Viewerslogic app - Galaxy S6 Themes and Apps

Hi there. Does anyone use the Viewerslogic app as your able to get £5.00 a month for having the app on your phone, sounds good but I'm a bit dubious about the data it collects from your phone. ?.

[Q] Is Lookout app worth using or is it bloatware?

Question using Lookout, is it worth using or is it just something that bogs the DS7 down? Will it try to mess up any of the root apps?

I use it with no negative affects. Non-rooted. Slight slow-down during installation of new apps.

I removed it and I am pretty sure I get better battery life now, it sure seems like it.

Ok so count is 1 and 1. I mean I started using it now myself to see. Would be good to know from others tho if you all can chime in. =)
I havent had any problems with it since Feb 2, but I also have stopped a few processes - this being one of them... that have rendered the tablet useless for a min or two.

It is extremely useful.
Not only for a remote wipe or device location but also general security as well.
You can decide to not use a security app but when you get a malicious app or stolen device you will be kicking yourself

There are various reports over the last few months that the XDA app (free version) crashes on devices that do not contain an IMEI (i.e. tablets). The 'premium' version of the app does not have this issue. I would suggest someone try the premium app to confirm/deny this issue exists for this device.
and again.. .. and do you have to have the paid version to upload images?

I started with the premium app, then tried the xda HD, still same problem. Only thing left to try is the Tapatalk for another 3.00 $.I would spend another 5.00 bucks if I knew it would be OK, but I have no guaranty that its going to work !

Paid version of Tapatalk is working just fine for me here and on other forums I visit. Granted, I'm using the 7" tablet, but it should be the same I would hope.
I need to Unroot my tab and see if apps work properly without root. At that time I'll figure out if I need to try tapatalk or not.

i'm using Tapatalk right now and it's fine. Why don't u change from XDA to Tapatalk, it can be used in several sites, rather than XDA alone

main thing with tapatalk is money. Anything free whether glitchy and force closing or not is going to be used over something that costs even 99 cents. Take a poll.

Tapatalk has big footprint and it's disinged with slot of extra resources to work with a lot of other forums that I don't use. Not my cup of tea , I rather have a specific app for what I need.
Thank anyway.

**************** issue resolved *****************
Problem solved by unchecking kill app after leaving in development settings ,"developer options" "do not keep activities". I had this checked thinking it would save me battery.
It was this setting that was causing me problems with my xda apps closing.
##### developer options, do not keep activities, box should not be checked. #####

Slow GPS positioning.

I don't know if it's just my handset that has this issue. If it's an issue at all.
My GPS takes forever to find my actual location. Leaving central London yesterday on the M4 the GPS around 25 minutes to find where I was. It isn't really acceptable to be quite honest.
Is there an issue or is it a handset fault solely affecting me?

Done. It took nearly an hour to find a signal. But it found one... I don't understand. If the hardware is working why isn't the signal being detected in a normal time frame.

Have you tried reflashing a stock rom. And see if the problem persists. If it doesn't, you probably have some tweak or module doing stuff to the gps.
If the problems still there it could be your carrier or a faulty device.
Flashed back already. Several times. I haven't got any tweaks or changes going on, the only reason I rooted was to rid myself of the bloat.
This is really annoying me, if I have got another crop handset off Sony I will definitely be going back to HTC phones.

Are you removing fast dormancy? For some carriers it's needed.
I think so. I have basically now gone down the route of stopping the phone cutting any process off for any reason. Still the issue persists though.

this is just a wild guess, but worth a shot.
try redownloading the stock rom, check md5 and be sure to make a clean install.
try download "FasterGPS" from playstore, to get the time from a ntp server near you, to avoid wrong time for the fix due to delay on a long travel from the ntp package

With great respect only you can answer that. The online operating manual is now available for the Sony site. I would suggest you go read it and see if it will perform what you expect of a smart watch or not. Ones mans trash is another mans gold etc..........
Regards.
Thanks...you are correct about what "I" expect from the device. As long as it sends all my texts and emails I'll be good. I work in a dirty factory and hate pulling out my phone

You can reply to anything using s-voice no on-board keyboard. Loving this thing so far and the phone is a big improvement over the note2 (and I loved that phone too).
Absolutely room for improvement and not many apps.. yet. Patience people.

The SMS and Email notifications work great on Gear.
Gmail and Facebook notifications need to work like the above two to be useful and they aren't yet.
Gear seriously needs a calculator app, including a tip calculation function. It's mind boggling that they didn't include one already.
It would also be nice to have a compass function but not sure whether it can support that or not.
can you share a picture taken from great and upload straight to Facebook

its growing on me but it needs playstore access its so good but its bad. the speaker phone is unbelievable the viewing of text is great and this is the best s voice i ever used and i hate s voice, but the bad is the apps the apps is horrible. it needs three things 1. the ability to answer a text with a built in keyboard. 2. Play store access. 3. micro sd slot. If I could get 1 and 2 Ill be happy other than that Im probably going to return it based on google announcement on oct 31

XDA app and Amazon app get stuck?

Has anyone else noticed that the XDA app sometimes loads a thread immediately and then other times it gets "stuck" where it can take a very long time to load? When it gets stuck, I can click back and then click the same thread again, which sometimes will load it quickly. I notice the exact same behavior in the Amazon app when clicking a product. It happens on both WiFi and LTE and has happened with every version of android so far on the N6.
I use XDA and Amazon all the time so this is a particularly frustrating issue for me.
UPDATE: here is a video demonstrating the problem with the Amazon app:
Amazon App getting stuck on Nexus 6: https://youtu.be/bjDayQJVV3g
Which XDA app? Theres like a million of them. One of the tapatalk versions?
I'm using the XDA premium app.
I'm not convinced that it's an issue specific to the app though because I didn't notice this on my Nexus 4 and the exact same issue happens in the Amazon app.

XDA premium is based on Tapatalk and Tapatalk has problems on this forum. Its specific to this forum too, because taptalk works fine on other forums I use. I think the API on XDA for Tapatalk is outdated and since XDA are working on their own new XDA app (XDA One), they're probably not going to be too bothered to fix it.
Not sure about Amazon
Tapatalk has gone into the toilet over the years at this point I would honestly pay to go back to an old version. The iOS version is such a monstrosity and just so horrible its at the point of being unusable. if the thread I want actually comes up and displays I feel like I've won something.
Sent from my Google N6 on VZ
Thanks for the replies. Seems like this might be something a new XDA app could fix.
Here is a quick video I made showing the Amazon issue:
Amazon App getting stuck on Nexus 6: https://youtu.be/bjDayQJVV3g
The first 2 products open fast and then the third gets stuck. I click back and re try 5 times and on the last try, it opens fast like the first 2 did. Anyone else have this issue with Amazon?
Yes you are correct ..Those are the worse two apps to get "stuck".. Only other app is WWE SUPERCARD..Every other app is fine..I do believe it is app issues not phone related.
