Stay on 4.4.4 with FireKat. Then install xposed, appopsxposed, greenify, titanium backup, adaway....etc.

I currently have devices on both and for the Note 4, I would disagree. From a heat management, lagging, battery life, and overall customisability standpoint I prefer KitKat.

Today is my first day with MM. Was on the 5.1.1. For last couple months and before that KK. IMO 5.1.1 > 4.4.4 > 5.0.1. So far, MM is on par with last LP with maybe a little more polish - no lag, aesthetic supervisor, screen off note, and improved app management.
For those having issues with latest update, I'd highly recommend formatting both internal and external storage and factory reset before and after update. Also, hold off on using xposed, debloating, tb and data restore for a while to gauge the full potential of OS as intended before messing around with things.

What is the ROM file for this phone, please
Any help please

Safest Way To Root

Hey everybody, I just got my note 3 this morning. I'm not new to rooting but I don't know the root procedure for this phone. Could someone please guide me in the right direction? My build number ends with MI9 if that helps ..

IF using MI9, use RDLV on it, and quickly, before it gets the OTA update (I'd disconnect it from networks entirely until it was rooted. Don't use RDLV if it's gotten the update!)
If it's not on MI9 anymore, your only options are kingo/vroot. Both of those are not allowed to be linked to on XDA because of suspicions about them being malicious (though many people have used them and reported no issues)
Downloaded rdlv last night left my phone charging woke up to my wife playing on it. She took the update cuz the phone asked her if she wanted to update. :banghead: anyway to downgrade don't really wanna use the other 2 options

No, you cannot downgrade the firmware. I think trying bricks it and trips knox warranty void.

RDLV is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2474422
Kingo/vroot - we're not allowed to link to here.

when we will have kitkat rom ?

I saw there are tons in note 3 development thread but didn't find any for ATT ver.
AT&T Note 3 has locked bootloaders, so we will not have any kitkat until AT&T releases it or we have a leak released.

So, if we can flash a kernel for KitKat, in principle, we can customize the system of KitKat for N900A.
Is there any way to install a virtual kernel, like Safestrap for virtual Recovery?
That's the problem. We have no way to flash kernels.

Yes. If you put an at&t simcard into your phone as long as it's the SM-N900A you should be able to update to 4.4.2.

If you install 4.4.2 you won't be able to root or anything else for that matter. If you really want to update to 4.4.2 don't worry. It won't erase anything on your phone.

What is latest update?

I have cod6 5.0.1 is there a newer update to install?
Nope. Won't be getting another update from Tmo for at least 4-6 more months.

And it's for this same version of the t mobile note 4? Not the new revision or whatever?
