Hi All,
I have a Oneplus 3 running Oxygen OS (Marshmallow) and I'm trying to pick up an incoming call by voice command. It appears that when my incoming call triggers autovoice continuous, autovoice will only recognize the commands after I have dismissed the call. I am lead to believe this as the toast message from autovoice with the interpreted words is only displayed after the ringing stops.
Has anyone else come across this?
Thanks!
Old post but I'm in the same boat.
Autovoice appears to be affected when music is playing (at least, it did when I tested it). The same probably goes for the ringtone.
I don't know if it is because the microphone picks up the sound or because Autovoice sees that a sound is playing.
Contact the developer. He might be able to help you.
I got it working by simply using the builtin "Get Voice"-action.

Hi!
Does anybody know an app that can be configured to mute only certain incoming calls? I'd like to mute my phone at night but also be able to hear sound notification when eg. my parents and girlfriend are calling or sending me text.
I haven't found anything like this...
Check out G-Profile and the more complicated but also more customizable MagiCall. They should be able to do what your looking for.
Thanks, MagiCall seems to be exactly what I wanted
EDIT
Call Firewall + SMS Blocker 1.4 also is nice
I use whatsapp voice messages extensively. The volume of the voice messages recorded from MotoX is very low. Is anyone else seeing this issue. I tried another app "Smart Voice Recorder" to check if it was a whatsapp issue. Same low recording volume. I returned my phone and got a new one with same issue. Is this an issue with all Moto X phones. Can someone send a voice message from whatsapp or record something using Smart Voice Recorder and let me know if you see the same issue.
Moto x 2013 user here, not a dev.
same problem on my phone: whatsapp voice messaging recorded volume low.
?sniffing around in hopes a solution has appeared.
Interesting I use similar app Voxer and my recorded voice messages are of the same useful volume as all other users. Whatsapp recorded voice messages from myself alone are unusable low volume to all recipients.
Motorola chat support simply recommends to clear my cache partition.
Lastly i found a Moto G chat and those users also suffer: forums.motorola.com/posts/6f9ce30dd7

I am having problems on my GMC to get SMS messages on my AA. When I set it up I chose to include everything except the Phone permission. I chose to use contacts, sms, maps, mic. I have no problem receiving the notification card and listening to the playback on a Hangouts message. But when I receive a text it only shows up on my phone and I get nothing on the Android Auto screen in the truck. Its like I never received a message, so then I have to read it on my phone. I have no problem with using voice commands to send Hangouts and SMS messages, just no notification on the SMS.
The reason I didn't include my phone permission was because I like the way the Intellink works on the truck and so when an incoming call would come in and Android Auto had access I would have to go through it to answer making my steering wheel control useless. So I changed the settings but only removed the phone and now I can use the phone through the truck Intellink but am not getting the SMS notifications through Android Auto.
Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Hello Guys,
I've always used a simple automation to read from whom my whatsapp messages are while I was with my headphones and walking on the streets or the subway. It's useful for me to know if I might have to stop to read any of those or if I could just leave for later.
The events are:
Notification - Whatsapp
Headset plugged - Any
The action is:
Say %NTITLE
But recently, due to a whatsapp or Android 6 upgrade, this not always read the last notification title, but the first unread notification I got in whatsapp. For example, if I get a message from person A and then 3 messagens from person B, it would say 4 times message from person A.
I've tried the %evtprm2 variable as well. Does any one know of a way to fix this issue?
Thanks!
Hi,
Maybe you can look into AutoNotification: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joaomgcd.autonotification
It gives you a lot more info on notifications, but I'm not sure if it can solve your problem. Make sure you open AutoNotification, and click 'Enable Notification Intercept'. Then create a new Event profile in Tasker: Plugin --> AutoNotification --> Intercept.
Hope this helps!
I'm using a third party app to read notifications by voice. There are many apps available on play store for this purpose.
Sent from my Phone
Officially it's not supported, I am aware of it, but maybe there is a solution somewhere ....
I can use Whatsapp and Whatsapp Calls using AA-Mirror but there a few downsides here:
1) I cannot answer Whatsapp Calls, because immediately my AA-mirror screen is switched to the AA-phone screen (but I cannot answer the call, because it's a not supported Whatsapp-call)
2) Placing a call via AA-Mirror requires manually opening Whatsapp, selecting the right contact and press call. It can be done on the car-screen, but it's distracting from the traffic
Another approach is using Tasker and AutoVoice. After pressing the microphone-key on my steering wheel, and 'Ok Google' I can use some shortcuts like 'talk to Contact' which launches Whatsapp, finds the Contact from my contact list, and calls using Whatsapp. It's working on the phone, but when using with Android Auto it's not. Either there is no reaction or I receive a reply 'AutoVoice is not supported on this device'. Ok, I am a beginner with AutoVoice so maybe there is a solution, but at the moment I am stuck here. (if there is interest, I am happy to provide details).
I also 'enabled' AutoVoice and Whatsapp for AA-Mirror (using AA Phenotype Patcher) but it did not help.
Not making this post too long, I am using a Xiaomi A1 running stock Android 8.1, and an Opel Astra
Any ideas and help are welcome!
Once a solution is found I am sure it can be applied to other apps like Skype ... as well
Thanks!
