Features
OTA Updates
Cypher has OTA Updates and it's amazing! Why? OTA Updates are very useful
and can decrease your download sizes, which will then take the load off your
data usuage and/or bandwidth. These updates are known as incremental updates.
Packages that are smaller in size compared to a full ROM download. Let's point
out some of the useful things with Cyphers Updating system:
* Instant-Install: This is the bread and butter. Instant-Install provides a seemless
experience for automatic installation. It uses the OpenRecoveryScript, which generates
your install based on your preference selected from our options menu. Choose your wipe
preference, download the update and hit install, then sit back and enjoy a cup of coffee
while your installation takes place.
* Notifications No one wants to constantly hit that check button right? Well thanks
to Cyphers Updating system you can set your device to notify you when an update is
available. That's not all! You can also set your own notification sound, as well as tell Cypher
when to check for one. You can also skip an OTA if you're content with what you have.
Some updates may not be incremental, and maybe full downloads!

Glance
*Objective: Glance is a new Cypher notification system, changing the way we interact
with our notifications, combining the full on experience from Motorola's Active Display, with a
stunning user interface. Things don't always need to be complicated. Glance makes things simple.
*Lockscreen: Bored of your Lockscreen? Love Glance's beautiful UI? Well, you can make it your
Lockscreen! Wake your device and receive a greeting from Glance. Unlock your device with a stunning
Material Design Circle Animation. No graphical redraws. No wake locks. It just works!
*Motion: Glance was created with the user in mind. It was designed to interact with you! Your body
motion can trigger Glance, from picking it up, to waving your hand, viewing your notifications on the fly
have never been easier!
There's so much more to Glance. Worried about Battery life? Worry no more. Glance was designed with a unified
power management system to reduce it's battery intake. Using your devices sensors and Glance's smart motion
tracking system, Glance is smart enough to know when it's being triggered.

Muze Audio
*Objective: Muze is a new Audio Management system to improve the quality of your Music.
Using a custom made V4A based driver, your sound will be richer than ever, with no distortion,
punchy bass, and crisp clarity. Bring your music back to life with Muze Audio!
*Drivers: There are 3 audio drivers integrated into Cypher and merged with Muze Audio:
Contour - A power saving driver, delivering the best sound possible whilst taking almost no hit on battery or performance. Highly recommended if you want to squeeze out as much battery life as possible.
Phoenix - A high quality driver, taking your audio up a notch whilst delivering rich and crispier sound. This is considered the standard driver for Muze Audio. It's a balance between high quality and power saving.
Magnium - The highest of the highest! The highest it's gonna get! Higher than everyone in Colorado!..Too much? This driver delivers the absolute best of Muze Audio, giving your devices performance no mercy. Yup, it's a performance hitter, mainly eating your battery, but is a great choice for those that want to get the top tier standard out of their music.
*TUNEqualizer: Just a basic equalizer ehh? Not quite. TUNEqualizer is the core of your Audio experience. The included presets aren't enough? Then make your own custom one, tapped into the core drivers and audio profiles, you have a better chance at making your music better, instead of worse. Great for the guys that aren't AudioPhiles!
There's no reason to spoil it all by rambling on about every feature. Check it out yourself! Muze Audio is in full force and steady growing each day!

I gave this a try and everything looks good, but I have the same issue I've had for almost two months with any MM update. I can't send any text messages, but I can receive them .
If anyone has a solution please pass it along. In the meantime I've gone back to a working backup.

Nice.. Does it support moto display and other functions..?
nice!!! great work, I'd like to know better about the screen optimizations, does this rom comes with a custom kernel?
Is ambient display working?
This rom has got some serious smoothness specifically due to 5.1! Kudos! @AFAM91 Yes ambient display is working!

I have XT1092 model does not detect this ROM on my wi-fi network
And the second thing is it possible to install the original software camera?
Thanks a lot my dude and keep up the good work!
Looking good so far, however I noticed a bug in this build that was present in CM12 and has since been fixed. Basically, video playback can stutter and refuse to play. Crpalmer attributed it to the mixer paths and too efficient playback decoding I believe these are the commits that fixed the problem

The video playback is a kernel commit (or commits). It fixes Motorola's code handling the amp for offloaded av playback.
Wifi Problems
I tried this ROM on my XT-1097 and my phone was unable to detect Wi-fi networks as well. Interestingly, after leaving it aside for a couple of minutes it suddenly detected them, but after a reboot I was unable to get them working again, so I decided to revert to 5.0.x until this is fixed. I hope to be able to upgrade soon. Anyway, thanks for your effort and bringing 5.1 so soon.

This is a known bug with cm12.1 (which I'm guess this rom is heavily based on). After a reboot you have to turn wi-fi off (and let it settle) then turn it back on
Any way to adjust the vibration intensity?
Sent from my victara using XDA Free mobile app
I managed to get WiFi settled in,even after few reboots. Still in the beginning stages so I know soon these bugs will get fixed. I hope the gps lost signal issue gets fixed as well. This is not just on this ROM ,but all cm based roms

Interestingly enough, Google Messenger(sms client) is the opposite: it allows to only receive SMSs, not send them. That's why I actually asked, I though smth is wrong on system level. Some 3rd party sms clients work ok.

Yes some features was added but nothing new, most roms had that features; last week PAC just become beta, they do their move before Android N arrive. Maybe you are able to test it? I appreciate some feedback.
Looking forward to support for other models. 9190/9195

Just tested it, all seems OK. I was a bit surprised by the size of the ROM, seems about 50MB larger than other MM ROMs. I wonder if it is because of the boot animation.
Call volume seems a little low, but this is typical since arco lowered it. You may want to consider reverting this commit, I have done so for my AOKP and CM builds because many people were complaining. If you want, you can use my serrano-common repo, this commit is reverted in it and also have a proper sized boot image included. I will keep the pac-6.0 branch updated.
Finally I see extra features, hopefully it turns into a great ROM by the time Android N surfaces
One more note, commit your changes to the kernel, it shows up "dirty" but runs well

The rom is bigger than others due is pic odex that give a fast first boot and updates also save space for user, of course not all apps in system are odexed, have some configs for installed apps you can see it in build prop. I will change the volumen values for the next release, the kernel just have KSM enabled you can see it in init.d. I will check your device tree, thanks.

The idea was provide support for i9192 because that is my device, so i can test the release also do a build take long time for my pc is only 4Gb of ram. I will see in the future for untested releses for i9190 and i9195 but will take some time. Usually i do weekly releases but my internet is really bad now and im not able to sync the sources.
Update ready, Merged all CM, PAC and ARCO changes.
Revert Audio changes.
@tenshi_xp great rom, the features are great love the fast boot and boot animation. Everything works good except for some touch error. Tell me if this is my screen, or everyone is facing this problem. I like that it takes less space in internal storage than cyanogen. Great work!

Can you describe the touch error?
After long usage, it starts to interrupt wherever I touch. Like if I am typing and I type any alphabet, it shows touches on notification bar. It usually happens after 3-4 hours usage.

Great to see a Lineage Nougat ROM, will be trying this out! :good:
Good job, can't wait to get support for flat!
Yes ! Awesome i will try when it will be possible to use daily ?
Fevax, do you think that is better this ROM or Resurrection Remix of Jesse I know that both are working together. I like more RR but I think maybe this will be more "stable" I know that isn't stable but I need to know what of both do you think is the one with the least bugs? Thank you so much for this fantastic work, I send you a message on FB (old message) because my english isn't so well and I know that you speak spanish too.

Oh it's okay, I saw that says "98% 16 minutes for complete charge" and I though that wasn't fast charging.
Incredible work so far Fevax!
Currently trying your 20161230 build and the improvements from yesterday's build are great - no crashes so far at all. I sideloaded gmscore, phonesky, googleloginservices, and googleservicesframework (which I took from @jesec's rom) to system/priv-app and it all seems to work fine with the stock gapps package. Packages are updating and I'm no longer getting any errors prompting for the framework to be installed.
So I guess I can confirm gapps to be working if you sideload those applications
Bugs:
> The SD can be read by certain apps for music and pictures, but cannot be read by file managers
> Headphone output is super quiet, phone speaker output is fine
> 3D rendering and general performance is mixed
> Otherwise, I can confirm that what you've listed above isn't working.
Interesting things:
> Enabling software buttons increased the framerate

agreed, and also like in RR 7.1.1 Youtube videos in 60FPS make the phone get really hot and battery drains incredibly fast. Also thoses videoa stutter or the image stop while sound continues.

We’re really excited to announce that we are releasing our Nougat flavour of Paranoid Android. We have a lot in store - with a mix of both features & improvements.
First & foremost, we have moved our code base to be fully CAF based. This brings many improvements to your device. The key improvement here is that Qualcomm hardware is better tuned on the CAF base and with our additional optimizations we can provide a smooth and fluid user experience that will let you enjoy using your device without any lags.
On first launch you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson who’s teamed up with us again and created several beautiful pieces of artwork. For those of you who don’t know, Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work stands itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We have also added several new features and made improvements to the UI of the system that we believe would enhance the overall experience.
Pie
We’ve been working hard on redesigning this key feature of our portfolio and we’re really happy with how it has turned out. The whole design has been reworked and it fits in well with the overall feel of Google’s Material Design. This gives you the opportunity to use more gesture based control for navigating, rather than using the standard Navigation Bar at the bottom of your screen. Expect improvements and additions in the future.
Color Engine
We’re proud to announce our newest feature - Color Engine. Color Engine allows you to seamlessly change the colors of your device to be in Light, Dark (Pixel) and Black modes with a variety of accent colors to choose from. This makes changing the theme of your device really quick without having to install any extra packages on your device.
Pocket Lock
This feature prevents any form of accidental input when your device is in your pocket by disabling input sources. You can simply release Pocket Lock by long pressing the power button as highlighted by the minimal UI incase of any sort of obstruction or dust on the sensors.
Accidental Touch
Accidental Touch is a feature useful for many, especially the gamers out there. It prevents any sort of accidental touch on hardware buttons while the touchscreen is in use. This means you won’t experience any unexpected behaviour while playing games, web browsing or even when attempting to reach your finger out to the edge of that humongous display.
Major features:
- Reworked Pie
- Color engine
- Pocket lock
- Immersive mode
- Buttons customization (including navigation bar)
- On the spot controls (OTS)
Minor features:
- SafetyNet Compatibility
- Battery/Notification LED control
- Recent tasks locking
- Battery icon customization
- Google now page in default launcher
- Accidental touch
- Three finger swipe Screenshot
- Substratum (OMS) support (Color engine will be deactivated if you use Substratum)
- Quick pulldown
- Various performance and battery improvements
- Display Burn-in protection (for OLED screens)
- More to explore
Note: Custom kernels are explicitly unsupported and will cause issues
unless they state that they are AOSPA compatible or AOSPA based!

Should work, but it's recommended to flash stock first. But you can do that in one flash. So when you're in TWRP, flash the stock zip, and flash Carbon right afterwards without a reboot or anything.

We do not actively workaround SafetyNet due to various reasons. LineageOS has a well written explanation here.
If you want SafetyNet I recommend checking out solutions like Magisk or various custom kernels with "SafetyNet patches".
I can confirm Safetynet passing when you use MagiskHide Props config module:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-magiskhide-props-config-t3789228
You gotta change the fingerprint with props -f command
I installed this ROM today, first I tried LineageOs bit I got force close message with opengapps. With this ROM everything is fine and I just setup everything with no problems or glitches as of yet. So it looks great to me. Wil report back later
Everything is great so far. The stand by drain is also good 4% overnight.
One issue is that Network Traffic Indicator is not working, it's there but display 0.00kb/s
It would be great if the rom allow display calibration like DCI-P3 and vibration motor adjustment

I have been using it now for a couple of days. A few things I have noticed:
- The Mobile/data icon constantly keeps switching between LTE/LTE+. I tried changing the icon to 4G but then it keeps flipping between 4G/4G+. Also the signal icon is never full. For example in my room on the top floor I always had full signal bar with OOS
- Battery drain seems to go a little faster then OOS, any tips to improve this?
- I tried paying with my phone/bank app/nfc chip at local supermarket and it did not work.. It worked on OOS/magisk/usb debug disabled..
Is there a change to get OOS camera or anyone have a good working google camera app?

LTE+ and LTE are different modes. LTE+ means "LTE Advanced" which allows for carrier aggregation (see Wikipedia). I believe OxygenOS is not showing the + by default (Android allows to configure that internally). As for stength, it might be worth checking the actual db values as theres a few carrier know for cheating at the shown signal strength. Those cheats are "disabled" in AOSP.
Battery: So far reports all deliver an improvement or even experience with Oxygen. It might take a few cycles to "settle in".
Paying: The miracles of SafetyNet. I'm not familiar with the whole Google Pay stuff so I can't help you there unfortunately.
There are a few OxygenOS camera APKs you can install that work fine. Also all @Arnova8G2 GCam builds are fine.
I knew LTE/LTE+ are 2 different modes. But your story doenst explain why it keeps flipping from LTE to LTE+. Everywhere I am, walking trough the city, in the park, near the train station or at home it keeps switching from LTE to LTE+. Every 2 to about 10 seconds or so. This results in constantly moving icons in the top status bar which is pretty annoying. Also it doesn't make sense it would switch between the different modes so much right?
How do I check the db values and what are db values?
I've been using the first Pax build (STABLE) and just updated! Great battery! (I swapped kernel cause ViPER4Android)
There was a conflict with ViPER BT (not processing after about 5 seconds) however, kernel in 5/6 may yield stable results, we'll def find out.
kernel adjusting automatically. very stable; low load avg.
Spectacular CarbonROM, Thanks Myself5 I'll continue with the included kernel for a Carbon experience!
Amazing ROM, first time user and loving it. Thanks for such a hard work!
I'm using with MinMicroG and works like perfect, amazing battery life.
Would like to know some issue, in settings, Spoof package signature is available but I can't see, for playstore/fakestore! Why is that?
i want to try this rom. can anyone give me correct steps for installing...would be much help.??
usb file transer not working for me thanks for the rom
