Needing some help guys.. Does anyone happen have a copy of the SegoeUI font APK? It's the one thing I forgot to back up before I went to MM (I know obviously, my fault), and now I'm a sad panda. I could have sworn I got it off here at one point in time, but it appears that those APKs no longer work (maybe a Marshmallow thing? I dunno.) or the link is dead.

It appears that one is no good either. Do you think they changed the way fonts are working in MM?

Yeah you're right they changed the way fonts work in Marshmallow it has to be Flipfont compatible or you get that error probably due to licensing issues with free fonts.

While I understand why they likely did this, it still bums me out. Thanks for the input, I thought I was missing something.

Doe anybody know if this is possible? Now I only got the background on the hometab, but it would be nice if it is shown all the time... A quick search didnt do the trick for me

Yeah i would like something like this too.
Maybe even an option to have a different background pic on each tab, so say i have a Dark Knight pic on my home page behind the clock an stuff when i move across to say settings for example i could have a different pic there instead of the plain black with the squares underneath!

Me as well, did a quick look around the picture files and was hoping that it was just a normal background picture, but I had no succes as well :S
well i assume it wud jus be a case of replacing the image of the grey squares wherever that file may be. for having different image per tab would probably need additional software i would assume. then again, im just guessing. gonna keep this thread open because this is something i really want on my diamond

Ah ok, I assumed "This is not possible till now." meant it was not possible before, but it is now. Very confusing lol.

Has anyone tried saving to sd card, flashing an old 2.1 kernel, applying the update and then switching back to froyo kernel?

Why? I've given up live wallpapers for the most part because they tend to slow things down too much, even with a lag fix installed.
I'll still give it a whirl after you figure it out, though.
i tried pushing the lib files over but ran out of space and couldnt push the apk...funny thing tho, i left the libs in the system when i restarted my phone, poof! no signal, X'ed out like there was no sim...i deleted them and rebooted and poof! back to normal lol (and airplane mode was off the whole time btw)

this swype version (2.8.50.12867) was extracted from orange israel's (Partner) galaxy s.
whenever i try and install this apk it wont install.
is there anything that needs to be change for this galaxy s swype to install correctly on the nexus one?
the reason i am asking is because it is the only swype version to support hebrew text.

i dont get why it would be wrong especially if its pulled from a different rom. for example, if i pulled it from a g2 (which it comes with already) then hows that wrong? its just like pulling the wifi calling apk. i maybe wrong but its just my opinion.

If it's Hebrew swipe support you want, I suggest SlideIT, not the most accurate swype algorithm but the only one with proper Hebrew support.

I agree! Post the .apk.
Swype from Galaxy S might either rely partially on Samsung framework (not too likely, but not impossible if this version was integrated on a code level - and then someone might have used the framework functions or resources), or employ some kind of detection mechanism to verify the environment it's installing on (quite likely).
I also think this application itself counts just as a leaked ROM would.

The only way it can be posted is if it is part of the rom that it was shipped with.

Actually my family did.... Grandfather was in the SS.
With all the hype with the new 1.83 update just about over, I was wondering if someone would be able to help me out with something?
I have been searching around trying to find a way to get some of the Galaxy S LWP's to work on the Atrix. Particularly the Ocean Wave with the ripple effect. There are a bunch of apps on the Market by ProSama that are very similar but all claim not to work on the Atrix. Why is this?
For some reason these LWP's don't actually manage to load or for that manner get past the "Loading Live Wallpaper" screen.
From a bit of searching around it looks like possibly one of two things. Either the resolutions are all wrong or the Atrix is missing some library files to make things happen, maybe the "libmnglw-0.8.2.so". Possibly a combination of both plus root access. New to android so I have no idea which.
I have attached all I have and was wondering if someone might have the time to look through them and find out why they may not be working on the phone? The library files are in the zip folders if anyone wants to have a look.

First, the were written for Android 2.1 devices.
Second, the resolution is all wrong for the Atrix, they're hard coded for 800x480 screens.

Kinda what i was thinking. I'll spend some time maybe trying to replace the image with something to test it out. Any thoughts on the library file? Possibly needing root and pushing the file to the correct system folder?

Yep.. you need root so you can push the .so file to system/lib
As for the LP, you'll need to do more than just replacing the images.
The whole rendering is coded to 800x600.
There are several java components that will have to be updated and at least one xml config.

I managed to get the lib file in the correct directory. Used gingerbreak and gladenable. Then root explorer.
Played around in the apk resized the image. But that's where it ends for me. I'm a noob when it comes to Java sdk and signing the apk for that matter. I really do appreciate the help thus far.
I guess no time like the present to learn something new.
I am on a rom i flashed from here that doesnt include googler caller id due to proprietary reasons, which is understandable, so i was wondering if anyone could point me to the right direction to finding a way to install this on my nex6. I googled and seen kit kat links only and ports. A reply or PM would be fine. Im not sure if this is considered "piracy" if so please delete. I just want to use a feature that came with my phone, thats it

I am pretty sure it is part of the dialer itself. I don't have a solution just a little insight.

Yep. Maybe some can rip the dialer.. IDK if its as simple as moving the stock APK over or not.
