1080pHFR doesn't show up, so i repeat step 6, reopen the camera select movie mode, go into video profiles and 1080P HFR still doesn't show up, any ideas?

Strange its working 100% but my device is not running marshmallow something similar happened during testing where libs stayed the same even after replacing them will try and delete before copying over new ones think it's something to do with the root binary.
But I will attach the libs to whoever wants to copy them manually while I get that sorted
Extract the zip copy the file to system/vendor/lib/ delete or rename the stock lib by adding .bak to the end of the file name then copy it over set permission to rw-r-r
Libmmcamera_imx377.zip working 60fps
htcNexus2.zip experimental 80fps+ 1080p

Did you give the app SD card access ?
it stores the temp lib in sdcard/Libchanger/ I also just remembered the 6p vendor is another partition and not part of /system so try /vendor/lib/ path
It should work on all MM ROMs these lib stays pretty much the same
Works!! Been waiting for something like this since the launch of this phone! One question: is it possible to make this mod work on different camera apps (for example: google camera)?

Hmm weird but I can workaround it so freedcam outputs 720p at 240fps .
Or try copy stock lib then in Google Camera select 240fps exit copy back modded lib and try reopen Google camera see if it crashes .
Third possible option is to trick it into thinking 60fps is actually 120fps so when it looks for it no crash happens
Here is a log of the crash.
Also want to say that if I use the 5:4 lib Google camera does not crash but I don't have the 120/240 option

Right that lib was capped to 120fps but actually outputted at 240fps .
Attached lib with the same cap in freedcam select 720pHFR it will record at actual 240fps which you can slow down in post.
I do not understand how you want to explain a simple step by step. I try to follow the steps you teach. It has not been a resolution of 1080p 60fps.

this is a work in progress, and i'd like to get some feedback.
i added an option in Camera > Advanced Setting > Storage > Save to External SD
when checked, images and videos are saved to /mnt/sdcard/DCIM/Camera just like CM7.
when unchecked, they go to /mnt/emmc/DCIM/Camera
something might be broken. i haven't tested it thoroughly.
flashable zip of Camera.apk (based on cm#73) : http://www.mediafire.com/?o3ohnvct9236b1c
source code patch : http://www.mediafire.com/?zdg48e8101212q0
also included : restore zoom menu in video mode. force to label the second camera and "Front"
status : images and videos can be saved to either internal or external sd
issues : unknown yet.

there are two patches related to 1080p 30fps high bitrate recording by LeJay.
one is in the source code of Camera.apk to enable 30 fps at 1920x1088
second is in "/system/etc/media_profiles.xml" to increase bitrates.
first one has been included since nightly #65.
second one can be manually done by editting that file. (may require to reboot to be effective.) there is flashable bitrates.zip in LeJay's original thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15290203&postcount=197
which one did you mean ?
the answer is yes on the source, and no on the media_profiles.xml

thanks, rori.
well, the idea is not mine. it was a request by someone from nightly thread.
i figured i would take a look and see if it can be done.
the storage location was hard-coded in the source.
i managed to make it work, but it might not be a right way.
so i would welcome any comment, suggestion, criticism, etc.
as you already know, cm now supports swapping /mnt/emmc and /mnt/sdcard, therefore it is less useful now.
however, it still could be useful...
but i gotta admit that this would be the last thing in my list for now...
if anybody is interested, i have a necessary patch to do this.
just pm me.
p990 camera app w/ option to save in internal sd
the patch is still good w/ up to date code.
recompiled Camera app w/ cm nightly 187.
flash http://www.mediafire.com/?rpy44ns352q2c8d from cwm
camera app compiled for #204 at http://www.mediafire.com/?wcm0ie5dlb29zb8
again, you can set storage location from advanced setting

could you elaborate a little bit more ? what happens ? does it just not save ? does it gives you an error message ?
ok, i downloaded camera.apk that you compiled for CM7 #204 and applied the patch via ClockworkMod. I selected this option: install zip from sdcard then i rebooted the phone.
In camera app appears in "Advanced options" to save photos and videos in external sdcard (File Storage - Image/Video Storage) but when i take some photos they were saved in internal SDcard.
There is no error message. Camera app works fine but it's still save in internal sdcard.
My question is...Did i do anything wrong?
Thanks for your attention once more

hi dude,
I applied the patch again then i wiped dalvik cache but nothing changed :S
More suggestions? If you want i can do more tests to help you improvement this patch.
ok. compiled the app, and uploaded at http://www.mediafire.com/?40buw7p3afd7ikn
didn't test the old one, but the new one definitely works for me.
here is a screenshot of gallery at http://www.mediafire.com/i/?x0ekcebc1l4515g which shows external folder w/ 31 photos and internal folder w/ 1 photo.
both are named Camera, which are /mnt/sdcard/DCIM/Camera and /mnt/emmc/DCIM/Camera
btw, if those folders don't exist, i don't know what's gonna happen actually. just in case, create /mnt/emmc/DCIM/Camera. for me it was already there from the MCR days.

I did the procedure again, i applied the new patch, wiped dalvik cache and rebooted but it didn't work. In my phone the path of external folder is different : mnt/sdcard/_ExternalSD/Camera.
Before I use your patch I applied another one to mount external sdcard as a folder in internal sdcard: _ExternalSD like in stock ROM.

sounds like you are also mounting internal as /mnt/sdcard, and then external on top of it, instead of /mnt/emmc.
unfortunately, the path of /mnt/emmc is hard-coded in this one, so it is not gonna work, unless i can figure out how to get the storage location (on the fly) for internal and external in normal case.
but, you can always take the patch, replace /mnt/emmc to /mnt/sdcard/_ExternalSD, and recompile it. that should work for you, and ONLY FOR YOU.
Ηι pastime1971, your mod is giving the standard fps/ kbps like CM nightlies (204)?

Thanks for the answer and your support!
First of all I am using the camera app that came with 204.
I tried to alter the /etc/mediaprofiles.XML to force higher bit rate and fps with mixed results.
I put the minimum fps to 24, and I took some test samples. In some parts it is ok and in some it seems corrupted. (lost frames and artifacts).
(I would really like to have a camera apk like the one of LG, it worked much better over all)

check out LeJay's thread on 1088p 30fps recording.
modifying /etc/mediaprofile.xml was discussed there.
I went to take a picture today and discovered that the icon for my camera had vanished. I restored a backup ... still no camera.
The only thing I can think of that happened is that I was copying a file from my laptop onto my phone and my laptop's battery died ... not sure why that would delete my camera but that is the only unusual thing that happened which I can remember ...
Any ideas on how to to get my camera back? I hate to flash from scratch and start all over ...
I'm on BlackCNA by the way.
The black cna room you downloaded, open the zip file and check in system/app for camera apk and manually place it in the phone with correct permission

is there any camera app for jb that allows video recording and image capturing at the same time
You can pull your camera app from your rom zip file or Google it you'll find plenty of that
In all of the current AOSP builds, the forward facing camera video fails because the information is pulled from msm8960-common. We share almost everything in common with the other devices, but our forward facing camera is of lower resolution so the base settings do not work with ff video on the xt907.
This is a relatively simple xml edit that I have played around with. I have tested on CM10.1 rc and CM10.2 nightly with the stock camera and hangouts video (it starts ok with hangouts, but I'm not where I can have a conversation with anyone right now so ymmv). It should work on all of the aosp based builds.
To apply use a root enabled file explorer, in directory...... delete your existing media_profiles.xml (or add .bak extension). copy this file, remove the .txt extension, and set permissions to rw-r-r then reboot.
I will try and get a flashable zip up later if anyone wants it. That way, you can simply flash it after flashing your rom of choice if you are running nightlies or like to try new builds often.
Let me know if it works or if anything looks like it needs tweaking.
********Update********
it may be necessary to clear data on camera/gallery app after updating the media_profiles.xml file
also adding flashable zip file

Easiest way is to right click the file and save as.
Couple of questions. Which app is force closing, is it the camera? and Which AOKP are you on? I have most of them downloaded. I will try to flash it and see if I can figure it out.

well, the official message is that the gallery has stop responding (same as before) - but this happens when I attempt to launch camcorder in front-facing mode - so yes, it is camera, but I think android refers to it as "gallery".
i believe that video calls for hangouts works fine though (but I'll test again tonight).

OK, thanks. You might have to clear the data in the gallery app, I'm not sure. I got the video camera to work on the AOKP 4.3 9/11 nightly, but I flashed the update zip that I made to test it and it was a fresh install. I couldn't do much testing though because I got the AOSP keyboard is force closing problem.
I will update the OP in a little bit with the flashable zip file.

got it working now.
i downloaded the file this time, e-mailed it to myself, copied it to the "system/etc" folder, changed permissions, renamed the org as .bak, renamed the new file as .xml, then rebooted. after reboot, I went into the camera app and once again got a force close. however, I tried playing around with the settings "record mode" from 1020 to 480, and then went back to FF camcorder, and it recorded! I then changed the "record mode" back to 1080, and FF camcorder worked just fine.
so I think you are correct, perhaps one needs to clear cache/data in the gallery prior to use.
thanks for the tip and the mod! nice work!
to resolve your AOSP keyboard force closing problem, try wiping system before installing the update. this worked for me.
Bit of thread necro, I know... But it's for a good cause.
Have you pushed this fix to CM? I am looking into what exactly needs to change in the source, I suppose we can fix this somehow from CM, and then all of the ROM's will be fixed (assuming they all update with the fix )
The flashable zip worked perfect for me. Thank you so much!

8. Paste into /sdcard/download
9. Move into /system/app (it will overwrite with no warning)
Note: keep an eye on the watch as it will popup a few times with messages (eg. grant root, grant adb access)
Media files to delete/rename/move (/system/media/audio/ui):
Auto_focus.ogg
Cam_Start.ogg
Cam_Stop.ogg
Shutter.ogg
I tried to make it as easy as I could for all of you
Alternatively, you can use root explorer and Google keyboard to move/rename/delete on your watch itself
Alternative Solutions:
- Hold finger over speaker

Just like Samsung phones, the sounds are both in the ui folder and inside the apk. You need to replace apk to stop remaining sounds. So in short, yes it gets rid of the sound

Just a question: the autofocus sound (let me use this name) will be totally removed or just decreased the volume?

Are you sure you replaced it? How did you do it? The modded apk only contains muted sounds

copy and paste with droid manager. also if i deleted the camera apk if wont let me copy another one in the system/app i guess i will reset and try again unless there's a way to restore the original without resetting the watch.

The original (unmodded) apk is available in the restore folder in the link above
Sounds like you have a permissions problem? Do you have root? Perhaps try replacing on device with root browser (or similar)
Hello everybody,
this is an update for the official LG FM radio app, that in my device (and maybe also im yours) was stuck to the 6.20 version. Here it is the 7.10, with a bonus: you can install a patched version that enables radio recording in every country in the world, and also allows you to use radio while the phone is in airplane mode (the funny thing is that in the app's code, it's called "airplain" mode).
If you just want to update the app, install the com.lge.fmradio apk file as usual. If you want to enable recording and airplane mode mod, don't update but just copy the base.apk file to /system/priv-app/com.lge.fmradio folder, renaming the base.apk file to LGFmRadio.apk.
it works kinda
ok so in stock rooted lg g5 h850
the update works as is and also i was able to roll back to the 6version but the MOD does not work . I did not get any record button or smthing like that. Restarted it multiple times and gave the same RW permissions as the original file ....
Do i miss a step or smthing ? idk
On my phone it worked, the app made a folder called "FM Radio" in the internal memory and it stored there the recordings in m4a format. Is the rom you're using deodexed? Because if you have the odex files maybe the recording part of the app is loaded from there. Check if in the /system/priv-app/com.lge.fmradio folder there is just the apk file or also the odex files. By the way, I think it was my fault in the instructions: I said that you had to install the update and then copy the apk file. That is wrong: if you want the mod, don't update and just copy the apk file. I'm going to correct the guide.
You maybe know how to make it work as a Magisk module? That would be easier and better than replacing a file in system folder.
Ok now
It was the steps wrong as u said ...did not had to install the new one only copy ... Man everything works thank you for finding this . Also i saw in the apkmirror many more apks like that ( mainly updates for the apps that we have in g5 ).I think like the radio it is- was updates for lg g6 lg v20 maybe giving them more features over g5 ( to boost sales ?) Could be it ...idk really :silly . Hahah
Thanks for sharing with us

Add that u need to give the same rw permissions and UID like the original file
It may be not necessary but could be helpfull revolving small issues
Yeah, on apkmmirror there are a lot of updated LG apps that work on G5 Oreo. As fas as I know after testing them, Gallery, Contacts, File Manager, Calendar, Clock and QuickMemo work perfectly. Messages doesn't open at all, and camera opens only in Selfie mode, but crashes when trying to use one of the rear cameras.
Of course I'm talking about the latest versions that don't require Android 8.1 or above.
Issue with H830
Installed to /system/priv-app as per the instructions and also the app .apk however in the app everything is greyed out and it does not play nor scan.

Did you plug in headphones? I believe it is needed to use the wire as antenna.
