Huwaei p9 Lite VNS-L21 - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

Hy,
i have a VNS-L21,
first i installed the VNS-L21C432B120 firmware over the existing "without backup"
after this i unlooked the bootloader, install trwp and supersu276 and changend oeminfo to eu 432.
i don't know what i do, but the phone says now under HISuite hi6250 before it was a Huawei VNS-L21
so i tried the huwaei recovery vol+ & vol - & Power with the VNS-L21C432B120
The installation start but after 5 % ist says: Software intall failed. "incompatibility wiht current version"
how can i flash the software.. i don't have a zip for this soft.
ps:
sorry about my english

have somebody a full stock image and the orignal custom.bin and oeminfo ? VNS-L21

Same problem with my phone, need full stock image with custom folder.

Hello
I have huawei p9 L09 rooted, bootloader unlock i have twrp recovery and I'm on cyanogenmod rom. But i dont like the interface, i won't to restore emui rom stock. How can i do?

Go to TWRP & Do Factory Reset (Do not Delete Your System) than Shut Down Your Phone & Flash Your Stock System via dload
Thanks for your answer but this method don't work. Whene I shut down and tried to flash stock rom with dload ( press power button + volume down + volume high ) phone start on the twrp recovery. .!!?
Do you have the USB cable unplugged from the computer when using dload?
No cable connected. But on my sd I have other files with dload file ..that can change something?

It's too late now but at the time when you had your stock ROM and you installed TWRP, you should have made backup of all partitions in TWRP - now, you will just restore stock partitions and voilla.
From FirmwareFinder download b386 build but it MUST BE FullOTA-MF-PV (not the incomplete MF one), and install by DLOD, 3-button boot method. It will hard-reset firmware (but also recovery) to the stock b386

Make sure you press both Volume keys together, and not after you press Power key.
Nevertheless, you can flash stock recovery img (adb/fastboot, same way as flashing TWRP), and you will get rid of TWRP

For the beginning (to obtain bootloader code, to debrand to c432) follow the guide:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/how-to/guide-debranding-to-c432-updating-to-t3551523
However, once you successfully debrand and install c432 b182 (still Marshmallow) do not cotinue by manually installing b361 (the guide is old), rom b182 you will auomatically receive by OTA first b383 ((Nougat) and then b386

Are you already coming from EVA L09 c432, with Nougat? If so, follow instructions
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rom-huawei-p9-magic-rainbow-t3601064
section (4) How to flash Firmware (b386), points 1-17
If you were on EVA l09, c432 but Marshmsllow, you should probably install b182 same way (then you will obtain OTA upgrades to Nougat).
If you are not on c432, you must debrand to c432... or you have to install your corresponding MM or N cXXX firmware.

AL10 Can't get OTA to work

I have an AL10 with Chinese firmware. I used SRK Tool for Huawei and did the following
1. unlocked booloader
2. install twrp
3. Flash L19C646B190 from twrp
4. root
5. update oeminfo to C636
- After this step I had issues that when I boot the phone kept on asking for a password to decrypt the storage. I booted into twrp and tried to change the /data partition to ext4 from f2fs, but couldn't
6. Tried to flash L19C646B190 using UPDATE.APP and volume up + volume down + power, but couldn't. Phone complained that the firmware was incompatible
7. Used SRK Tool to update ro.build.display.id to EVA-L19C900B00. It was #ro.build.display.id=disabled
8. Flashed L19C646B190 using UPDATE.APP and volume up + volume down + power
9. Bootloader was locked again and twrp replaced with stock recovery after flashing
All in all the phone seems to be working find, but OTA is not working.
How do I go about getting OTA to work again?

Worked like a charm, thanks I changed my oeminfo to hw / meanaf for c185 and flashed an offical L19C185 from Huawei. Immediately got all the OTAs and the device is working great.
For anybody with an AL10, don't bother looking for a L29 ROM, just Flash n L19, it works perfectly. The OS sees all the RAM and storage space
I flashed L09 rom to my AL-10 and everything is working fine too
I also have an al-10 and I'm tired of the Chinese rom.Can I change it to another rom?

First download Huawei update extractor
Download firmware finder
Download the right firmware from firmware finder
Extract the ROM
Using the Huawei update extractor extract system.img, boot.img, recovery.img
Flash them via fastboot commands
fastboot flash xxxx xxxx.img
Boot into the stock recovery and do a factory reset.

The PRA can only be updated via OTA from the system. With a lot of luck, the recovery via wifi works via eRecovery.
Boot so into eRecovery:
Connect to pc, or charger, vol.- press and hold power until writing appears, then release the keys. After a few seconds the eRecovery will start.
If you didn't succeed, follow these instructions: Threadupdate: 2018-01-04

I haven't received any updated, I tried with the firmware Finder with diferents rooms from there and once it is downloaded the phones restard and start to install I get an error firmware failed and always in 6%, what I said I already try with at least 5 diferents rooms. I changed the proxy and same firmware failed. I also try installing it manual adding the update.app to the d load file in the sdcard and the same failed. The Nocheck img is made for Honor View10 . Did you test it work with Honor 9 lite?
Thanks:laugh:
I did and it works. I'm guessing the hardware is similar enough.
@bkgoto
"with this way i have my Ho9L reflash to stock-rom" ("Ho9L" = short-write for Honor 9 Lite)
it's work by me ! test it.
what can happen ? the update stops at 5% and do nothing.
after you can flash the stock-recovery or twrp.
Background
Huawei check the phones "if this update for this phone ?" and is the answer "NO" : update not install.
This is the point for "NoCheck.img" : this install all updates AND it's your risk WHAT for update you install.
The other word is Freedom for you AND responsibility for you.
Install never updates for other phones !
I only write what i do on my phone AND give you no warranty !

i mean i flashed the recovery and the proces went fine, but i dont know why i cant get in to the recovery
3 Recovery's :
1 eRecovery (stock-ROM)
2 NoCheckRecorey
3 TWRP
OTA-Updates only work with eRecovery (i am NO tested with NoCheckRecovery)
NoCheckRecovery is a modifyed Recovery what's doing is the Name : "No Check" (Post #6 : Background)
TWRP is a "stand-alone" Recovery with "Install, Backup, Restore"
If you make Backup with this TWRP (normal: data + system) you can Restore this Backup with this TWRP
Example: you have a good working ROM with settings and apps
- TWRP Backup "My ROM now 1"
if available "dev-ROM-xyz"
- TWRP wipe data
- TWRP install "dev-ROM-xyz"
- reboot to new ROM
check if this ROM work and if is it this what you need
you think "NO"
- TWRP restore "My ROM now 1"
Phone is reset to state "My ROM now 1"
i hope you understand the differences

The issue lies in dm-verity (checks system integrity on boot) and maybe encryption. The problem is the only GSI guide doesnt include a fix for this problem
what firmware recovery_ramdisk do you need? what custom rom have you flashed? what twrp have you used? what customization do you have?We need more information.
p.s. you can download any firmware from teamMT web page, then use huawei extract tool to extract the recovery_ramdisk image from it.

The Flashing of the custom rom wen't wrong i think. i used twrp 3.2.0 for p10 and now i have no customization only unlocked and rooted bootloader. But now when using the huawei tool form teamMT it asks for 5 files
-System.img
-Ramdisk.img
-Cust.img
-ramdisk_recovery.img
now i can get the top 3 of those from the update.app i got from the huawei firmware finder form teamMT but i can't find the Ramdisk_recovery.img and without the i cant use the unbrick function ?
so do you guys have any clue where i can find this becease i checked the unbrick thread but the recovery file from that thread link is death ?
The thing is it keeps booting. i get the screen where you need to press power 3 sec to boot but it does not boot. i can boot the e-recovery and all but not twrp or anyting else. Also the erecovery does not do anything.
any ideas on how to fix this ?
kind regards,
Redshock
