So over the past week at work, my battery would get low and I'd turn on battery saving mode until I could get home and charge it. Of course, one of the things power saving mode does as you're all aware is to disable haptic feedback/vibration. Today, I noticed that vibration now no longer works at all, without any power saving mode being on. I've checked all the settings and have done 2 factory resets, with no luck.
Any ideas?

Has anyone noticed on either the Tilt or Kaiser that sometimes the device will not enter sleep mode?
It seems like when my Tilt running the stock AT&T Rom is on AC power, it will not enter sleep mode even though I have it set to sleep after 5 minutes on AC power. This is not while connected via USB to a PC running ActiveSync as that WILL keep the device alive, I'm talking about connected to the power brick.
After 5 minutes the screen will dim but not sleep. Running on battery power the timeout will usually happen. If it doesn't sleep the display just dims like it did above.
Settings for power are set to shut off after 5 minutes.
Any ideas?

I've noticed that mine does the same thing, just doesn't turn off when plugged into AC. I'm not aware of any "fix" for it persay, I just dismissed it as a minor bug of the OS. I would be curious if if anyone does have a solution to this, but it's not that big a deal IMO.
I noticed it also, but don't care. However, if it happens while on battery, try changing the time to something else and then back. My battery was draining QUICK and finally I realized that it wasn't turning off. Doing the above fixed it.
Thanks for the replies. Not that I feel better about it but at least others have the same issue. It's not a big deal if plugged, just wondering why.

I just got into the habit of manually hitting the power button and putting it to sleep before holstering it and right after pluging it in.
Same here, it would go to sleep on DC power but would stay awake on AC power.
Dont worry.
I'm sure it goes into sleep when you press the power button.
Ahhh, is that what that button is for?!
I set my phone into airplane mode once it was fully charged during night time. Once I woke in the morning (about 7 hours), I saw the battery remained 92%, do you guys think is normal?
The reason I'm asking it is because I had flashed my phone to CM5 recently and if I remember correctly (however, I can't be sure), the battery life was remain around 97% (same as above what I had done) in the original ROM.

Once I swithched from Iphone 3g to my Nexus one, I have set the iphone to airplane mode. I still use my Iphone as a VOIP phone when connected to wifi. Well, ever since I put my iphone into airplane mode, the battery lasts 10x longer than before.

You might have apps and services running in the background and eating battery!!
Boot into safe mode then airplane mode and let us know what its like then.
1. Power the device off.
2. Power the device on.
3. When the logo appears, press and hold the Trackball button.
4. Continue holding the Menu button until you see the home screen.
The words Safe Mode should appear in the lower left corner if you performed the steps correctly.

Thks, will try that
I just couldn't go into safe mode because it just kept reboot my phone :-(
Anyway, I'll just try to disable some backgrounds app, then go into airplane mode and monitor further.
I have updated to 4.3 originally when it come out for T-Mobile USA. I didn't uncheck power saving mode to be off before the phone updated. Now, power saver acts awry. I also have terrible battery life on 4.3 yet my battery is rated in good health by HTC's battery test. My screen acts unresponsive at times at night when on charge as if it has terrible sensitivity, but I calibrate it to no avail. Do I need another phone or do I need to reset the phone? Do I need to send it to HTC for repairs?
Best bet is to run the latest RUU if there is one. Or factory reset. Both will delete all your data.
I did run a factory reset and now the power saver mode works fine, but the problem is that when my phone is charging, the screen suffers from lag/ responsivness issues.
That sounds like something I've heard before. Perhaps on the One X. Do you get the problem when charging on USB as well? Have you tried a different mains charger?
I own a Moto G 2nd generation running stock lollipop, no modifications, and a couple days ago the battery drained completely kind of quickly (it even turned off when it had 5% left). when i charged it again, it turned on but it charged only up to 1%. i left there for hours and it didn't charge more than it, when i took off the charger it turned on almost imediately so it wasn't a display bug, it really had 1% left. i tried changing chargers and cables but no luck. also when it turned on it displayed the CQATest app which is a Motorola diagnostics app that isn't supposed to show to the end user and it didn't get mobile signal (I didn't have wifi and i didn't check if it was still working). i left it a couple hours turned off to see if the battery drained completely but it didn't fix. after it I left charging the whole night and by the morning it was on the same situation.
When i switched airplane mode on and off, it got mobile signal, but still it had 1% battery and the CQATest app. after it, I took a shower and when i came back the screen was turned on, but completely black. when i turned off and on it remained the same. when i took off the carger it turned off suddenly, and when I put it on again the cellphone turned on imediately even if i didn't press any button. I turned on and off several times throughout the day and only once it turned on, but when it did it kept displaying messages like "the process com.android.whatever has stopped" several times per second, sometimes variating the process. when i turned off and on it went back to the black screen.
So i was willing to factory reset it, and i could access the fastboot menu, but since it only had 0 or 1% battery i couldn't activate recovery mode to do the wipe and reset. On the motorola support for the first generation it says that you can press the power button for 2 minutes to reset, but when i tried it, it kept turning on, then off then on again several times and it didn't reset. i had the debugging mode activated but my computer doesn't even recognize the device so i guess i couldn't try adb. what else can i do?
TL;DR my phone is stuck on a bootloop with 1% battery and can't use adb or recovery mode. how can i reset it?

Hi,
My Mi5 won't start now. It was having about 60% when I switched on NFC for the first time. I may have switched the NFC on and off a couple of time. Then I inserted the phone into its case , and by mistake the wrong way which might have pressed the power button / volume button , while I was inserting the phone into the case I noticed the phone was turning off. Quickly I realized the phone went the wrong way into the case and I removed and reinserted it and then pressed the power button, but nothing happened. Tried pressing volume up / down / power button but no use. But the phone was warm.
Now, the only sign of life in the phone is when charging it using the regular original charger. The light is initially purple and then turns to green but then it switches off. Tried connecting it to laptop but does not show anything. Also, the safe mode boot method does not work. So, the phone does charge but pressing power button does not turn it on but just makes it warm (some kind of startup loop)
I've been using the phone for last more than 2 years and it has original setup and updates are automatic and regular.
Just don't want to trash the phone if it can be revived.
Looking for advise.
Thanks
