I am trying to side load xposed modules, but after i download the apks, I go to install them but pressing the "install" button does nothing. yes, security is set to allow unknown apps. I have also tried non xposed modules apks, same thing. :'( thoughts?

Have you installed the Xposed FRAMEWORK itself? And activated it and rebooted?
Not sure why non xposed module APKs won't install....works fine for me. I can download an APK to the phone itself (internal memory) and install it no problem
Has anyone found a solution? I've found that something to do with xposed is not allowing me to sideload any apks.
want to uninstall xposed so I can log into snapchat, but the uninstall button in the xposed app is greyed out with no message regarding it. i'm on cm12.1
i'm blind, delete this thread
Just rooted yesterday and getting "VisualFilter files are missing" appears on the screen, and when I login with my username and password it says "Oh No! Your login temporarily failed, so please try again later."
I have never had this issue before - I'm thinking some .apk I downloaded might be causing this. Any way to fix it? Do I need rootcloak for Snapchat to work?

Its Snapchat being a tard. They block root users from logging in. If you have Xposed, uninstall the framework then log in on sc. Then install Xposed in its framework again. Don't log out. As for visual filters, I've been having the same issue lately. Gotta download them on snapprefs.

How do I uninstall the framework? Install/update and Uninstall are both greyed out. I only have soft reboot and reboot.

Got it - I have it on the phone already - went through recovery and uninstalled. Wiped devik cache, rebooting phone, logging into SC and then rebooting into recovery again to re-install Xposed. Do I have to wipe devik cache again?

Yes, do a wipe
Thanks guys! Got it working! The only issue is I am still having that filters files missing issue - still cannot figure out how to get those filters to work in Snapprefs. I downloaded them but cannot see where to use filters.
I had it working once. Enable custom filters in snapprefs settings. Then click download visual filters. You might have to extract them or they just save directly to the snapprefs folder.
Hey guys, I am logged in to Snapchat and it opens up, but after a few seconds the app closes by itself.. Already looked into the xda thread of snapprefs, but I did reinstall xposed etc already and use the correct Snapchat version.. Maybe I'm too stupid to find the correct page
Any solutions to fix the force close? Haven't got any filters installed as I read this could cause a crash too.. (
Edit: xposed framework 79, snapprefs 1.6.5, 9.21.1.0 on cataclysm 6.0.1 January 5th stable release
Ups just saw I'm in moto x here haha but I've got a Nexus 5 sry
But maybe someone knows the solution anyway

Verify that the Xposed Installer has network access.
Try clearing data for the Xposed Installer.
If that fails, try uninstalling, then reinstalling the Xposed Installer (you will have to re-enable your modules).

I have no clue what "cheating data for xposed" means.
I'll uninstall then install again.

Sorry, I meant "clearing data". Damn autocorrect.
If you went the uninstall route, you just need to uninstall & reinstall the Xposed Installer app. No need to remove the Xposed framework.
The reinstall worked. Tyvm.
