Same too. Slider is working but volume level is still same.
I wonder if anyone updating to P has good volume...
Yeah sound level is incredibly low even on calls, ring tones and every sound... Really awful.
Yeah that happened to me, I just restarted the device and the problem disappeared. Gl m8
Is restarting the device solving this volume problem for others too?

Didn't for me. Only thing that solved the problem was going back to MOB30M
There are two bugs with volume in MOB30P:
1. Low volume
2. Inability to adjust in-call volume
It has been reported by some that a reboot will fix #1. Personally, I have only experienced #2; this was on a clean install of MOB30P.
These bugs are likely related, possibly to the same commit (see here).

Actually now that you mention it I'm having both problems. A simple reboot won't fix any of them. The only workaround for #1 was to install ViPER4Android (I l wasn't using it for a long time) and boost the volume but it's really tricky to get a good overall sound because some sounds get muffled, but it's due to MOB30P update.
Additionally to #1 or at least on latest chroma the alarm volume can only be modified on settings, the quick volume adjust won't work.
In call volume is still low though.
does it also happend if i just flash the bootloader and radio from MOB30P ?
Can you downgrade Ota on non root stock Android?

Is that just the kernel (boot.img) from MOB30M or did you fix and rebuild the kernel from MOB30L?
Thanks!
(and if you know, what was the problem?)
EDIT: Answered in another thread. Yes, it's the kernel from MOB30L.
Yup, that fixed the low volume on my Nexus 5 as well.
I've flashed the boot.IMG too and the issue is gone. But what if I flash a cuatom kernel now, as elementalx 6.18??does the volume bug come back again?
Inviato dal mio Nexus 5 utilizzando Tapatalk
"P" has a lot more kernel level security fixes than past updates did. As a result I personally prefer to live with the audio issue rather risk getting infected with new malware that exploits any of these bugs.
Coincidentally the new kernel includes a fix for "Elevation of privilege vulnerability in Qualcomm sound driver (Device specific) CVE-2016-2068". It's not unlikely that the code changes for that fix have something to do with the audio problem.
h t t p s ://source.android.com/security/bulletin/2016-07-01.html
I thought my N5 was finally giving up on me (I started REALLY considering buying a new phone before the next Nexus came out) but I'm glad I came across this thread! Call volume stuck regardless of what level setting it's on and it's way too quiet. I can barely hear the person I'm talking to.
Update: simply flashed boot.img from previous build and all is back to normal.
Since ElementalX 6.18 is base on the P kernel, it has the same bug of low volume. Simply use 6.17 instead.

Thank you. This mean that you don't need to flash boot.IMG. you could have flashed even just elementalx 6.17 or any other custom kernel not based on P?

You can flash from my CM 10.1 or official CM 10.1 or official CM 10.2 without wiping data.
Main features:
More hardware adjustment than stock or official CM (e.g. torch brightness, backlight brightness, etc.)

Sorry, should've mentioned it here as well as in my old thread.
Give it another 25 minutes to upload.
Also I just realised I forgot to reapply my patches to the Settings app, so there will be some things you can't set.
Will be fixed in the next release.
i'm out of thanks for the day, so i gotta do it like this thank you!

20130814.1 uploaded.
This gives the button backlight, HALO settings and Bluetooth GPS settings again.
Also updated the kernel with change from @Adam77Root to allow both volume keys to wake the phone.
I don't have plans for ParanoidAndroid since I use CyanogenMod, but adapting the patches should be fairly straightforward and I'm happy to help if someone wants to do it.

Great, that you fixed the volume rocker issue as well right now.
For me, it's good that you won't implement PA settings. I like that you keep your ROM simple. So thanks a lot and keep up your good work! :good:

Just flashed!
"Google Keyboard has stopped" error appearing right from the start
Network problem (takes 1 min to get reception then loses reception again)
Hardware Keys - Back and Menu keys are not working. Home button however is working.
I installed the GAPPS for 10.2 minimal version, could this be a problem for the keyboard issue?

LG Memo from CM 10.1 doesn't work due to changed unsupported API.
Fixed with the one attached to the first post of this thread.
Also forgot to mention it, but with my last reply, I updated the version of the rom to 20130814.1, which fixes the Settings app, as well as adding volume up key wake support (untested).
Next release will support hard kexec needed for MultiROM.

was trying Eternity ROM 10.2 before flashing this.
Wiped data and cache. Flashed it twice. Oops noticed a couple of other feedbacks and its working for them
This rom works fine for me. but I got only one problem. Some "search stopped working" error is showing all the time.
I cant use it on daily bases, I really dislike TV Rotation problem on all CM based roms (CM Problem of-course) and after changing MANY roms factory based and CM based I noticed that all CM based are same (kind of )except AVATAR rom which is heavily themed (good thing-do) and camera performance is very low on all CM.
So the idea of usiing this sort of roms on a dally bases FOR ME is absurd.
Also I dont want to be rude and dissapoint any of the developers, and I always show my gratitude to them all.
I am willing to find some GREAT 4.3 CM Rom in the future. thanks to the developers!
OK, I used Tegra Overclock on Arararagi's previous ROM. With this new ROM I notice two things:
- CPU lowest used frequency is 340 MHz, it doesn't throttle lower even though I have chosen 104 (or something) as lowest in Tegra Overclock.
- GPU maximum used frequency is 416 MHz.
Can you verify this Arararagi?

Works beautifully on MahdiROM 2.9 KK. Glad they included V4A. I'll definitely be sharing some profiles for this.
For now, here's a zip I keep backed up with impulse responses for V4A. Enjoy!

Kinda but not really works with miui 7 rom for oneplus. App opens but delays a lot and ends ups closing. Viper installs driver, asks to reboot to finish instalation, on reboot asks to install again.
Can't say I'm surprised, I've never managed to install any sound mod on miui7. Also sound doesn't play at all - opened youtube, played a video, app crashed before playing anything.
Was better than the last time I tried a different sound mod, last time totally borked the rom, wouldn't even boot properly and when it did, too many forced closes to be able to do anything.
Shame because although the rom is pretty great, default sound is very underwhelming and has no default option to improve...
Oh well, reverted to previous nandroid, all well again, no better audio though.

Hi @pankspoo, thanks for sharing the mod with us. I have 2 questions in regarding to the mod.
1) U mentioned abt the Viperfix.zip, is that needed as i was able to Instal V4A drivers with no issues. So do i need to bother about that zip?
2) R u still using RR MM Rom with Lightning Kernel V1? as i heard that Lightning kernel only works with CAF based roms, but RR is a non CAF ROM right? So is that kernel really helps than the RR Provided kernel?

How did your phone speaker sound like after you installed this mod? Mine is really bassy and super-loud, probably more than it should be. At mid-level the speakers distort like hell. Definitely doesn't sound right! :/

Status & Progress
06.07.16 Enable HiFi DAC output. Fix volume clamp. Implement HiFi control settings + QS Tile (Settings->Sound&Notification->Hi-Fi options).
02.07.16 Games crash issue fixed. Numerous BT issues fixed. Switched to stock AudioFlinger so Viper4Android should work now. Consider this as a experimental build. Report bugs.
14.06.16 BT file transfer crash fix. Repo sync. PS: To make recent tasks gesture work - enable "three swipe for screenshot gesture" too. Its tmp bug.
20.05.16 Switched to AICP CM12.1 variant. Temasek has too much customized components from original CM which is hard to support and track all the changes. You need to do a full data wipe before using this build.
Reworked fp sensor gestures. Single tap and double tap is hardcoded behavior for now. Single for Back key, double for Menu key. Long press is also supported.
Early implementation of UCI templates for kernel features control. Flash UKM.zip and install Synapse app to control kernel features (voltage, hotplug control)
Updated camera and other proprietary blobs from latest chinese flyme os.
Custom RILJ with WB AMR codec support.
Trying to fire up hi-fi support (how to test?)
05.05.16 Implemented FlymeOS bottom right swipe up for recent tasks (see Display settings for enable/disable).
Device Power profile taken from stock. Basic CM Performance profiles implemented (need further tuning).
A lot of kernel commits (CPUs hotplug tuning, io governors, voltage control, etc).
Fingerprint sensor thresholds tuning for better gestures control.
Flashable stock FlymeOS Gallery & Camera apps (see main dl url).
30.04.16 BT issues fixed, as for now no crashes/panics. Will see further.. AudioFX EQ should work (not Reverb though). Gestures control panel issues fixed, added individual haptic feedback control for gestures only. Misc fixes.
27.04.16 Bluetooth Audio Profiles seems fixed (need further testing though), Doze enabled, misc bugfixes..
24.04.16 Have implemented screen & finerprint sensor gestures control panel (settings->gestures).
19.04.16 Alpha1 build uploaded:
* Ported opensource FPC1020 fingerprint driver (using openplus2, huawei p8 kernel and official fpr fingerprint mfg sources) with navigation gestures.
- Use tap for BACK key, swipe right for RECENT APPS, swipe left for MENU key. Default behavior can be changed in /system/usr/keylayout/fpc1020.kl file.
* Implemented basic Power and Lights HALs.
* Some minor fixes within device tree (brightness levels, telecom features etc..)
14.04.16 Preview build uploaded
Needs to be done
Fingerprint sensor security
FInd bugs and fight them
etc..

I have got cm13 booted on our device too but all that SEG_FAULTs in camera & audio blobs is a pure voodoo to fix without up to date hardware_exynos sources...
Bugs I found: no sound with Bluetooth. Sound through aux constantly keeps switching between headphones and speakers.
Changes¬The video recording in the camera has been fixed (so far ha1, without camera2api - hal3, as it should be at 7, because the proprietary of 6, the third party also works)!
¬Fixed voice recording in recorders and instant messengers
¬New Nosgoth 3.18.31 kernel is used (by Anomalchik, I'm on the hook)
Bugs¬Hearing on calls with active pop-up notifications (disinfected in settings - screen - pop-up notifications)
¬Stock camera green on video recording in the dark
¬Small Battery Drain caused by System?!
The ROM won't be updated frequently so keep that in mind.

P.S. Made a thread cause none did, if Razziell does not approve it I'll take it down, We could also post it in Jacoghi's thread but none would update the thread, so I made one just in case.
All Credits go to @Razziell

Yeah exactly that's strange cause RR uses the same sources.

that what I was thinking... if they use the same sources, why doesn't work?

My guess would be changes in the System itself meaning that Razziell edits the RR first then applies the changes in LOS,CrDroid so maybe the code would be a lil different causing that bug to persist.
I have switced to this ROM and seems overall ok. But why there's no FP option??
I can't find Fingerprint settings anywhere. Can anybody help?
I've found a problem. Whenever I exit an app, music volume of connected bluetooth headset goes to high automatically. Haven't tested with 3.5mm earphone. Anybody found this problem too?

I don't have a Bluetooth headset to reproduce it so... wait for others to confirm it.

yes, clean install. btw problem is solved now. I have found FP settings after 3-4 random reboot of the phone. Don't know why it didn't come before. ROM is good, but missing extra customization options like RR or CrDroid.

Heck I know what you're saying I could use Lineage but without a navbar it feels very weird.
There is an update version of this rom on 4PDA. Someone who wants the LOS can try that rom.
although i am using miui, but thank you so much!
Yes, that's @Razziell version from 28.08

Doesn't look like much has changed from previous version?
Well I have been using it all morning. 100% smooth and no problems so far I'm happy to report, except the USB disconnect bug that this phone seems to have on every ROM except MIUI. Even advanced reboot working. Great job, @Razziell and I hope this last problem will get fixed sometime too!

Hello,
I just open this thread to discuss about the rom and share issues.
The rom is very close to Android stock.
Issues that I have encountered (Build: 2017-10-08):
-Led notification is blinking very very fast (and change settings does nothing)
-Bluetooth audio (for music and video) does not work (I haven't tried calls)
Camera works, fingerprint is fast as in MIUI, run smoothly
You must format data before flashing (or it will bootloop)

- Bluetooth audio bug is same as that in Mokee Xiaomi Mi 6 rom, dev has replied in their forums the next nightly should have it fixed.
- Notification light bug will not be fixed until source is out (dev replied on when i listed the bug on Mokee forums)
Another thing ive noticed:
- The rom included a non-official xposed port for nougat which I cant remove, only disable
- Rom does not pass safetynet. Tried magisk+hide to no avail

Ugh, no bluetooth audio is a killer for me. I do like the idea of a near stock Android though...
Safetynet is the killer for me. Need bank apps to work.

True, but if they pre-installed xposed and made it un-removable, then safety net will always fail...
I am loving this ROM! The battery life doesn't seem as good as eu rom. Also notice volume for YouTube seems low at Max setting. Other than that this is amazing stick room with Xposed and Gravity box!

BTW... Bluetooth for calls works flawlessly

Shoot. No VOLTE on T-Mobile.. Every time I make a call I notice it drops to 3g or H+. Anyone know a fix?
Also, when making a 3 way conference call the phone app force closes and can't open.

Hi,
Woah... 11/11 released on 10/11 ! that is looking into the future
Anyways, jokes apart, did you try it and if so, is Bluetooth audio working ? It's something I would need
By the way : I just looked into the Mokee source. It seems they have the source for device and vendor.
Anyone knows if the msm8996 kernel for xiaomi would work with these ? tat would allow to build other ROM's.
Regards.

Have not tried it~ (bt-audio should be fixed as the mi6 had the same issue and is fixed with currently nightly, dev also added aptx+aptxhd in addition to a2dp)
Mix2 hasnt had it's source released, the maintainer for mix2 happens to be the maintainer for the mi6 (which had it's sources released). As the both use smiliar hardware (sd835, camera sensor) they messed around to get the mix2 rom up. Which is why somethings will not work properly until mix2 sources are released (like the prox sensor and the notif light)

It was. Just needed BT audio. if you confirm i'll switch ASAP
On the newest mokee! You need to wipe everything and do a clean install. Dirty flash and you get a bunch of errors and need to reboot into recovery
