If I open the camera via widget locker (one of the ics sliders) there's no Zoe option in the camera UI. Anyone know why? And how to fix it as well?
You have to change the shortcut to open the camera application. Instead of Widgetlocker Actions, select Application (to launch) and choose camera.
Hello,
Has anyone experienced a problem trying to set a wallpaper in portrait orientation from QuickPic? In my case, if I browse the gallery in QuickPic, find the picture and try to use the HTC Gallery (Sense 5.5, Android Revolution HD 53), it simply doesn't open. If I try to use QuickPic itself, it only allows me to crop using a fixed landscape cropper.
Please give me some ideas how to get rid of this annoyance.
Thanks!

Yeah. I get the same thing. Unfortunately I think it's an issue with QuickPic. I think its default is to assume that the homescreen is to use scrollable wallpaper, so when you swiped through your different homescreens the wallpaper would shift along with it. That's how it was on my previous phone (HTC Inspire). And it's not actually setting it to landscape by rotating the dimensions. It's setting the width at 2x the screen size. The screen dimension of my Inspire was 480x800. If I wanted to use scrollable wallpaper, I would choose an image 960x800.
Since the m7 doesn't use scrollable wallpaper in the stock launcher (and I don't think there's an option to turn that on, but I could be wrong), QuickPic kinda screws that up. So it's better to use the stock Gallery app to set wallpaper. It will set the correct aspect ratio with the crop tool. Open the Gallery app, find the pic you want to use then set as Wallpaper (not QuickPic Wallpaper). Or you can go into System Settings>Personalize>Wallpaper, Select Wallpaper from Gallery.
On a related note, some 3rd party launchers allow you to set the wallpaper to be a single screen or scrollable. I use Go Launcher and if I have it set to single screen, I can use QuickPic to set the wallpaper and it sets the crop tool with the proper portrait aspect ratio.
Thanks, sharksfan7! I figured it might be something of the sort. I'll send a note to the QuickPic developer, maybe he/she will be able to sort this in a future update.

However, that brings me to my second question: the stock Gallery app does not open if I browse to the pic in QuickPic and try to set it as a "Wallpaper". Any idea what might be causing this? Anyone?

Noticed that as well. Again, probably a QuickPic issue. If you have Google+ installed you'll probably see a "Wallpaper" option using Google Pictures in that Set As list as well. If I select that, the whole thing just crashes.
If you go directly into the Gallery when you want to set wallpaper it works as it's supposed to.

Strangely after reading this, I went to QuickPic to have another go at setting a wallpaper and the 'crop box' was in portrait mode! Either coincidental or random update or I just chose the right picture!!
Is there a way to replace the gallery launcher in camera app to use Quickpic instead?
I'm rooted, used to use a xposed module called "Samsung Gallery Any Gallery Fix". Doesn't seem to work on the note 7 though.
Sony App collection
What can my module do?
- It allows you to install most Sony apps from the PlayStore or you download the APKs from APKMirror (Music, Album, Live Wallpapers and many more)
- It supports add ons for apps that aren't available at the Play Store (Widgets, E-mail, Contacts, Dialer, Launcher and some more)
- Couple of functions are still in work and hopefully will be added soon
How do I install it?
1. Download and install the Base module in Magisk
- Now, after a reboot, you can start getting your Sony apps from the PlayStore or you install the from me tested APK's
Optional:
2. Download and install an add-on of your choice in Magisk
- That's all
Add-on description:
The most add-ons remove the AOSP/Google apps and replace it with the Sony alternative.
After uninstalling the module the AOSP/Google app will be restored.
Extra (non-magisk):
3. Download and flash the Xperia Bootanimation via TWRP
Workarounds
How to open AR effect?
- Download and install More Shortcuts from the PlayStore
Open the App and select "Activity"
Search for "AR effect" and tap on it
Now tap on the first entry in the list (AREffectApp) and creat a shortcut
Now there is a shortcut on your launcher with that you can open the app
How to open the Xperia Assist?
- It doesn't create a app icon, it creates a new category in the settings app, so just open the settings and tap on "Xperia Assist"
How to open the Photo editor?
-You have to install also the Album app to use it.
From the Album app you just tap on a photo and then on the edit button than you can choose the photo editor
You miss an app or have a problem with an existing one?
-Just leave a comment and I'll help you as soon as possible.
Do you want an add-on that I haven't created yet?
-Just ask and I will give my best to create it for you.
Gdrive is to slow or aren't available?
-Then use the Mega mirror

For the future
Many thanks dear developer for porting Sony Apps to the community and for making them available to anyone.
I tried 4 Apks on my Xiaomi Mi A2, where I was the most curious about, like for example the live wallpapers and normal wallpapers and I have to say that I was amazed. It remembers you of the PS3 live wallpapers. On top of that it offers many colours.
Other than that I tried Photo Editor which has nice editing features. This one is maybe a bit simplistic in its choices but the choices it offers are compelling. Sony almost always means great quality and you can tell for yourself.
The play store recognizes and finds Sony Apps after installing the base module in magisk which is a bonus. :good:
If all 4 Apks worked, then the others should work, too.
IT WORKS
It works very well on mimix2 thanks jigs4wkiller
PS4 remote play?
After deleting CHplay data it works pretty well, thanks!
Work's perfectly on my MI A1
Does it support arm32?
Hi guys just wondering if anyone can answer me this question.
I have Google photos app but I don't have an option to Blur the background in edit settings.
I'm running protonAOSP with protonkernel and I've tried the Google photo app from playstore and also ask mirror, and I'm running latest PXcam.
I know this is a pixel exclusive feature, but is it not available unless I'm running stock fw?
EDIT - never mind just found out it only works on portrait photos.
I thought you could do it on any photo that had a main object in the shot?
You can if you edit the photo in Google Photos from the Pixel 5.
