is still pretty impressive.
Phone info;
Note 4 SM-N910V.
Android Pie.
Resurrection Remix rom.

I can't say specifically about that model phone but it is a Snapdragon like mine and I am pretty sure there aren't any Exynos roms out there. Have a look around the forum for your phone's section. Rooting this model is a bit tricky but once you go thru all of the steps flashing roms is easy and there are 3 or 4 Pie roms for the Note 4.
Got the phone 2 days ago, scores was same on the previous fw, now on the latest 10.2.30 still same.
Also the phone feels slower or equal to supposedly slower s10 exynos, so it might be frequency ramp up issue?

Yeah... You will want to flash a custom rom. The global version is literally hepatitis C. Xiaomi.eu, pixel experience, project syberia, and havoc are great! But, I would stick with eu rom to get the most out of your device.

This is a better score than the average MI9 score for Geekbench 5 (check their website), maybe you are comparing with Geekbench 4 scores ?
OP posted this thread twice and it has already in the firat thread been esrablished that the newer Geekbench has a new dividend. MI9 has good resultat.

Don't put too much faith into benchmarks. I'm on 10.2.30 and the phone runs great. Synthetic tests are irrelevant to real world performance.

That's right, the new Geekbench 5 has whole different scoring, so don't worry about it.
