Hi all,
Can anyone help with a problem after flashing to 4.4.2?
I've got an i9295 that was provided by T-Mobile in the UK. I flashed my phone with I9295XXUCNE4_I9295NEECNE4_I9295XXUCNE4_HOME.tar.md5 which is designed for the 'Nordic countries' but I was assured works with UK phones, "all i9295" devices. Everything went swimmingly until the phone booted up. Everything is working and the flashing went as expected (I've done it LOADS with my old Galaxy S2). However, I can't turn on the WiFi. It doesn't even light up the icon.
How can I diagnose the issue? Or can anyone provide a ROM that might work better with my phone? Heck, I'd even settle for the stock ROM so at least I can use the WiFi.
Thanks for any help you can provide! I'm familiar with flashing ROMs so I'm not a noob.
Cheers,
Richard.
i'm having the same problem as well. Need help please

In the end I had to find a stock firmware to put the phone back to 4.2.2 and it's all working again, although it's not Kit Kat anymore, of course. There is a really good list of stock firmwares here: http://www.mrcrab.net/androidfirmware/GT-I9295/Samsung-Galaxy-S4-Active-GT--I9295.html
I guess I'll have to wait for Kit Kat...
Yesterday, my phone just decided it didn't want to be connected to a network anymore. I was running DynamicKat ROM. It just happened out of nowhere and continues today. I've tried flashing different ROMS and they install fine, but I still can't register to a network. I believe I need to update the modem, but I'm not sure. I'm currently on baseband version ANK4, but I think I need to update to BOC4. Does this sound correct? Any advice would be great, and if you might point me in the direction of any files needed it would be greatly appreciated as well. No need to link, but just a general section where I could find the files would be helpful as I seem to have little luck with the search function here. Thank you in advance.
EDIT: Ehhh... Nevermind. It just started working again. I can't explain it. Suddenly I was connected again.
Always a good idea to check your APN settings if you are in a known coverage area with a new ROM. Been my problem 90 percent of the time

Funny you mention this as I run the same ROM and have had this occur to me whilst traveling around my area and in and out of T-Mobile "Dead Spots" which seem to be many...
Even called T-Mobile to report and best they could tell me is go into "More Networks-Mobile Networks-Network operators" and select - Select automatically.
A real PITA when you driving down the road and need to call out or re-connect your call with someone.
Note: I've had numerous issues on different ROMS similar to this so I pretty much blame T-Mobile and their service in my area unless someone else can chime in, I would be curious...

I had a similar problem on DK, except that it was unmounting my sim card completely & I had to reboot to get it working again. Happened every hour or so, very frustrating. I tried a different rom & the issue went away, so it's definitely something funky with DK which makes me sad cause that's my favorite rom.
I just reflashed it last night though & I took the precaution of completely reflashing ANK4 through Odin and redoing root & TWRP too, then flashing DK like normal. So far, so good(and it seems to have fixed the battery life issues I was having as well, yay), so you might try that method & see if it helps for you too. But be sure to back up your internal storage first cause odin WILL wipe it. Learned this the hard way, bye-bye all my pictures & titanium backups :/
Files I used can be found here.. BOC4 is for LP, so you should be fine with ANK4.
Ok so I deleted all my software and redownloaded fresh
reflashed bootloader and radio from @firstEncounters post:
Followed @Skrilax_CZ 's CM 12.1 install guide for CM13
Still have the same radio, so I thought it was straight talk, called them today.. blamed it on me of course...
little while later I suddenly get 3G and Mobile Network now work...
But it still wont activate 4G.. Maybe cause I'm not technically Verizon? but it that doesn't make sense cause service was perfect on stock..... NOW my GPS is jacked.. like it can locate me.. but If I start moving its over for...
I know you guys gotta be tired of seeing me... And if you've seen something I havent done yet tell me..
My next stop is to go back in TWRP, Check all the WIpe boxs and thenGo back to @TheSt33vs guide for SU4TL-44 firmware package and start over...
Thanks again for all your help... Hope I can get this resolved... Im sure it some dumb **** im over looking...
LTE is on... Voice is off...
How do post a log of network?
The story
Hi everyone, thanks for reading me and thanks for your time.
I am stuck with this galaxy S5.
I got a S5 in the past, a beautiful SM-G900F on which I run lineageOS no problem whatsoever.
I bought another S5 from ebay, turns on it's a G900A.
Had problems from the start, the phone seemed to often restart instead of turning off normally, and I had severe battery drain both while on and while turned off. So I went to this section and looked at Root, Roms and other cool stuff and followed the guide to put up a custom ROM.
The problem
The first step, installing the experimental firmware, seemed to work but after reboot no OS would install, instead I got "MODEM CRASH".
So from there, I tried to roll back to stock.
I put on BOF3, which works, but since then I have baseband null and IMEI unknown.
Panicking, I tried to install COI5, but same problem there and also multiple bugs, so I went back to BOF3 and it's all functional, but same baseband/IMEI problem.
I have tried to reset to the oldest stock G900AUCU1ANCE but ODIN fails at the very start. I seem to understand I'm on android 5 and cannot rollback now, somehow.
If anyone has any idea on what I can do realistically.
I have no EFS backup as when I started I didn't know what EFS was.
Thank you all for your help.
I have seen many topics with this problem but I have only been confused more by them so forgive me for posting here.
Bump!
Can anyone help?
I updated my moto x4 from Oreo to pie using flash using boot loader. my boot loader is still locked and software status is official too. It still is unable to update to January security update. Please help !!
yes I have also facing same issue... i have also try by safe mode but shows something not right .... reconnecting to server... might be Moto update Services try to connect moto server which has not able to connect due some issue in server... hope so this is issue...
you can connect to moto support team let me know what they are say for this issue.
They told to reset and try again.. to do that I got to backup my data which LL take time.. so on hold as of now
Yup, same here. I got the Android 1 Google Fi model (Bootloader unlocked, unrooted). I'll try again in a week and see if it resolves itself.
And another ~ bought 2, mine showed the update 3 days before my wife's but won't start (download and install now, via wifi only and it reverts back to the settings screen). She got the notification last night and it took first try. First time I've had this issue in the 4 months I've had the phone, just glad I'm not alone here....
Since you're official/fully stock, there's not really any alternatives besides factory reset or await for full image is available to manually flash via fastboot method. You do not need to unlock long as you stick with motorola firmwares. Links in FAQs thread.
Nothing new here? Mine keeps nagging me to do the update, start it and it shows getting to 17% on step 3 of 6, then just kicks me back out to the setting screen.
This is my first android phone (from a flip), couldn't get lineageos to work with my provider (RedPocket) and have neutered as much of the google crap as possible. Right on down to disabling all permissions for Play Store. Could that be part of my issue?
It has been nagging me since last few weeks, no solution apparently
New Update:
Could actually able to fix the issue by installing a vpn and set it as a USA based server.
My phone was bought in US and I was using it elsewhere. After using an USA based IP it downloaded the update and voila.
