Hiya I got a tmobile l90 d415 Its software is on d41520c 5.0.2 an so far its rooted but i think i need to unlock the bootloader an maybe install a custom rom. Im just not sure about which process to unlock my bootloader. Thank you everyone on xda for supporting this cool phone!
Your bootloader I unlocked so no need for that, proceed to installing custom recovery, TWRP is obvious choice for many reasons.
Look a bit around forum and you will find all you need just go easy and good luck !!!

hello i have been using xda forums for a quite a while now and i really appreciate the help from every one here. My question is i got the sony xperia z1 which has me stumped with the bootloader unlock i really enjoyed cynaogenmod on my galaxy s2 when i had it and i never had any problems installing it, but with this phone i can not get the the bootloader unlocked, mine says bootloader unlock no, i have been looking every where and people have been saying that you can not unlock the bootloader if it says no. I have managed to get it rooted but i would love to have the custom rom installed can some one please point me in the right direction, or is the answer still no that it can not be unlocked? and if so will it ever be able to unlock?

If it say no the answer is still no. You cannot unlock bootloader or install custom kernel. How ever you still can install custom rom which uses stock kernel.

thank you, could you point me in the right direction with that atleast? I tried looking for that also and still could not find any thing i read i still would have to go in to fast boot mode but when i get in to it all i get is a black screen.
You only get a black screen with fastboot, the commands are issued from the computer.
However you do not need fastboot to install custom roms with a stock kernel. Look in the development section for them

Hello, I want to root my new Xperia Z3 Compact just to uninstall the carrier's bloatware. It came with 23.1.A.1.28 (i exchanged it for a new galaxy alpha, it was bought at the beginning of June ).
Rooting status says : Bootloader unlock allowed : No.
I don't even want to try to unlock it. Is it possible to downgrade the firmware with locked bootloader?
Will i lose anything? If possible, I'd really like to have a complete guide on both downgrading, rooting and upgrading back.
Thanks.
Hm, that's weird, I've checked "Search" and it's working just fine. Use search or check sticky next time.

sorry and thank you, i did actually try searching for it but i was overwhelmed by what came up and lot's of it lead to guides containing unlocking the bootloader and i'm not really confident tinkering with android much
U can root with downgrade method. But thats all since u cannot unlock ur bootloader. If u follow the posted guide u should get it. Have done it with the guide without unlocking
great, I was kind of confused, I thought i need to unlock the bootloader to flash anything, including the downgrade
Okay, so I may ask quite a dumb question, because I do not want to proceed to soft/hard brick my device
but I am not too dumb, So far I have rooted and flash many sony devices and one Asus + Mi device
I did research on HTC, learned about S-off, will be glad to google futher or watch youtube vid that is not in english to follow/learn the correct way
So just that It won't be hard to explain me
Just that, I have HTC Desire 626s T-Mobile device,
and it is sim locked, But bootloader unlocked,
What I want end result is, I prefer having a custom rom, with google play compatibility and without bloatware, so maybe CM roms are best, with root functionality, and I do not care much about Security, but keeping it off seems better,
There are just soo many tools out there, to unlock boot loader, flash twrp, and ROMs
So I'm confused, as some threads have title like for AT&T, Sprint, I don't know if those will work for me, if I flash/follow Sprint's instruction for T-Mobile device that I own, I may end up bricking a device which is not much in development right now
So is there any proper way/thread/method/video/guide I may follow from start to end with either custom or stock(with bloatwares removed) ROM with SIm Unlocked, S-off, and Root
Hello, I am new in the xda community and I have an old device that I wanna install a custom rom called LineageOS.
Due to my problem, I am stuck right now for a few days searching for an answer :crying:. My only problem right now is unlocking my own bootloader since I didn't see any forum or any websites that teaches how to unlock my bootloader since installing a custom rom requires a custom recovery.
Please help me so I can install the custom rom that I chosen.
Hi, I'm pretty new to installing ROMS. Infact I don't even know what unlocking bootloader means and how to do all this stuff but I would like to learn how.
I heard that rooting/installing roms is specific to each device and brand and since I use a Redmi 9 ,here I am.
I would like to get help on the following topics:
-How do I unlock my bootloader? Does it void warranty? Can I lock my bootloader again at the time of selling?
-How do I install a Custom ROM and Custom recovery? This might be a noob question but I seriously dont want to brick my device or anything.
-Do I need to root my phone to install a Custom ROM?
Any links to these topics would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the help.
You'll probably be better off if you go to Google and YouTube and do some research on your own. About the bootloader its possible to relock it but the status may change to relocked.
