Updating my samsung galaxy S

I have sumsung galaxy GT i9000
version(PDA:I9000BUJS3 , PHONE: I9000BUJS1 , CSC: I9000GATLJS2)
I wanna upgrade my cell to official (gingerbread),so tell me guys how can i update my cell. which firmware version should i download n if some one shares a tutorial video that would be great thx in advance

assuming that u dont want it to be rooted .. go to sammobile.com register >>Firmwares> select your location and download the latest rom . Flash it using Odin by going into download mode(Volume down+power+home button). google for flashing through odin

u shd check kies if u want to get offical upgrade from ur carrier .. tho sammobile is also alternative

If your destkop is running any kind of linux,
install heimdall and get freshest firmware from sammobile.com,
(take a into firmware naming: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1356325)
get into download mode, flash firmware.
If you like to root it, I recommend midnight kernel:

Go to h..p://w.w.samfirmware.com and register.
After login, qou can download the latest official release.

Sir i did what u said but the problem is after clicking firmwares all i had on my screen was this! i want a firmware which supports pakistan or am i wrong ???will these firmwares do the work??

Sorry, mate, but you are messing two things:
- OFFICIAL update, which you are asking for - is available ONLY via Kies.
- STOCK update - you can use samfirmware, or Ramad's thread.

k so how to download kies coz i cant see any option there to download kies

I would recommend you to use Mysterious Finder, top secret, do not populate it!!!.
There, you would find the field to input what you are looking for.
I suggest you to write: Samsung KIES.
You will be amazed how this big secret works there

sammobile has nothing comon with OFFICIAL, it is STOCK

P1n Stock Rom Needed

i looked in sammobile but hotfile have been shutdown and rom not uploaded to terafile yet
if anyone have 2.3.6 for p1000n please help me get it .
