2 - (bootloader) version-main: 1.18.73.2, is the OS version installed, for S-On this number should be less than or equal to the number just before the word Radio 1.18.73.2, for S-Off any number will work.
3 - (bootloader) cidnum: ORANG202 dictates your device origin, if your device is S-Off this is not important other wise woth S-On RUU flash will fail if the origin of device does NOT match the RUU
4 - (bootloader) security: on Also knows as S-On or S-Off, allows writing to secure partition once S-Off, currently no known method exists to S-Off other than Sunshine method
INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO FLASH STOCK RUU:
NOTE BEFORE BEGINNING, THE STOCK RUU FILES ARE NOT CORRUPT, RUU WILL WORK BUT ONLY IF THE BELOW CONDITIONS ARE MET:
- IN BOOT LOADER, THE INSTALLED VERSION MUST BE BELOW OR EQUIVALENT TO THE RUU VERSION YOU WISH TO INSTALL WITH S-ON
BUT WITH S-OFF RUU WILL UPDATE SUCCESSFULLY REGARDLESS OF INSTALLED VERSION IN BOOTLOADER
- RECOVERY MUST BE STOCK BEFORE FLASHING, YOU CANNOT INSTALL STOCK RUU WITH CUSTOM RECOVERY SUCH AS TWRP
- BOOTLOADER MUST BE RELOCKED
- BASICALLY EVETYTHING SHOULD BE STOCK TO FLASH A STOCK RUU
STEPS TO FLASH RUU:
- RENAME THE RUU FILE TO 0P8BIMG.zip AND PLACE IN THE ROOT OF SD CARD
- SWITCH OFF DEVICE
- HOLD VOL DOWN AND POWER KEY (YOU MUST TURN OFF FAST START UP AND SHUT DOWN IN POWER SETTINGS OR DEVICE WILL NOT ENTER BOOT LOADER)
- SOON AS DEVICE ENTER BOOT LOADERS IT WILL START READING THE PLACED FILE AND FLASHING SHOULD START SOON.
- AGAIN FLASHING WILL FAIL IF THE MENTIONED CONDITIONS ARE NOT MET IF ANY ERROR OCCURS, THE ERROR TEXT IS TOO SMALL TO READ IT THE FIRST TIME, YOU WILL HAVE TO ATTEMPT MULTIPLE TIMES TO READ IT.

Hello TryllZ, problem is when i copy paste file or try to test file, win rar shows it corrupted and i can only extract 3 files out of it.
Yes i have S-ON
I have custom CM12 mod on it from this website. but i have a problem when battery discharge i can only switch it on through hard reset, and only then it will start to charge, otherwise it show charging logo but nothing happens, i try to reinstall, but no difference, i got m9, so i just want to put stock on one mini 2.
Ok, i checked file with md5, showing ok, what version of win rar or win zip to use?

Firstly that you don't need to extract the contents of the file, just rename the file to 0P8BIMG.zip and place it in the root of the SD card but this method will only work if you have stock recovery, because if I'm correct you won't be able to flash a stock ROM with TWRP, you will need to use a Nandroid restore method via TWRP, you can find steps to flash via TWRP here.
There is CM13 (CM14 is work in progress) available if you wish to try, I use it daily, smooth and works fine.
With S-On you won't be able to flash an older version, that too after flashing stock recovery.

Brick phone
I have S-off, Unlocked bootloader. But it cant run TWRP custom recovery. I can flash it easily but it just not starting and i go back to fastboot. What shall I do?
I am also trying to get back to stock rom but the phone doesn`t read the zip file from my Sd card.
When rebooting it always starts in Ramdump mode.

You need to remove that IMEI unless its fake.
Can I know which device is this, Europe, Asia or American ?
Are you facing any errors when flashing TWRP ?
How are you flashing Stock ROM ?, You can't flash stock ROM with TWRP, you will need to use Nandroid backup with TWRP. For stock ROM you will need to flash stock recovery.
Can you connect to PC in fastboot ?

What I meant was to remove your device IMEI from your original post and replace them with zeros.
What version of TWRP have you flashed ?, flash this version : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934533581 for European device this works fine. the right way to flash TWRP is
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
fastboot erase cache
Nothing happens because you are on S-On and the file you are flashing is most likely a lower version than your currently installed version, so in this case you need to flash the provided TWRP version and then restore this Nandroid
The process to restore form Nandroid can be found here

Thank you. I changed IMEI.
I flashed this recovery now. It flashed fine. But still I can`t launch it. Maybe that`s because I installed different firmware?

If its S-Off then you shouldn't be having any issues flashing any version.
I believe you are SuperCID as well, I'm guessing you have a network-unlocked device ?, you need to know your actual device OS to flash the right one onto it.

Which recovery have you flashed, Stock Recovery or TWRP ?
If you have flashed TWRP and are able to enter TWRP then you can download the Nandroid from here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347818782 and follow the steps below to restore through TWRP.
STEPS TO RESTORE NANDROID BACKUP THROUGH TWRP:
- REBOOT AND ENTER TWRP, PERFORM A BACKUP (THIS WILL CREATE A TWRP BACK UP FOLDER WITH DEVICE SERIAL NUMBER IN THE SD CARD)
- DOWNLOAD AND EXTRACT THE CONTENTS OF NANDROID BACK UP FILE IN A PC
- PLACE THE EXTRACTED FILES IN TO THE TWRP>BACKUP<DEVICE SERIAL NUMBER> FOLDER IN THE SD CARD
- RESTART THE DEVICE AND ENTER TWRP, CHOOSE RESTORE
- LOCATE THE FOLDER COPIED IN THE ROOT OF THE SDCARD
- SWIPE TO RESTORE
- FOR SOME REASON THE NANDROID BACKUP DOES NOT CONTAIN CALCULATOR, FLASH LIGHT WHICH CAN BE DOWNLOADED HERE: http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/htc-corporation/

The proper way to flash TWRP is :
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery_name.img
fastboot erase cache
If it still doesn't work, I would recommend to go about it this way :
1 - Flash boot file
2 - Flash Stock Recovery
3 - Flash stock ROM (since you have S-Off you should be able to flash any stock ROM)
All this has to be done through PC and make sure the device is fully charged before starting and remember to use fastboot erase cache after each flashing.

I flashed boot file and recovery with no problems and used fastboot erase cache everytime. Stock recovery launches. I relocked the phone. I have 100% percent battery. But i can not instal the stock Rom file. I use my SD card. I connect it to computer, copy file 0P8BIMG.zip but my recovery doesn`t see any SD card and Hboot doesn`t update itself.
Maybe it is because I installed other firmware file?
What file system should Sd card have? (fat or ntfs?)
Can you plz tell me how i can install this rom?)

The SD card should be formatted as either Fat, Fat32 or exFAT.
The firmware file should be placed in the root of the SD Card, the flashing should start automatically once you enter bootloader.
You need to keep your eye on any error that shows up, it will be too small to read a text, so you might have to try more than once to flash it to read the error.
What other firmware have you installed ?

I'm unable to find the problem with your device, your device is S-Off and yet you are not able to install any stock ROM on it, you are not able to run TWRP either.
There could be a error in the emmc partition (IO error) as far as my understanding goes which is not uncommon, an IO error is a hardware error and is not repairable, meaning you will have to replace the NAND memory which is not possible for this device as its not available as a replaceable part which means the board needs be replaced.
Another possibility is that some flashing has gone corrupt and but I am not able to trace it, all possibilities have been tried.
You might want to try a lower version of TWRP as your original device might or might not be European.
And by red text you mean you have flashed the HBoot that removes the red text ?
Which red text are you referring to, the one that says This environment is for development purposes or the red text in the HBoot itself ?

Stock Recovery for 1.44 HBOOT: http://goo.gl/Yzkwtl
1.44 HBOOT (S-Off required): http://d-h.st/qfc
Assumptions:
1. You have S-Off
2. You have 1.44 HBOOT
3. You know how to use fastboot/adb commands.
Steps to revert to 4.1.2 HTC One:
1. Install earliest possible RUU for Dev edition.. 1.29.1540.3 http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu-zip-m7_ul_jb_50_brightstarus_wwe_1-29-1540-3-zip/
Make sure your CID is 11111111 and MID is PN0712000.
1a. If it fails to install, install the 1.44 HBOOT from above: fastboot flash zip hboot.zip and then re-flash the DEV zip file as fastboot flash zip devruu.zip
2. Install recovery. CWM for Bell & Rogers, TWRP for Telus. Do a backup from custom recovery (mostly to generate a backup path to use in step 4)
3. Reboot back into OS
4. Unzip the nandroid backup folder and copy it to your \\SDCARD\TWRP\BACKUPS\######\somefolder\ or \\data\media\clockworkmod\ .... (I am hazy on the path detail for CWM) You may need to use ES File Explorer to move the folder around if cwm is using 0\clockworkmod folder.
5. Reboot into recovery, select restore, and restore the nandroid file.
6. You should be booting into the earliest HTC OS for Rogers, Bell, Telus. (Your fastboot getvar all will still say 1.29.1540.3, this will change after an OTA)
7. Change your CID to Rogers001, BM___001, or TELUS001 accordingly in fastboot.
8. If you are rooted, either unroot supersu, or flash this file unroot-flashable.zip from recovery: http://goo.gl/JBmJVQ
9. Install stock recovery from fastboot http://goo.gl/Yzkwtl. Do a factory reset to verify that recovery has installed. You should NOT see CWM or TWRP during reset process.
10. Reboot back into OS and check for OTA, your OTA should come through and install itself, your fastboot getvar all should now result in the correct 1.29.x.17 main version.
11. At this time, you are stock, with S-Off and unlocked bootloader. If you want to continue further to lock bootloader and S-ON, start from step 9 in post 1.

Miscellaneous tips and tricks:
If you can NOT mount /sdcard in recovery
Download your Non-Canadian recoveries from: http://d-h.st/users/guich/?fld_id=29380#files or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2545227
Download Canadian 1.55 HBOOT recovery: http://goo.gl/2Kntxz
Make sure you're in the bootloader go into fastboot and make sure the downloaded image is in the same folder as your fastboot.
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Go into bootloader and then choose Factory Reset - let that finish running <<< Important!
Phone will go out and start bootlooping. Now power off and go back to bootloader mode:
Go into fastboot
fastboot flash recovery <custom recovery>.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Now you can go into custom recovery and you should be good to go now.

HELP! Blue screen, can't get past bootloader
I tried installing an OTA update that came through and now I am stuck on a blue screen. I can get to bootloader and fastboot but nothing I do can get past that. I want to return to stock or even just flash another ROM but I can't as my computer won't recognize the phone either. My HTC One is unlocked, S-On, TWRP recovery and HBOOT 1.44 . I've tried doing a fastboot getvar all but as I said, the computer won't recognize the phone so command prompt just sits there.
Move to a windows 7 machine and retry. Can't help if fastboot/adb doesn't work

This guide is for Canadian HTC One Bell Rogers Telus users who need to go back to stock firmware for warranty after flashing custom recovery/rom. If you have installed Open EU, Google, Dev, ATT, or any other kind of RUU, see post #2.
Requirements:
1. Your HBOOT is 1.55.
2. You received OTA to JB 4.3 from Rogers Bell Telus
3. Your main version is 3.x.661.x, 3.x.666.x, 3.x.631.x,
4. Some working knowledge of ADB/Fastboot.
Steps to restore stock:
1. Download your respective nandroid backup from below:
Rogers Nandroid: Stock_JB_4.3_ROGER001_TWRP_3.22.631.1.zip - http://goo.gl/7702AM
Bell Nandroid: Stock_JB_4.3_BM___001_TWRP_3.23.666.1.zip - http://goo.gl/hw7Bj7
Telus Nandroid: Missing..
2. Download latest TWRP from: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7
3. Reboot your device in fastboot and flash TWRP recovery. I used 2.6.3.0.
4. Reboot into recovery and do a backup of what you have working now (very important)
5. Boot back into OS
6. Unzip the nandroid backup folder and copy it to your \\SDCARD\TWRP\BACKUPS\######\somefolder\
7. Reboot back into TWRP, and restore the nandroid file
8. Reboot, your phone should be booting into your carrier firmware
9. Root
10. S-Off: Rumrunner thread, link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2488772
11. Remove *Tempered* from boot thread, link: http://www.htc1guru.com/guides/guru-bootloader-reset/ OR http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477792
12. Verify all is WORKING OK, then flash stock recovery, Link: http://goo.gl/2Kntxz
13. S-On if you must, highly NOT suggested. command: fastboot oem writesecureflag 3
14. All should be good now.

[Q] please help me restore my One

Good day all
I have been running CM 10.2 on my One for some months. Recently its started playing up so ive decided to go back to stock.
Ive googled the process. Fastboot works OK and see's my One connected OK.
Im having issues figuring out what RUU I should be downloading. Initially I went for RUU_M7_U_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.29.401.2
After a number of minutes it failed and said something like it cannot use this on my phone. My phone is a UK purchased unlocked device. Can anyone point me at the correct RUUI should download?
Looking at the fastboot screen I can see that my OS is 2.24.401.8
hboot is 1.54.0000
Please, any pointers to get a stock OS installed and my device booting again.

You can flash this (compatible with your firmware, CID & MID): http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/guru_reset_m7_2-24-401-8-zip/
if you want to receive OTAs, you'll need to select "stock recovery" (which will overwrite custom recovery).

If you have unlocked bootloaders then download twrp or cwm and rename to recovery put the file in the fastboot folder.
Then type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
this will flash the custom recovery.

Do one thing install a custom rom like ARHD etc. and then S-off your phone using rumrunner.
This is going to be one of those jobs that just fails and all I end up with is a bricked phone.
I am a mac user and was using a windows XP VM to communicate with me phone using fast boot... When I try to push a recovery image XP fails badly and reboots...
I can't boot camp my mac because I'm running without a CD drive and boot camp needs a CD drive before installation.
Any tips on how to get my phone sorted using a mac?

1- just use mac versions of fastboot & adb, i believe you can find them here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2365506
(or google for them)
2- do you care about having your phone "out-of-the-box"? that entails much more work. Can you live with an UNLOCKED or RELOCKED bootloader, and possibly the TAMPERED sign?
3- if you don't care about ^^ (2), then just use the Guru Reset ROM, i linked before.
get adb and fastboot working on mac, then in bootloader/FASTBOOT USB:
fastboot flash recovery <name of recovery>.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
-> enter recovery
adb push <name of guru>.zip /data/media/0/
then in recovery choose "install" and select the Guru Reset ROM.
Ok so i reloaded the recovery image. Rebooted and hey presto Cyanogenmod 10.2 loaded again. Phone is now working BUT I would still like to go back to stock.
With that in mind I followed your instructions above and tried to load the Guru zip on to the SDCARD. The ADB process finishes and it says its copied the file over but I can never seem to find it whe i load the recovery and try to install from a zip file.
Questions. Am I right in thinking I can continue to load the Guru zip to attempt to get back to stock?
What am i doing wrong?

if your phone is booting up again
just copy the guru.zip to the phone storage from your mac
no need to "push" if your phone is booting up
To confirm, I am now copying the zip over.
Is there a chance of me bricking the phone again or will the Guru zip return the phone to stock and allow OTA updates?

yeah the Guru reset was designed to put the phone back to stock
it uses an Aroma installer .. choose Stock Recovery to be able to receive OTA in the future. but you won't be able to flash any custom roms or Root with the stock recovery
that seemed to do the trick. phone is back stock.
after initial setup t imediately downloaded and installed a small update. rebooted and then asked to download another 4.3 675mb big update. that one seemed to reset the devce to new again. after setup the 2nd time i can see it didnt work as the phone was as if i had just completed the guru install...
thoughts?

0 MB internal storage

Howdy fellas. So im pretty hooped here. First of all let it be said i am a total noob and this has solidified my standing as a noob. Bought a used M7 (Rogers), came rooted BL unlocked, s-on, running cm 11. I wanted to install ARHD 83.1 Thought hey why not start from scratch, unroot flash stock RUU etc. So i made a backup of the Cm11 rom just incase in twrp 2.8.3.0. Relocked BL, then google Rogers M7 RUU , downloaded a 4.4, sense 5.5 one and ran it. Got an error message about 3 min in from windows explorer saying htc.fastboot.exe has stopped, everything closed and my phone just rebooted back to fastboot. SO i thought i better restore my backup. Went to unlock bootloader, hit yes and my phone was booting into cm 11... stuck at boot logo for an hour till it got quite warm. So i hard reset it, went into recovery to restore backup and voila, I have 0 MB internal storage with no files at all. Can someone please help? Ill even donate if you can help me get my phone back
Many thanks

looks like your data partition is corrupted. This should be easy to fix but first post the output of "fastboot getvar all" except your IMEI and SERIALNO.
BTW do you prefer to go back to stock rom or CM?

Sorry for late reply, we have some serious power outages here in Quebec (damn freezing rain!)
Download TWRP 2.6.3.3 and save it to your adb/fastboot folder on your computer
With your phone connected to your computer and booted in bootlloader/fastboot usb mode, open a command prompt from your adb/fastboot folder:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.3-m7.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Boot in recovery mode (TWRP), select Wipe, Advanced Wipe, then select everything and "Swipe to wipe". When completed, go back in the main menu, select Wipe then "Format Data". When format data is completed reboot the recovery.
When rebooted in recovery, select "backup" then select "boot" only and swipe to backup, go back in the main menu
Download this nandroid backup and save it to your desktop.
Extract the backup zip files, put all the files in a folder and name that folder "MYBACKUP"
move that folder in the same folder where you have adb and fastboot on your computer
with your phone still in twrp main menu, adb push the backup to your phone:
Code:
adb push MYBACKUP /sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS/[COLOR="Red"]Your_Serial_Number[/COLOR]/MYBACKUP
(replace text in red by your phone's serial number. You can find your serial number in your "fastboot getvar all")
This will take a while and your command prompt will be unresponsive during the transfer. When the command prompt is responsive again, then the transfer is complete.
In twrp select "restore", select "MYBACKUP", select all partitions then "swipe to restore"
reboot phone and confirm everything is working fine

One last question, Im wondering if the radio/firmware that nandroid is running is new enough that i can install a rom like ARHD 84 or insert coin etc? Or Do i need to update it somehow?

I think it should be good with those roms but it wouldn't hurt to update it. 3.22.631.1 is a pretty old firmware.
And if so how would i go about doing that?

Well the easiest way would be to flash the stock recovery back and take all ota updates to latest version. Otherwise you could use the 4.19.631.9 and then take the remaining ota updates.
your step by step was amazing by the way

Download your stock recovery and save it to your adb/fastboot folder on your computer.
reboot your phone in bootloader/fastboot usb mode
Start a command prompt from ADB/Fastboot folder
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery_stock_155hboot_htc_one_m7.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot
Wait for the phone to reboot in the OS
go in Settings --> About --> Software updates Check for new updates and install them
repeat steps 4 and 5 until your phone is running the latest version with Android 4.4.3 and HTC Sense 6
Then your phone will be updated to latest software and firmware (6.XX.631.X)

Hope you got my donation! Thanks again for the help. I do have one additional questions however. So i did what you said flashed that stock recovery, then update as far as my OTAS would go. then re flashed TWRP so i could flash ARHD. But im wanting to re flash stock recovery now! So i see my Hboot has changed to 1.57. Could you link me to the new proper stock recovery for my updated device?

Don't reflash the stock recovery if you are using a custom rom like arhd, keep twrp recovery.
Stock recovery is not useful at all when using custom roms, only needed for stock roms.
And I need to know your main version to direct you to the correct stock recovery version
Code:
fastboot getvar version-main

HTC One M7 Stuck in a Boot Loop

Alright, I recently purchased a phone that was stuck at the screen with the download icon in the arrow circle (http://forum.xda-developers.com/album.php?albumid=11886). When it is like this is can not be put into hboot. I then somehow got the phone into a boot loop. I did wipe the cache and that did not fix the problem. I did a factory reset via hboot, and it sent me back to the screen I mentioned before (http://forum.xda-developers.com/album.php?albumid=11886). I've now gotten the phone back into boot looping so I can access hboot. Recovery does work and you can access all the options. This phone is basically a stock HTC One M7. Has not been rooted, is locked, and it S-ON. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you!

I bought it for a friend. He wanted something other than his locked up att samsung s4 active. He doesn't have much money and he figured he could fix this one and if he could't, he would just sell it again. I am personally used to iPhones (typing this on a jailbroken 4s right now) so this is all pretty new to me. We started troublesing it yesterday and he seemed to get stumped. He hates forums so I went ahead and signed up and made this post for him. Currently I have no access to a computer right now (at least one where I can install sdk and so on), but will have access later today. Will post when I have it.

Latest HTC driver here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/8pawcxm9walwras/HTC_Driver_4.14.0.001.exe
You can install minimal adb and fastboot instead of the complete sdk, will be easier to use for you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
Once you have both installed, connect the phone to your computer, make sure its booted in bootloader mode --> fastboot mode and showing "fastboot usb" in red.
On your computer: Start menu --> Programs --> Minimal adb and fasboot --> minimal adb and fastboot
in the command prompt, type:
Code:
fastboot getvar all
copy and paste the output here (except the imei and s/n)

Ok well there is no RUU you can use with s-on so while the bootloader is locked all you can do is try to flash the current firmware. If the phone doesn't boot after that you will need to unlock the bootloader.
Download the firmware here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358543602 put the zip in your fastboot folder on your pc and rename it "firmware.zip" Now with fastboot usb connected in the bootloader flash the firmware with the following fastboot commands
Code:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot oem rebootRUU
case sensitive
Your phone will reboot to a black screen with silver HTC logo. This is ruu mode we can now flash the firmware.
Code:
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
The first flash is just a pre-update. The screen will go off and then return to ruu mode. Flash the zip again immediately.
Code:
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
The second flash will flash the firmware, the progress bar on the screen will not reach 100% this is normal as long as the command line has finished it's output it's done.
Code:
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Now try to reboot the phone. If it doesn't boot you should now at least be able to do a factory reset. But you will need to unlock the bootloader at www.htcdev.com register an account and follow the instructions in the Unlock My Bootloader section. :good:

Now the bootloader is unlocked you will need to flash a custom recovery and install a new Rom.
Download this http://techerrata.com/file/twrp2/m7/openrecovery-twrp-2.8.5.0-m7.img *<<<<< Put this in your fastboot folder and rename it recovery.img
Download this https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358545274
Boot the device to the bootloader and connect fastboot usb. Flash the recovery with fastboot
Code:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
When back in the bootloader select Recovery from the menu to load TWRP recovery. Before we do anything else a little spring cleaning. Select "Wipe" from the TWRP menu the "Format Data" You will be prompted to type yes to continue. When its done Select "Reboot" then "Reboot Recovery" You will see a message "No OS Installed" Reboot anyway and say No when asked to install supersu.
Now back in TWRP recovery you should be able to see the Internal Storage on your PC. Copy the rom file to the Internal Storage then from the TWRP menu select install and choose the rom .zip :good:
During the install with Aroma choose these options
Stock Radio = Yes
Stock Recovery = Yes
Root = No
When the install is completed reboot the device and hopefully it should boot up normally without any problems :good: :fingers-crossed:
P.S The first boot after a new flash can take an extended amount of time. Don't be supprised if it's stuck on the HTC logo screen for 15 minutes+ Just be patient

For s-off he will have to use Sunshine App it's the only working method for hboot 1.57. It does cost $25 but It's very easy. Just install and run the app :good:
Rooting can be done a number of ways the 2 easiest are to allow TWRP to install SupeSu when leaving recovery. Or you can install root with the Guru reset rom by selecting root during the installer. Also if he want's to keep the TWRP recovery don't take the stock recovery during the rom install.

Unable to mount /cache and /system happens during format or after? Did you reboot recovery after the format?
When you exit recovery TWRP will detect wheather or not the device is rooted. If it's not rooted TWRP will ask if you want to install supersu to root the phone. Say yes and TWRP will install root.
Although you could just install root when you install the rom. Just install with these options instead
Stock = Recovery No
Stock = Radio Yes
Root = Yes

When you format data it is like repartitioning the phone. All the partitions are gone until you reboot. That's the reason they won't mount

HTC One Mini 2 constantly rebooting on red triangle?

hi, this phone was rooted and still says unlocked, I have done everything from factory reset, clearing cache, wiping, recovery. nothing works it just simply restarts on to the red triangle.. please can you help me get this phone back up and running I don't know what else to do
A red triangle means no OS loaded in device, make sure you have 100% battery before doing anything, if unsure how much battery exists, leave device on charge for 2 hours.
If it keeps on rebooting it is also possible to be stuck in a bootloop, this wjll need reflashing boot but this cannot be determined until an OS if flashed.
As its unlocked you can flash Stock Nandroid or CM13 or CM14 (LOS)
To find a proper stock Nandrood you need to post getvarall info here without the IMEI
ive never flashed a android device before how do i do that?
i have SDK as i have the full android studios software.
i downloaded adb as well.
but that is as far as ive got

Turn off device, keep vol down key pressed and prews power key, you will enter bootloader, then select fastboot via vol keys and press power key to enter fastboot.
Now connect device to PC and follow this to getvarall.

Paste your result here WITHOUT IMEI.
What recovery do you have stock or TWRP ?
no recovery option it just reboots non stop, but before it did any of this it was twrp

That means its a bootloop, I will still need device getvarall info to provide the appropriate file, however considering your scenario, can i know where did you buy the device from and is it network locked ?
This is an international device boot file, you can try and flash this file and let me know, chances are with TWRP boot flash will fail as the boot file is atock and to flash it all device must be stock, but you have to try to know for sure.
REMEMBER AGAIN IF THE DEVICE IS LOW ON CHARGE IT COULD DIE MIDWAY, IF IT DIES MIDWAY THE DEVICE WILL BE IN A PERMANENT BRICKED STATE.

Now I see that you have an Orange device, no nandroid stock is available, you can choose to install CM13 or CM14 links given earlier. CM13 is old and has many bugs fixed, CM14 is new, while I dont have any issues with CM14, there are some reported issues in its thread, make sure to choose which you like after reading through the threads.
What you will need to do is download the rom and place it in SDcard, then enter recovery and choose install and wait till it finishes, reboot and you are good to go, after install make sure to clear cache and dalvik, if install fails then you will need to upgrade twrp to latest version for one mini 2, ver 3.0.2.
Also note that first boot takes quite some time, around 5 mins or so.
YOUR IMEI AND SERIAL IS VISIBLE IN YOUR REPLY, REMOVE IT.
If ou want to go full stock, you can flash this Orange UK ROM or Orange FRANCE rom.
I dont know which country your device from is so I have provided both but I believe your is a UK device thus first try that, cidnum ending 001 are mostly UK.
To flash stock you will have to flash stock recovery snd then install using method explained here
Let me know how it went.
Thats about it.
i have tried the cm13 but i get an error when trying to flash it, im doing the adb sideload way. so imm going to try cm14 los one
alli get is error executing updater binary in zip
cant seem to find the lkatest ersion for twrp/img their just all apps or apk
i tried the stock way, but as soon as i flashed the original rom recovery it said the file size was to big so im really stuck nnow
ok somehow i used a rom utility which failed but it somehow reset the phone back to the cracked version...how do i now get it to the stock version?

Latest TWRP version for CM14 https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...recovery-twrp-3-0-2-0-unofficial-htc-t3555343
Stock Recovery, you can try but again this is for International Devices : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24651430732234876
Method to flash :
PROCESS
Enter bootloader and then enter fastboot, connect phone to PC and type the command in adb ( place recovery file in adb folder) :
Code:
fastboot flash recovery <file-name>.img
fastboot erase cache
To flash stock rom you will need stock recovery and relock bootloader, the stock recovery which is unfortunately unavailable, I believe nobody has posted stock recovery for Orange so you will have to follow method links provided for CM14 through TWRP.
So now you flash twrp, place cm14 rom in sdcard, enter recovery from bootloader, choose install, locate cm14 downloaded file and swipe to flash.

Can you explain what do you mean cracked version ?
Leave the device on charge for 2 hours and I mean electrical charge and NOT USB to PC charge.
I already provided you everything, are you following instructions as supplied ?
Have you updated TWRP to version 3.0.2 ?
On which file flash are you receiving updater binary error, CM13 or CM14 ?
Have tried to flash stock recovery provided ?
You are not providing enough information for me to understand.

ok at the moment my phone is running a rooted version, however, im not too sure which one, it may have cm13.
the phone has twrp - not 3.0.2
I tried earlier to get everything back to stock as I have the stock file for the device and i have a boot file too.
but when I tried flashing the original file it just said the file size was too large.
so I was wondering since i have the original stock file on my pc is there any way to revert the htc mini 2 back to original OEM through twrp or some other way like adb sideload?
