Installed on CM13/RR and it's working great so far. Had to use Titanium to free the regular camera and gallery but so worth it.

Hi!
I have one question.
I tested CyanogenMOD 9 RC1 by maclaw ROM, but the camera app still not totally works.
I tried with others camera apps and this apps gave crash error.
Exist another way to can to use the camera with more functions??
I guess the RC version is a near final version is a release candidate, so I think that the camera should work a little better, or otherwise should still be in Beta.
Exist another way to use a camera with apps like instagram, hdr camera etc??
Sorry for my english.
Greetings
Well..
The camera works only for taking pictures.
Without them open max drivers, we can't get video recording.
I was browsing the forums. and there are a number of ics roms for other devices.
They don't have video camera but they are RC.
Try any fingersoft camera app, i've heard they work.
same here. camera not work at all i try install other camera apps, still not work
About a week ago I switched back to KitKat because I've got to have Clear Image as it significantly improves image quality with the 1+ camera in most situations. I installed the cm camera and while it appeared to work initially it would constantly crash, have other errors, etc. Plus modes like slow shutter and clear image didn't work. Any word on this working yet on any Lollipop roms? Thanks!
Have you tried clearing app data??
Sent from my A0001
No issues on mine on k900's build
Does clear image work?
Just tried sideloading it on my device running official CM12, works just as well as it did on CM11S as well as clear image

Yep, works fine here on CM12 nightlies - I used full Gapps from @gianton which includes the CM11S camera & gallery.
The only thing that doesn't work is 4k video recording. Unless someone knows how to get it to work

4K dci Works fine here
4K uhd FC
Picked up a Moto X Play for family in Canada.
The Camera interface isn't the most intuitive, was hoping to use Google Camera but every app I seem to use seems to crash when switching from camera to camcorder mode, currently on the March security update for Marshmallow.
Does anyone else have this issue or can recommend a decent camera app as an alternative?
Try Open Camera or Manual Camera.
Yeah open camera is a nice one.The stock camera app is working normal on mine.Try to clean cache of the stock camera app.
Opencamera crashes.
Google Camera 2.7 is actually working, so the problem is with version 3.1 and later... Guess that's why they pulled it from the Play Store

When switching from camera to video camcorder mode, it says 'Can't connect to camera' and crashes the app

Sorry i was mistaken with motorola stock camera app. Maybe google camera is crashing because it cant find a gyroscope sensor which is needed for the 360 pictures.
Looking for a camera app as well; stock Motorola camera is too slow on launch in taking pictures or I itializing video. I've tried clearing data and cache. Google Camera works besides camcorder mode.
I used Open Camera. After installation, the first time I have it hung. Resetting and poked in the settings. In the "interface settings" disabled "show slope" and "show the direction of the compass." As long as such no longer hangs.
Thanks to the Snapdragon 636 soc and Being stock android

Thanks for informing that it's working. How usable is this update? Any crashes navigating through or any basic features still not working or lagging? I would be happy if video, photo and portrait work fine with no issues.

Everything works except slow motion(like other ports) but app needs alot of improvement,it crashes alot(sometime freezes my cell and i have to restart it-which is bit annoying) ,, but i m keeping it just because of night mode ,,,and portrait mode shots are not better than old ports (not a big difference in my opinion) .

Is night mode working can you share ss?
I recently updated from OOS 8 to 9.0.5. I haven't found a camera that supports slow motion, which worked fine in the stock camera in OOS 8. I've tried the camera that was installed with 9, the one that came with 8 (restored via Titanium Backup), and a port of the Google Camera 7.0. In all cases I crash out of the camera app back to the home screen as soon as I select slow motion.
Any suggestions for apps or setup options? I'm a music teacher and I use slow motion to show students their hand movements. I would really appreciate having it back.
