So I'm living in Canada and have a Note 5 SM-N9200 in hand.
It's all good, but it does not support either VoLTE or LTE Advanced here.
After a little digging, I suspect that it's the firmware of the modem that caused the issue.
For LTE Advance, you need you hardware to support all the bands it's using, but it also need the CA(Carrier Aggregation) Combination to be in the firmware for it to work.
Unfortunately the CA combinations in Canada is not supported by the N9200.
I assume similar problem(s) is there for the VoLTE.
The N9200 does have functional LTE+&VoLTE in HongKong&Mainland China, where it is sold.
So I'm just asking if anyone is able to give a little help on this matter?
Here's some pictures to show more info:
1. Since the phone does not support the CA combination, it says Not Config(ed).

2. Shows the LTE bands supported
3. Shows the current supported CA combinations.
4. Shows the Software version(Latest)
5. Shows that the phone does have LTE Advance Enabled.
May I ask how to open Service Mode?

Could you elaborate a bit more? Is it because of the hardware or the software/firmware? How about Band 4?
See the pci3

Hello everyone,
I just got an unlocked black HTC one from ATT and I'm using it on TMO. I got the LTE apns from tmo but noticed that wasn't getting LTE at all. I called them and their customer rep told me that I would not be able to get LTE on a non T-Mobile cellphone... Wtf? Is there a fix for that at all? Their hspa+ is more than enough but it would be nice to have LTE too. I would appreciate any help on the matter. Would it help if I rooted and got CM for it?
Thanks for your time.
If the phone doesn't support the frequency bands for LTE you don't get LTE. It's that simple.

I looked it up and they are running the same LTE frequencies. Band 4 1700.

I may be wrong but, I think AT&T use 1900/2100 & T-Mobile use 1700/2100 and both are on band 4.

Okay so it's possible to get LTE on tmo with an att HTC one.
All you need to do is get the LTE apns and at the dialer do *#*#info#*#* scroll down to preferred network type and switch to CDMA + LTE.

I have the same and am not sure what region mine is either. I was going to try and flash the USA firmware, but I am almost thinking this might already be the USA firmware. I don't think anyone has an actual unit from the US Sony Store yet, so it is kind of hard to tell. I got mine from technotrading on Ebay.

So I noticed strangely that band 41 was disabled on nearly all the roms available for the M8. I had to go download get my msl and enable and prioritize band 41 to get spark. Has anyone else noticed that band 25/26 are all you are getting?
Mines are fine

##DATA# on the dialer but you have to know your msl to edit it. Only works on sense though
And the thing on the status bar is with this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blueline.signalcheck but you have to buy the premium

If you can't access there is an app in the app store that might work. Haven't had to use it for awhile. I don't remember the name but try googling Galaxy shortcuts or something. If you find the right app I don't know if it will work as I have the sim unlocked version.
