C900 kernal after flashing VIE-L09C432B181

I had issues after I semi bricked my NZ P9+ phone.
I used DC Phoenix to "unbrick" it using method two of DC Phoenix tutorial. I then used DCU to change the vendor and country.
Im now running Android M C432B181, at least that's what the phones status is reporting.
However if i use DCU to read the phones info it states its running C900 kernel. See below.
Im trying to install VIE-L09C432B360 via SD and ive attempted the OTA proxy method. I get a message "PT Failed. Are you sure you want to continue?" What does this mean?
Also if i say yes to continuing It reboots and starts the install however it gets to about 37% then fails.
Any ideas ????

Also to note Themes wouldn't work. I've started again.
I've used fastboot to flash the EU OEM partition. Copied the oeminfo file to the same path as fastboot and I entered the command "Flashboot oeminfo oeminfo". I used DC Unlocked to set the vender to hw and the country to eu.
I've then used DC Phenix to flash the factory firmware as in the tutorial.
I've then used the SD Card method to install C432b103
Once installed checked updates on the phone.
Installed b161 and b170 using the factory OTA method.
Themes work now but it's not finding any updates since b170.
Using *#*#2846579#*#* I see that it reports that it is still using C900 kernel.
Hello all,

VIE-L29 - No Press Touch

Hello all
Please may I ask for your expertise. I have searched online and all I could find is that the VIE L09 64GB version does not have press touch.
I have the VIE L29 with build number VIE L29C185B360. It is the 64GB in Gold and it is the Dual Sim model. I am running Android 7.0 and EMUI 5.0.
My phone does not have press touch. Is this because of the ROM or is it just the phone version that does not allow for it?
Thanks

Sim card issue with L09C432B370

My Phone was an AL10 that I debranded to a L09. I was using B360 and my Fido sim card was working on 4G speed. Now I have upgraded to B370 via OTA and the phone says "no service" with the card in SIM slot 1 and I get 2G with my card in sim slot 2. My phone's bootloader is locked and is SIM unlocked by default and I rechecked via *#*#2846579#*#* and it says SIMLOCK_DEACTIVE under Sim Lock Info. Does anyone else have the same issue? I will factory reset my phone later today.
Does it need to flash hw.zip file too?
Did you find a solution? Same issue. Updated to L09C432B370 and now I do not have any service.
Had the same issue. Solution which works for me was to flash manually (using dload folder and restarting phone with both volume pressed simultaneously) first update file (unzipped update.zip into dload @ local memory) from earlier firmware L09C432B360 fullota-mf-pv available @ Firmware Finder.
Then I flashed the same way fullota-mf-pv 370 one two files consecutively.

I had the same issue! Even flashing the 2 files manually it doesn't work for me. My solution... Remove the pin from the sim card in another phone. Connection is ok only problem that i notice now, even more than before, is the batery life reduction.

Huawei and (lack of) updates

Hi guys/gals,
So currently I'm stuck with firmware PRA-LX1C432B172, after forcing the update using FirmwareFinder (else I would be stuck at B161). But there are a few new firmwares available (B179 and B181 for single sim and B180 and B182 for dual sim).
Is there any way to force the installation of those firmwares? Because huawei keeps on having new builds and those builds are not made available through OTA updates or even have authorization for install.
The Mate 9 guys have a patched erecovery image that allows them to skip the authentication.
Note: I've been able to install dual sim firmwares on my single sim device (without enabling dual sim) because most firmwares include both a PRA-L11 and a PRA-L31 data package.

I've tried the eRecovery trick, it downloads the firmware and in the end gives an error and doesn't allow the firmware to get flashed.
Are there any hardware differences between the P8 Lite 2017 Single sim and Dual sim phones or is it all software differences?

Rebranding Problem

Hi ALL
I just rebrand my P10 L09 From Australia Voda Version To Europe Version
but the problem is after rebranding. there is a duel sim option shows up in the Settings
Any idea or i just the wrong rom
Which firmware have you installed? VTR-L09C432 or VTR-L29C432?
There are some guys with L09 and dual sim feature, which should only be available on L29.
But there's no negative thing on this except one line added to the settings. You can still use a SD card.
