Ho guys, i found a port of the Xperia X ROM on the Z5 forum. I was wondering if someone is able to port it to our Z3+, it would be awesome!
(Sorry for my bad english)
I dont know how to port a rom, tried the z5 Xperia X Rom with little moddifications but it didnt boot... But i am on it making a modded Rom for z3+ which will contains all stuff from xperia x what is possible. Will still take some time.
Will it be a vanilla port (without custom features)? Because I like to stay as near as possible to the stock feel, I don't like to have many custom features.
Sorry for my bad English.

Sorry for the delay, two weeks vacation.... As i have some wired problems with the Xperia X Settings, i will upload the X-modded Rom within this week without Xperia X Settings, this means you cannot use the Smart Cleaner (even if the Smart Cleaner works bugfree). Everything else is working fine.

The Rom is/will be based on latest 32.2.A.0.253 FW and i didnt make much changes to it, only the necessary things for including the Xperia X things. I even left all original Wallpapers Themes and so on in it so you will have the choice between Xperia Z Line and X Line Style.
Edit: Here it is http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z4/development/rom-xperia-x-rom-v1-0-t3438046
Hm, my rom should work on the Z4(no guarantee though)

Many of the apps ARE ported, but they are contained within custom roms. To be honest not that much extra functionality is added with the newer versions.
Finally quite a few Sony apps have been modded so that they'll work on phones from any manufacturer - I see no reason why they couldn't be installed on the SP.

[APP][KK][4.2+] 1-Click "TaskKiller" (CloseAll BG Apps) NoRoot - Z,Z1,ZUltra,ZR,ZL
Hi all,
I just want to share a really Really useful APP with all of you!
* This works with Z, Z1, Z Ultra, ZR, and ZL (and MORE!), And has been tested under android 4.2.2, 4.3 as well as 4.4 ! *
* Said to be working with many other Xperia devices as well

When you look at your "Recently opened apps", you feel like an idiot swiping away apps one by one?
Whereas you see your friends using other manufactures like Samsung can simply clear all of it with a single button?
So you always want/wish to be able to do that?
Fear Not !
The Japanese version of Xperia Z (SO-02E) does include this feature!
And i'm here to share it with you all!
Best of all, it's beginner friendly and NO ROOT Required !
[Instructions]
1) Simply download the APK here: TaskKiller-1ClickCloseAll.apk OR TaskKiller-1ClickCloseAllZ3.apk (See Screenshots)
2) Install like a regular APK
3) RESTART your phone ! (MUST)

Sadly it doesnt work on my Xperia Z with 4.3.. getting parsing error when trying to run the apk
In my recent apps I already got like two close icons in each top corner, one closes all apps except the one opened and the other one closes everything. It's the same right?
Was like that in my ExistenZ 4.3
Sounds good, kill bg task without root. try it.
Works with stock 4.3 thanks

It shouldn't though. There custom ROMs which work on the TX (Android 4.4.4) and that don't come with Sony's bloated OS/Apps.
Then it's time i suppose to start theming an AOSP rom :victory:

Sure.
Comliled with O3 flags as well, means its much more smooth than any stock rom.
I will include a complete Z2 framework port, as well as all AOSP apps either themed to look like Sony ones or replaced with original Z2 ports.
However, performance and stability have maximum priority for me, so I will only add bugfree Xperia apps and retain ART compatibility.
Working around 90 hours on this project now, but now there are only two more apps to be themed and I'll release it.
You'll like it guys
EDIT: Check next page for some screenshots
Check these images to get a taste of what is about to come.
Lets change to custom rom.
Sent from my LT25i using XDA Free mobile app
We have custom roms with KitKat, and soon to be modified acquiring Sony interface, but is only themed
They are not the original flavor of Sony Kitkat Roms
But is it, to have nothing
I am very sad really
And to think that my Xperia neo has the true interface from Xperia Z2 with KitKat ....

In the meanwhile let's see if we can make a themed android L rom based on omni
I was telling that for months, but i was an asshole etc etc for some people for posting it.

good work bro.... can i expect the z2 lockscreen and sony smart camera and other stuff which feels like a stock kk rom ?

This camera stuff will bloat the rom unnecessarily and break ART compatibility in addition. I'll not include it by default, nor any of the other "nice to have" apps like Sketch etc.
You may however flash any of the ported Z2 stuff that runs on other AOSP roms (there are enough flashable zips around)..
I will then include an index in my rom thread with working media app packages (based on user reports) and let all of you choose what they want.. Performance or a little more stock rom feeling.
And about Z2 lockscreen.. Tried it, but it seems to be incompatible with Omni. If there is enough interest in my rom I'll put more time into this project.
Might even try to add Z2 SmallApps and taskswitcher. :good:
Hi,
i have a Xperia Z1 with non-unlockable Bootloader. I just love AOSP-Roms but those Roms are just for UB. But can someone make a AOSP-Rom for LB? I think many Users would love that...
Please post questions in the Q&A section,
Thread moved
And to answer your question. No, it needs an unlocked bootloader as AOSP roms require a different kernel to the stock Sony one.
Just to add to the above answer: no, the kernel is different so therefore since you cannot flash a custom kernel on LB, you won't be able to use AOSP.
I think he means use Sony kernel but try port aosp to sonys firmware
And why it work for xperia sp?

well apparently you can flash kernel on LB on xperia SP, not on Z1.
If you think otherwise, show us how it's done

Well i can see that all of that "features" can be made only with root access and Xposed framework modules, and few mods.
Deep in framework, rom is still close to sony stock rom.
For example, everything you can make with apps or mods, except OTA update (for pac), and CM themes.
Everything else is pretty much on google play, and some mods on XDA.
If you want pure AOSP feel, you need to unlock bootloader, this is, how to say, kang version of PAC.
If you say me how to get the flip settings from AOSP on 4.4.4 i would be happy
There is an xposed mod for it

I know how to mod Android, im not a noob . I did all right and carefully. And just if you want know, im on iHackers v5.0 Beta
Xperia Flip Xposed Module is outdated it don't work on 4.4
Yeah i know that. I just wait while Kexec is in development
In old versions of the Xperia Arc, I really enjoyed Time Scape. I know it's no longer officially supported and understand that it was replaced by Socialife, but I can't find anything about this? Is there any way I can get something like timescape running on Xperia Z2 with CM 12.1?
If you can get a group of people who know java programming then it's possible = nah, forget it. The project is dead for ears.
