SlimROM is a custom android operating system. The main goal is to offer users a slimmed down but still feature rich alternative to other android operating systems.
The entire SlimTeam works together to bring you this tailor-made beauty straight from Android Open Source Project (AOSP) source code.
All of the sources can be publicly viewed through GitHub and Gerrit.

Known issues:
*Motorola cameras will not work correctly when using non-stock DPI; Victara stock DPI = 480
*Gestures must be toggled off then back on (in settings) before they work correctly
*Root
Apply root via developer settings.
SuperSU doesn't work with the current cm kernel:
Until CM's kernel compression is supported by SuperSU, or until we switch to using a different kernel, the built-in root is our easiest (maybe only?) option.

I can incorporate fixes that others have accomplished, but I won't be blazing any trails.

Awesome work, I was going to do it but got too lazy to sync the repo haha
It works on XT1092?
Currently, i'm using remix for that matter.
Nice ROM. Very Fast.
The echo issue fix can easily be incorporated into the build, but have you experienced any downsides as a result of this change?

modify the following settings in build.prop to read:

Thank you, I had the speaker echo problem and your solution fixed it.
So no problem anymore for me, 3rd phone on remix and it is great !
Is there an option for notification led blinking? I have only the option "always on" now on v5.6.8.
Thanks.

Hi,
I didn't noticed any problem yet. I did a call with the stock line (from remix rom) "--persist.audio.fluence.speaker=true", echo problem was there. Then I modified it to "false", reboot the phone and did a 5mn call and the loudspeaker was fine.
the other line was already set to "fluence".
i always loved slim on all my devices, gonna test it now. i hope this ROM doesn't get abandoned like SlimLP for this device was. great work

I don't think so.. Slim is back!!! Weeklies for officially supported devices already started! So the OP could become a device mantainer for victara

A week now with this wonderful ROM... battery gives almost 6h on screen... Biohazard Audio working... just 2 random reboots... but still no found a cause... everything is working...
Slimroms has recently switched from Wednesday to Friday releases, and hosts the general changelog at: https://slimroms.org/#/
There still isn't much customization at this stage, so I'll continue uploading alpha builds, but I probably won't xda-announce them until they reach beta status.
OMS (the replacement for layers) is in gerrit, but I have no idea when that'll be ready for debut.
Cheers

I switched to Mokee before noticing it, but does [DU] rom also have the RTC reset bug that I'm seeing in almost every CM based rom recently? Time just resets to build date(and time) whenever device is switched off.

Can you describe this issue further? If I turn the device off, and then restart it, the date and time are incorrect?
I can't seem to reproduce the behavior on Slim. The date and time are always correct, even after I have the device turned off.
These victara builds use CM's device-code, but the ROM is NOT CM-based.

Yeah that'a the issue..... whenever I restart my device, its time goes back to build date and time.... I haven't used Slim yet but I found it on CM and all recent releases of CM based roms.... Guess CM code is resetting RTC at each boot but its just a speculation... Good to hear Slim isn't effected by this bug...
Has anyone been able to gain root access on this ROM? When i tried it, my clock and battery got all funky (Battery registers 4,007% and clock changes time at random) and wifi stops working altogether.

Root is built-in, enable it from developer settings.
When I use a root app, I get the expected prompt, and the device behaves as expected.

Yeah, this is currently a known slim issue. There's a frameworks issue, and Slim is waiting to see how OMS/substratum works, to decide whether to implement it or not... Glad you're enjoying the rom, there's a little bit more customization every week.
-Cyril
Great ROM. I'm not getting any LED notification, anyone else have this issue?

Some apps for example, SoundCloud and MusiXmatch have some serious lag in usability of the app and volume control. However Google Play and Poweramp seem to be fine.
Please can you update to latest PA source? And add option for edit navbar (size only). Ahh! This option is missing in the rom, you can add?
The ROM is smooth and faster, no have important bugs, good work man!
My apologies for the lack of an update. Work has gotten unexpectedly busy, will sync sources this morning (I work late nights) and try to get a build out later today (5 or 6 pm EST)

Well thanks for the help I Judy got it my stock room was 4.4.3 and I needed to update. I also did that link before you posted and it did work. But it could have been both. Kitkat is so sick with a phone that can handle it. I'm coming from obsolete droids and my last one had kitkat but that's all it could run because of resources.

It's mentioned here, just not sure if it's implemented at the latest one.
As we just did a little update a few days ago, the change log is not that long for this version bump, but here goes:
Introduce Dynamic System Bars
Introduce the swipe-up gesture to dismiss Hover
Get rid of possible slowness during I/O on the stock kernel for hammerhead
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55194330&postcount=53
I know, but I wasn't able to find where I can activate this. And currently I have different ROM on my phone.

Hey there! I'm just a builder who want to share with all of you the compiled sources of Paranoid (Credits to the team for all the work and gerrit patches I've used).
It's an alpha, so it doesn't have many features:
- It has an advanced power menu with options to reboot (recovery, bootloader, reboot), screenshots, etc.
- Head-up notifications have been improve (using Hover sources I guess)
- Ambient Display has been added for our device too (replacing peek at this moment)
- Quick unlock is enabled.
- Quicksettings' tiles reorder
- Inmersion mode with tile support
- OnTheSpot is now implemented, but there isn't any example of it.
- ParanoidOTA comes with the rom, but isn't functional right now.
- Another smalls changes and improvements.
- CM12 Theme Engine
- Linked volumes and expandable volume panel
- Added a standalone File Manager
If you want to check all the new stuff of every build please visit gerrit. It works fine with TWRP and also multirom.
All the builds like build 4 or newer, will be compile from sources, without adding any feature, so they will be clean builds. I will try to get new ones every month until the team release their own ones, so enjoy them, and if you like my work, click Thanks #StayParanoid

Thanks bud!
Wooohooooo!!! It's finally coming!! :cyclops: Thanks for the build
many many MANY bugs with this...rotation does not work...even messes with rotation apps. Reboot menu only has reboot...no recovery or bootloader option. LTE 100% does not work...switch it on and loose data altogether. Rom will not flash in TWRP 2840...something about symlinks.
That's all I found before I got fed up and restored my factory backup. Seriously, thank you for taking the time to build and share this...I'm appreciative of that, believe me. This is just as far from usable for a daily rom as I've seen in a long time is all.

It's a shame that it has all this problems, but you have to remind that this is an alpha version , and for example you can find in gerrit patches for LTE that are in state of review, so if you want I can cherrypick them in next build.
About the powermenu options, you have to enable developer-settings, and there you will find an option to enable advanced reboot menu.
Finally with the build I will compile this saturday I will see what de can do to avoid the errors with the recovery, and also I will check the rotation.

Thank you. I totally understand it's a first build in early stages. I wasn't trying to beat you up...the problems could be in the source. I just wanted to let everyone know this shouldn't be expected to be a daily just yet, so they don't go in with high hopes and have them killed when all these things start going wrong. There are some builds that are definitely suitable as daily drivers as first-draft alpha builds, so it wouldn't be that surprising to find this one to be one of them, but unfortunately it's just not.

That's good to hear...would you please tell us what version of twrp you used? I tried 2840 and got the symlink error. I reverted back to 2820 since that's the newest I had stored on my pc and it flashed.....but with all these bugs I listed. Maybe it's not flashing properly still???
I had native rotation on and it didn't wok, so I downloaded Ultimate Rotation Control ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.fameit.rotate&hl=en ) which works fine for me on 5.0.1 factory image....it was missing several rotation options with this rom, and the only option that worked was manual, which consists of a notification widget and clicking the angle of rotation you want, in order to change it....and it locks to that position. Like I said, maybe it messed up flashing...it definitely had some real issues. I'll try again and report back

ROFL, thought I was the only one who actually used that joke hahaha.
So Kayant you made this official legacy device, congratulations!
I have always wanted AOSPA on the 4g, even thought of building it myself, I'm glad you did it.
omg i was thinking everyone is building of cm why is there no aosp builds? and here it comes thank u so much for your hard work.. must ... flash... immediately !
Well PA was my favourite ROM of all times, thanks for bringing this ROM to peregrine. I flashed this this morning, I'd really love to see some of the features that PA offered in 4.4.4., as for now it doesn't really have any customization option.
Thanks Kayant, been using your kernel and is great.
Fellas I'm having a problem with the initial setup.
As soon as the setup screen (the blue one with the language selector) starts, the phone goes back to booting again from the boot animation.
It shows the language screen for about 2-3 seconds then goes back to boot animation. First time I've seen this type of error.
I clean flashed everything...

Is a PA rom, CM based or AOSP based? I've read some comments applauding this rom for the variety it adds, but I have only come across CM12.1 roms so far and if this has bugs from CM12.1 then isn't it too CM12.1 based?
Secondly, SOOOOOOO EXCITED to flash this been waiting for PA for my phone forever but never had a device (too many samsungs in my life) which had any rom. YES FOR MOTO!
Lastly, I know this is listed as BETA but then on the PA website it says it is STABLE. what's the different dev stages for this rom?
Thanks so much for the effort Kayant!

It's AOSP based. Why you will find the same/near the same bugs on every rom for a device is because to build the rom for a device you need something called a device tree - https://github.com/AOSPA-L/android_device_motorola_peregrine
That same device tree is used for all Peregrine roms and contains all the necessary configs, files and such to make a rom boot up and run on a device as such every rom built with the same device tree we have the same device bugs expect ones included by the rom.
Although our device is different in that it also needs - https://github.com/AOSPA-L/android_device_motorola_msm8226-common which is a shared device tree for all Moto G devices as they all share the same hardware for the most part.
Hey guys, how is battery working for you?
Mine is being unreal, just got 3 hours SoT and still have 50% with wave gesture turned ON, but I have the funny feeling that it will suddenly drop to 0, I just hope the hotfix solves it. Just wanted to ask, it seems that the recent fix to radio wakeclocks and removal of p-thread has really done a miracle with my battery and hope yours too.
Kind regards.
Duuh, wrong thread.
I'm having an annoying bug. Everything is great about this ROM but I can't open toggles on Quick Settings. If I keep pressing the WiFi toggle, normally WiFi settings (not the quick setting menu but the settings app itself) should open, but instead nothing happens. This is the same for all toggles (location, screen rotation..) Could you perhaps fix this?

There is no fix because that's how it works in AOSP until that function is added to it which it hasn't been added yet in PA.
Thanks for your answer. Please let me know when this is added because this is by far the smoothest ROM I've tried. CM12-based roms seem to slow down after an amount of running, this one stays smooth. Good job!
probable bug?
The rom runs well on my xt1039, but finding only small problem: I have a bar (disturbance effect) that goes from the bottom to the top of the display. It looks to boot, and not go away.
You help me?

Put your device to sleep for a minute or so and it should go away.
hand wave ambient display
The hand wave feature used in build 14 of @beeeto cm12.1 sabermod is amazing and I was wondering if you had any plans of implementing it into your ROM?
This rom is very good, but as beeto build 14.1, is possible to migrate his kernel to this rom?
This seems to be running really nicely. I've always had a soft spot for PA ROMs and this is working smoothly and I've had no major issues so far.

Thank you for your help.
Just turn off the display and everything is ok. :good: :good: :good:
Another question: You are running the GPS module (My detects no satellites)? with stock rom works with AOSPA custom rom not.

AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, the Rom has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
With the rebrand of CM to LineageOS (LAOS) we are now actually LAOS based with some tweaks from AOSP.

Yea at this point it like the 1 ton stone ball is stuck in a crater xD. The remaining bugs aren't proving easy to fix. VoLTE probably won't be hard to fix once I get my phone back on next week. But until then it will remain broken unless someone else fixes it.
Thank you for this rom and all your work on our K20+ @Travisholt92 ! You rock bro!! I have been following a while and will continue.

You're going to have to be more specific. Which build, which apps are slow, WiFi or LTE. You gotta let us know these things

Thank you for the prompt response Travis , the build I am currently on is the AICP_lv5 0119 zip. The Google Chrome app is running slow and, shows an LTE signal in the status bar and it's very low until it switches to H+ or H. Also the web is loading very slow or not at all while on a call and this is on Google Chrome.

I noticed that too. I was wondering if it was a baseband issue. I was just curious to know if the stock baseband could be used with this rom as a fix.

My latest build of AICP is so damn smooth but the battery life isn't too good. I can still get a day's usage out of a charge but barely.

The baseband version in these builds is called from the modem partition so it is the one from whichever version of stock you came from.

Spoiler
Hello, you all may remember me from my ROMs for pixel 5, pixel 4, 8t, 7t, 6t, Shamu, and J7..
I left 8t development a few months ago to have some fun with a pixel 5, and a month ago, dusted the ol' kebab off and jumped back in. I keep most of my ROMs on the silent side of things and don't use xda but for official releases. Hopefully, This unofficial build will become official. I think you all will love it as much as I do. It comes with my own branch of neutrino kernel, as does all my ROMs, it's entirely based on neutrino, but I add klapse, hbm, vibration tuning, etc, and some other kernel options that I don't care to add device tree side. This is a beta build so it has a couple weird small bugs, and no they do not affect anything.
Bugs-
1. At first boot, soon as you see the setup wizard, it will show you a toast, phone is rebooting, it reboots then setup continues not to happen again. This affects nothing. Not sure why, but don't really care either, as it all works ferociously fine after.
2. Occasionally, up at the left most corner, where the status bar clock is, a slice of the hour part of the clock is sliced off, it doesn't exist all the time, just sometimes. It is perfect in quick settings view and typically corrects itself only to randomly get sliced. I probably have a duplicate overlay for the dimensions related to that spacing. Will fix next chance I get.
That's it for any issues.
Features-
All the current bootleggers features for "Rimbon". Perfect fingerprint, face unlock, endless theming options, larger quick setting icons for easier tapping, proton aosp blur, proton aosp optimizations, Verizon support, dual sim support, enable/disable fingerprint vibration, Dolby, raise to wake, app lock, the list goes on. More features will be coming once I add them, prob fod animations and edge notification pulse.
Things I don't care to add-
fod screen off, safety net spoofing, sm8250-DeviceSettings(we really don't need them at all)I added and they're redundant, and call recording, oh yeah gaming is for PCs and consoles I don't add it to phones. If you want these things. Bootleggers is not for you.
All my builds are fastboot update zips and include gapps. I'm a Google guy and need all their stuff and yes I don't care they can have mine too. Haha.
Flashing- no matter what you are on currently, for best performance flash oos stable first, then format data via recovery, reboot bootloader and the command is fastboot update bootleg_kebab_v7.zip *note, you must open terminal in the folder where the zip is to give this command, other wise fastboot update HereIsLocationToTheZip.zip. after it does it's thing and flashes it boots and then at first boot shows the setup wiz and reboots as declared in "bugs" section.. Root if you would like to use kernel features, this requires the same old process we have used for 3 android versions, I hope you know how, lol. If you have troubles, re read this entire post.
Thanks- to my testers, my friends, the entire kangarooster squad, and the couple android geniuses who shared their wisdom teaching me the ropes the last 4 years of source building.
