Okay i tried that now i got these errors
Wrong platform: arm64
This file is for: arm
Please download correct package for your platform/rom
Failed to mount /data
I can't check data at mount for some reason
Edit: i got a samsung s7 if that info helps in any way

Then you have to wipe and format data , it will removes encryption on internal storage. if not works try a factory reset in stock recovery them try again, S7 is encrypted out of the box and Twrp can't read or mount data.
Then use :
Twrp 3.0
Xposed installer : https://www.dropbox.com/s/lx499hic3kpsd72/XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk?dl=0

[TOOL] Simple full wipe cache flashable zip.

Hi guys,
Didn't saw any simple full wiping cache script for the Galaxy S3, so I decided to make one and share it to the community.
It might help and be useful in some case or if you are lazy like me at some hours :laugh:
Feature :
Wiping cache
Wiping dalvik-cache
... and .. that's all
Just flash attached file via CMW recovery, (or directly via CF-Root CMW app if you are more lazy than lazy ).
Enjoy !

Flashing it like this will not create any advantage/benefit, but It can mainly solve various problems which is very often concerned by roms, kernel, after apk installation, or maintenance, etc.
How about a version with fix permissions too?

Depends on where you want to put it, but generally people put them into their "/sdcard" folder.
is it possible to create a script that can wipe cache, dalvik, fix permissions, then reboot? that would be really useful
Sent via TCP/IP
what's the problem with just wiping it manually? recovery->advance->wipe dalvik->wipe cache->fix permissions ?
This is for lazy/on-the-go members -_-
Recovery executor by fraggel does this from an app - in addition to flashing zips and installing apks.

@DarkJoker360, I already found the problem with your rom... Inside your zip file (cm-11-20160621-STABLE-tass.zip) there is a folder with the same name... And inside THAT folder are the rom files... Extacting that folder, and re-compressing the files solves the problem and makes it flashable
EDIT: It`s only flashable through CWM 6.0.5.0.

Hi!
Hmm how 'bout with gapps? As I see ROM is above 104MB and is ok I think.. but, after flashing free space I got = 35-40MB on /system.
And soo.... your gapps pico = 44MB. So... I see problem and you?!
How to reconfigure gapps? I know that in gapps zip we can make .gapps-config, but idk what this file need contain. Could you help in this case? I really don't need **** apps. I need only neccessary to well google shop working.
P.S About ROM I got to tell you.. that is really nice, I think. Lot of programmer settings and options to configure system more advanced. More possibilities to monitoring partitions space etc.. and debugging.
System work well as I can tell you for a little bit more than 1 hour usage. I appreciate it!

Sure, u got right, but file is still bigger as I have free space for that on /system. I got only 35MB. Is right after clear flash?
CWM 6.0.5.3: Throw error 70 and .log told me that, he hasn't got required space for that.
P.S Moreover I did full wipe and format /system and /data and /cache paritions and dalvik, before flashing.
SGM got only 200MB on /system as you well know.
P.S2 hmm.. I opened this zip and as I see in Core folder is really pure. I mean... there aren't apps to remove IMHO. Hmm.. any ideas?!
P.S3 I did all once again.
-> Format /system
-> Format /data
-> Format /cache
-> Wipe data/ factory reset [rather the same like format /data and format /cache + format sdcard/.android_xxxxxxx [ x's mean - don't remember] and sd-ext]
-> Wipe cache [im not sure, but this is the same as format /cache, at least printing on out is the same]
-> Flash ROM
-> wipe data/ factory reset
-> wipe cache
-> Flash gapps throw error 70
-> wipe data/ factory reset
-> wipe cache
-> wipe dalvik
-> reboot
... first start ...
-> reboot to recovery
-> wipe data/ factory reset
-> reboot
and... .hmm.. installation as clean as possible IMHO. I can't do that better.
P.S4 Camera doesn't show any preview, but earlier, on old ROM I had the same problem [sometimes] - hehe.. I learned my phone flying and swimming And sometimes he had any wierd actions with itself
Hmm.. any problem with kernel? Or earlier ROMs I had?! I had.. 2.3.4 Andro-ID v3.1 -> XXKPI baseband, kernel was recompile by tjstyle [guy from Andro-ID]. <--- anyway I think that shouldn't do any problems.
Of course with your ROM:
Kernel -> 2.6.35.7-androidarmv6+ by Jenkins
CM Version -> unknown
P.S5 Sorry for my English, ain't my national language.
P.S6 Ouuuu..... OC working good? I can OC to 800mhz.. nice.. In general - performance tab which is visible after unlocking programmer mode work well? Can I do any settings there?

MHA-L29C636B172 perfect boot image

Hi guys
if anyone is interested in testing out this boot image i created for my c636b172
removes all encrypt, perfect mounting options for all partitions (this took a while to figure since some caused bootloops)
also reduced voltages for wifi module (may be unstable, if anyone has problems let me know i can try and adjust, otherwise if im not getting problems ill just keep decreasing it)
how to install
1. make sure twp is installed
2. in data/dalvik-cache delete arm and arm64 folders.
3. boot into twrp > wipe cache and dalvik
4. flash the boot image in twrp (flash image select image flash to boot)
5. if you had su installed, flash the zip again
6. go to wipe cache and dalvik again (just in case)
7. reboot and enjoy, theoretically should be slightly faster, and less overhead.
Download
https://www.dropbox.com/s/msda9a3smy9lqb4/modBootv2.img?dl=0
if anyone has a request for their specific boot image let me know and ill add the same values.
Thank you for your work. Is this only for C636 devices or would this work on any device.
Could your reassemble it to add features like DT2W (doubletap to wake)?

i think DT2W is disabled, no flags of it in the boot image, you can try this guide.

the boot image is for the c636, im not sure if you can flash it on another base you can try just have a stock boot.img handy
or to be safe you can send me your boot.img and ill edit it the same.
Thank you for your friendly offer!

Using a file Explorer with root support, navigate to /data/dalvik-cache and remove those 2 folders. Alternatively use a terminal app and 'rm -rf /data/dalvik-cache/arm*'.
I guess you could use the file manager or terminal in twrp.

Well, in fact, first what I've done after purchasing the phone was disable Updater.apk and unlocked bootloader -I don't care about OTA. I only want to know is this TWRP working well and could be used as a daily driver. If yes I would gladly flash it. All in all I could make recovery backup, right?

I've flashed it and it work absolutely great! Thank you so much.
One more question: can you tell me what is "System image" backup? I thought I have full system partition backup when I choose just "System" and "Data" if I want to store my settings and apps...

You don't have to backup the system image since stock images are available.
Please keep in mind that TWRP does not backup the extremely important /data/media folder. See also https://twrp.me/faq/backupexclusions.html. So I usually do the following: Via TWRP's terminal I move media to media2 and then backup the data partition. When the backup is finished I move media2 back to media (you also have to do that when you restore your backup obviously).

Temporary boot don't have successfull permissions to create system backup. For this, use permanent flash.

Thanks for this Junior. I've installed it and works. Over wrote the previous ver so didn't have to format data. Finally able to make a backup straight to the sdcard.

I have the alternate TWRP installed.
Can I just flash this in fastboot and overwrite the other with no other steps needed?

Yes, it should overwrite previous one.

Great, so I won't have to wipe anything, just carry on with a new version of TWRP?

If you've wiped in previous version then it's already done. You can start using this.
