how i can remove the buttom from the navbar? - Moto X Q&A

I want to remove a button from the navigation bar, and so just leave 3. I want to do from the sistemui, not Xposed modules. I just want to leave back, home, recent.
How?
Thanks

This is the buttom

It will be easy if you know how to decompile systemui.apk and play some code on it.

Question. Is there a way to re-arrange the on screen buttons?

My question is there a way to arrange the on screen buttons? Like for Home Back and Recent apps?
The 3 main navigation buttons on the phone. Is there an app that will let us change the button order or add a button? Is there a Rom that will let us do that? I ask because I have the LG G2 and it will let you re-arrange the buttons anyway you like. You can have 4 buttons or three. You can have the home button first or the back button...or any order you choose.
Does anyone know of an app or a Rom for the Moto X that would do that?

It's a relatively easy mod if you are rooted. What order do you want? Post your framework-res.apk, SystemUI.apk and SystemUI.odex and I or someone else can do it for you.

[Q] Google editition - Disable 3 dot menu bar??

I can't seem to figure out how to turn off the black bar with the 3 dot menu button on my google edition. I am using xposed framework and gravitybox to map the menu button to long hold home. Is there a way to disable the black nav bar 3 dot menu using xposed some how? I am aware of the build.prop method of doing it but that way removed the 3 dot menu from chrome and apps that have one built in.
Thanks.
I am also having this problem. Help would be greatly appreciated!
I am not sure if any mod can do it but you can install a custom kernel like Bulletproof, it will give you the option which installation if you want to remove the 3 dot menu and keep htc logo as the menu button.
Hit thanks if this helps

Softkeys Navbar

i am having a problem with the softkeys navbar.
what i remember, there were supposed to be another button where i pointed with an arrow on the screenshot i have added.
i tried to search on the forums but coud not find anything
how am i supposed to get that button back
i cant enter the settings of some of my apps like Facebook without that button ?
i am running rooted stock rom
android ver. 4.2.2
build number: 10.3.1.A.2.67
The menu soft key is only displayed when required by an app. It is not displayed on the homescreen or in apps that do not need it.
To access Facebook's settings, pull the drawer out from the left and scroll down to find the settings.

[Q] AOKP nav bar buttons on stock

Is there any way to add extra buttons to the nav bar in stock (.283) like you can in AOKP, Carbon, etc.? I don't even need all of them, just the last app button. There are some apps that do this by adding a floating button (LAS), but I want it on my nav bar. UDN doesn't work right, and doesn't let me customize the buttons for some reason. The only other way I've found is to decompile the SystemUI, but I'd rather not do something that risky if there's an alternative. I was on Carbon for a long time and I really loved this feature, but I need the battery life that stock gives. I've found Xposed modules for everything else I'm used to, this is the only thing missing. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

use gravity box and add custom key to get it!
:good:
I've tried that, and it's not suitable for several reasons. First off, GB causes layout problems in the recents panel, making the small apps inaccessible. No matter what I toggle, it doesn't go away unless I disable GB. Also, the button appears to the extreme side; I was hoping to get it as a main nav button, like in the custom ROMs.
Looks like I might have to decompile after all. Oh, well. Thanks for your reply, though!
I used this xposed module on sock 4.3 for modify navbar buttons:
Xperia/AOSP NavBar Buttons
I don't know is it working on 4.4 or not. I am using Carbon at the moment.

This is a known bug in the latest GravityBox version. Download the ”no_translucent_recent” version from this post.

You might not even need a separate button — with GravityBox you can assign actions to the long press of the “Recent Apps” button, and to the long press and double tap of “Back” and “Home” buttons. There is also the “Navigation Bar Ring” feature (you can add more actions than just Google Now).
@kanyazsombor
That module doesn't have a last app button. Thanks anyway!
@sigprof
Long press takes too long, and double tap on anything other than the recent key for a recent app feels... Wrong. Picky, I know, but still. I hadn't thought of using the nav bar ring targets, will try that as soon as I can, and the bug fix you mentioned. Thanks for your help!

[Q]How can I change the navbar buttons?

Hi users.
Does anyone has an idea how to change the menu button on the navigation bar with the recent apps button??
Tried g2tweaksbox and when I enter the sub menu in settings to change the layout the settings app gives fc.
Anyone has any other idea or solution to change that button?
Thanks.
Sent using my GFlexing phone ? ?
Not a total solution, but I don't use the softkeys.... I use pie controls. They stay hidden until you swipe from the bottom , left or right screen sides. With it you can have any button combos, color, size or actions.
Works awesome. Assuming your rooted and use xposed

You need Root permissions, besides the Xposed and module Xstana, next run Xstana and restart phone to changer, I have it installed on my LGL23 and working perfectly

Xstana module only themes your navigation bar and I need to replace the menu button not to theme it.
