P9 audio quality vs P8 or P9 lite? - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

Hi!
Does anyone know what's the issue is with P9 and (subjective) audio quality? It's equipped with the same HiSilicon Hi6402 audio codec as the P8 and P9 lite.....at least according to iFixit teardown of the P9 (https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Huawei+P9+Teardown/62348)
...but all info pages from Huawei states that only the P8 and P9 lite "features a HiSilicon Hi6402 audio DSP, 9 V Smart PA"
When comparing the P8 with the P9 (DTS disabled) there's a noticeable difference IMHO where the P8 seems to have more control over the music, difficult to explain though...

I run Spotify enable equalizer in it or disable it and use this app -> Equalizer Pro (Free)
and now playing full blast in Speaker mode sounds better with the EQpro.

Any call recorder apps to recommend?
I've tried Automatic Call Recorder and Call Recorder - ACR, as well as Boldbeast but they are only able to record my side of the conversation.
Previously in my Z3, I could record both sides of the convo.
Am wondering if any of you have call recording apps that you are using?

Huawei P9, P9 Plus, P9 Lite, Mate 8, Mate 7, Mate S, P8, P8 Max, P8 Lite, P7, P6, G8, G7, Honor 8, 7, 6, 5, 4 etc work great, recorded calls were crystal clear in two sides, even with the latest ROM.

Hi, I was wondering if anybody is using their p20pro with audio/midi daw Android apps such as audio evolution or similar.
and what their Audio latency is and whether the p20pro would be suitable for on the go audio editing

Audio quality in video recordings

I tend to record quite a few videos of live music, and need a phone that isn't going to completely destroy the audio quality. My Note 8 and now Galaxy S10 do fairly well, but I'm really wanting the camera features and bigger battery in the Huawei P30 Pro.
Anyone know how Huawei has generally been with audio quality while recording video, or (better yet) have a P30 Pro and have tested this?
My Mate 9 Pro and the P30 Pro seems to have fine audio recording when using default camera apps. Third party apps all recorde audio at extremely low (unusable) volume, but it might be that the apps need to be updated. I hope it's not some stupid limit set by Huawei. That would make no sense whatsoever.
