I dont remember where i read, but i think the CODE maybe expired. Try to get a new code.
Also, be sure you got dev mode enabled and... another spam from guides:
"2- Connect your phone via data cable to PC.
3- Switch it off and then by pressing volume down and power together make it in fastboot mode (in this mode you will see "Phone locked" in red color at bottom of screen)
4- Click icon on desktop for "Minimal ADB and Fastboot"
5- (A command terminal will open indicating directory where adb is installed)
6- Type in command without quotes "fastboot devices"
7- If you can see serial number of your phone you are going right."

Maybe get a new code, and:
1-Use the command "adb-reboot fastboot"
2, Wait 'till it boots
3, use "fastboot oem relock code"

this thread has continued to be unaswered for several years now.
only tested 2 phones... and it seems they both have bootloader status is unknown. i can do fastboot and recovery mode on the 2 phones but on fastboot mode.. only shows blank screen... idk why it's like that. i downgraded both phones to 12.2.0 version. and bootloader status is still unknown. it can be recognized by the computer in fastboot mode using fastboot devices command but you can't do anything to it. fastboot oem device-info does not work only shows .......... , fastboot oem unlock ....., only one working is fastboot adb_enable .. kinda useless. .. i gave up on unlocking the bootloader for this phone.. im too noob for this.

I opened this thread when I was still "noob-ish". The device's bootloader can't be unlocked. Unless someone hacks into it's bootloader (like LG L Fino), it might be possible.

I found a way to unlock bootloader on this device. Just run this commands:
Code:
fastboot oem adb_enable 1
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot oem unlock
Also compiled a TWRP recovery:

I got root access with KingRoot and then flashed TWRP with Flashify.
Somehow that gave me access to bootloader without the necessity to downgrade the firmware.
Hay soo i wanted to relock bootloader after failing to install custom recovery (both) i turned off oem unlocking in developer options and did fastboot oem lock. Now the phone is looping in "your device can't be checked for corruption. Please lock the bootloader" and it reboots and says the same again.
When i try to unlock the bootloader with fastboot oem unlock i get "FAILED (remote: Flashing Unlock is not allowed)
I really dont know what to do and i need a phone for comunication. Please help!
You should only lock the bootloader after installing the stock ROM, otherwise your device will be bricked and the only way you'll get it back working is by flashing the EDL test points near the phone's battery and reflashing the stock ROM back in EDL mode.
Try downloading this tool then try to unlock oem, flashing and flashing critical.

I have seen another guy who did this. How is this possible that you turn off the unlock bootloader option when you've already unlocked it? The option gets greyed out and becomes non-functional.
Anyways I guess the best option is to give your phone to Xiaomi for the fix.

I don't think you will since you don't need to disassemble the device, all you need to do is remove the aluminum back cover carefully with damaging it and you'll find the test points right besides the battery

Why not use oem unlock?
Hi. I am trying to lock my bootloader and delete the warning of unlocked bootloader. When I try to do "fastboot flashing lock" it gives me "permission denied". I think because of "Oem Unlock". My device is Asus ZE620KL(Snapdragon)and I couldn't find anything about this. When I search only thing I could find is "how to enable on Galaxy devices". I am willing to remove only unlocked bootloader warning but "in /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/" there is no logo file. I hoped I could at least open splash and look inside of it but I couldn't even open with any tool or extract. For any help thank you.

For real lock bootloader so you need flash STOCK ROM.
For unmessage in bootloader Try:
Code:
fastboot oem lock
This need good adb-fastboot tool & drivers. Depend of OS of your PC too.

My mi a2 last updated to 19/04/05 pie version, then i install the Google camera using below steps..
1. Turn on debugging mode/oem & turn off the phone
2. Then power button+vol dwn Fastboot mode & connect to pc (Pc already have the adb)
3. In pc>adb>folder>Cmd> type "fastboot oem unlock"
4. Then factory reset the phone and reboot again to fastboot mode
5. Then boot the patched image for phone
6. Then install the magisk and gcam work perfectly.
Simply i used these methods
the***********.com/enable-camera2-api-xiaomi-mi-a2-lite-guide/
But then I tried to relock the bootloader, using below commands on cmd
1. "adb reboot-bootloader"
2."fastboot oem lock"
I tried these 2 commands 4 or 5 times
But phone is not power on with locked bootloader. Then I unlock again oem and try again,, But not working,
Then i unlock bootloader again and try these commands to lock it again,
1. "adb reboot-bootloader"
2."fastboot flashing lock"
3. "fastboot oem lock"
Unfortunately it is not work, also i can't give command "fastboot oem unlock", also i can't turn on my phone, Please help me... I want to restore my phone to working mode... Please help me, Quick, urgent :crying::crying::crying::crying:

Bro, you have to flash non patched boot.img before relocking bootloader.
After you did all of above for enabling gcam, you have to flash stock/ non patched boot img.
Btw, if you relock bootloader gcam wont work any more.
And you have to be patiente for solution.
