Is there a way to send telegram messages from tasker?
I looked for a solution or a plugin for months now, without success.

"Touchless chat" app includes a Tasker plugin which can send messages as well as having an event condition for receiving messages.

Is there a way to be able to make a group of contacts and be able to send to everyone group a text message? I know blackberry's can do this and I don't see why Android wouldn't

A quick search on the Android Market for "Group Text" reveals 78 results.
Try Group SMS pro. Its free.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
I used the default messaging app for my HTC Vivid. I tried group messaging and sent out a picture to many of my friends. It came to them as a group message, but to me, it came back as a single thread(the original thread, one-to-one thread). It would never come back as a group message. It caused a whole lot of problems because of this. ;(
I was wondering if anyone else had this problem, or is it just me?
Or maybe does someone have a suggested app to replace the default messaging app, that is fairly similar to the default one?

I tried both handcent and go sms. Is there anything more similar to the default app? But thank you for your suggestions.
i use gosms as well and it is great you should use it as well
Do you know if there is a fix for android 4.0 stock messaging app for group messaging?
haha I had the opposite issue, if I grouped people, whenever I sent a message to any 2 people in the group, it turned it into a group message. So I have to send messages individually, if I don't want the entire group seeing individual responses.
Anyone know a fix to this?
The ability to send out to a group of people, more than one, the same message (Multiple contacts in one message), without turning it into an "all can read responses" group message.
So you could send out a group text and it became as group message for all? I wish I could do that. What messaging app do you use?
This has been asked in other places for other phones, but I've never seen this answered. Here's the scenario:
1. I receive a group text normally
2. I respond to the group text a few times and it works fine as a group text
3. I respond again to the same group text and it suddenly sends my message to each person individually
This is maddening! I am using a VZ Moto Maker. Still on 4.4 cuz I don't want to ruin root. Using Handcent, but I've experienced this with stock app as well.
Any ideas?

I'll give Hangouts a try. Hopefully it will solve this. Thanks. I wish Hangouts had the popup notification like Handcent.
Talk to verizon. Group messages are sent as mms witch uses the data side of your phone. It could just be a sim card or settings issue on there side. Are you getting all of the picture messages you are sent and do your picture messages send without issue?

Hey guys. I'm coming from a S7 so I will use that as a reference for what I'm trying to do.
On the S7 if I sent a text message to two or more people I can reply all in the same thread or had the option via a little check box to send the messages individually. However, when I send or receive a group message I'm getting individual messages.
It sucks because if someone sent me a group text I can't see who else they sent the message too. And if I can only reply to it individually not as a single thread.
I hope I explained this properly. Does anyone know if there is a setting I'm missing here or is this "feature" not supported on MIUI stock messenger app?

Total PITA but that's the way MIUI handles texts unfortunately. I have looked for a solution but haven't been able to find one...

I'm with you...I tried editing APN's, multiple 3rd party apps, etc. and can't get a solution. It's one of the things I have to live with for the time being.
Yeah, it really sucks because I have a handful of co-workers and friends that I use the group text with and now I can't use it. It's nuts that it's not supported.
Like you, I tried messing with APN settings and 3rd party apps but to no avail. If you find a solution please let me know because I'm seriously annoyed right now
I seem to have it working on an app by app basis. It works best from the default messaging app, but I hope this is something that will be fixed in the future.

What network are you on and what are your APN settings? I don't even think the default messaging app has settings pertaining to group text...not as far as I could see
I found Textra to be the best workaround for this. It has some smarts to figure out the group messaging... better than others at least.

AT&T, and their suggested settings for NXTGENPHONE
TextNow is an awesome app I found that lets you make WiFi Calls and also text over WiFi and of course supports group text messaging.
However, you will have to choose a new # which is not really a huge deal. Just another option for you guys. Been using it for a couple days and it works great!
I will try Textra as well and see if it works.
Textra is the solution . Supports GIF too

Yes, it is. That is what I used for messaging now. TextNow is good for WiFi text and calls though.
Hey all, I have a CLT-L29 on 8.1.0.131(C782) and ever since I received .130 I've had an annoying message every time I send an email using the stock email client.
Once the email has sent I get a message pop-up saying 'Save User Name To Google' No Thanks / Save.
Whichever I select it always re-appears the next time.
Any clues on how I can get rid of it?
Many thanks

Same issue for me and I can't resolve it.
And I have another issue with my exchange accounts on my agenda, not of all appointments are on my calendar phone it's very annoying!
Ditto for me but using Boxer.
Only solution I've seen is to entirely turn off Google Autofill, which is not a practical way to solve this.
Thanks for your responses, I've switched to my email providers own app which doesn't have the same issue for now.
Let's chase this issue. It is happening to me as well. Other evidences appreciated!
