Hello all,
Several months ago, I unlocked my phone via Sunshine and successfully flashed the Resurrection Remix ROM. I've recently noticed that GPS tracking does not function correctly, and I believe this issue is related to the ROM. I've tried custom gps.conf files, as well as apps that clear the aGPS cache, to no avail. These apps did not show any connected satellites, either. The GPS tracking is not precise, nor consistent, leading me to believe it's only pulling data from Wifi and mobile networks. My suspicions are further supported in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-turbo/help/gps-cm-rr-t3265348. It appears that CyanogenMod based ROMs suffer from this issue on the Turbo.
So, I suppose my question is twofold. Does anyone know of a working fix for this issue on Resurrection? If not, I will have to return to a stock or similar ROM. I'm thinking Computerfreek's ROM should do the trick. Under that scenario - are there any particular steps I need to be aware of, e.g., any "gotchas" when moving from a CM based ROM back to a stock-ish one? Or is it as simple as downloading the radio files and the ROM's .zip for Computerfreek, and flashing them with TWRP, in that order?
I apologize if I've broken any forum rules, this is my first time posting here. I tried to do my due diligence searching the forums, and I think I know the answer to my problem, I just would like confirmation as I'm still not very adept with custom ROMs and such.
Thank you for your time and input. I appreciate any suggestions, advice, opinions, or solutions. Whatever you have to say I'm grateful!

You can easily check if GPS is being used. I believe you are wrong that your GPS is not being used, but there's very simple way to check.
Download this app, install it. Go stand OUTSIDE in your front yard.
This is my phone, INSIDE. 17 satellites in view, 9 in use. 13 feet accuracy. Outside, I get ever better accuracy. If you get even ONE satellite, it's using GPS.

After standing in clear view of the sky for over 5 minutes, I still showed 0 satellites with the app you suggested. This is congruent with the information shown by the other apps as well, as noted in the original post. So no, it's not using GPS.
I attempted to include a screenshot of this, but as a new user of the forum, I can't include links until I've made ten posts. So you'll have to take my word for it.

Going back and for changing the ROM may cause GPS problem, and user can't get a GPS lock.
To solve is necessary to erase the radio stats, that can be achieved via this zip "Clean_modem_status.zip" flash it via TWRP no wipe is need.
If this doesn't help going back to stock ROM and getting a GPS lock then going back to custom may solve this... But for that is need to have a backup of stock, and make a backup of custom to go back and for...
Is possible to use a TWRP backup of stock from @ChazzMatt thread, Moto Maxx - Moto Turbo XT1225 factory images (Mexico | Puerto Rico | India | Brazil)..
Thanks to @ChazzMatt for this GPS workaround...

That quote is mostly for the Clean Modem file download, which works for all Quarks with TWRP custom recovery installed.
The TWRP backups @baybutcher27 mentioned would only be for XT1225 users, not Droid Turbo users.

For
Motorola Atrix
What is King Kang?!?
King Kang is essentially a hybrid ROM - its a mixture of AOKP, CyanogenMod, and ParanoidAndroid, bringing all their customizations to one rock solid and quick ROM. These numerous features combine to create a blend of features not seen anywhere else before. Make the user interface yours with this ROM. Change the DPI the ROM runs at, tweak the interface to your hearts content, while enjoying great battery life and stability. Never before have these features combined to create a ROM as feature-packed as King Kang. Credits for the features goes directly to the teams responsible - AOKP and CM for their respective work, and ParanoidAndroid for their wonderful DPI on-the-fly modifications. Without these teams, this ROM would not be possible.

Sent from my LG Optimus G
WiFi not turning on at all for me no matter what configuration chosen during installation and with all possible wipe combinations Pressing WiFi does nothing.
Newest AOKP does not have this issue, running it now.
I installed it over latest cm10 from the bill. Just wiped cache and dalvik. The Rom is running fast and smooth without any issues, every thing is ok including WiFi.
Sent from my MB855 using xda app-developers app
Must be me then....
I think he is saying try AOKP then flash this rom. It's worth a try.
Sent using my Jelly fingers.
I never use WiFi much so I didn't notice. Its borked as stated above.
Other than that nice ROM.
I can confirm, also, that WiFi does not turn on with this ROM. Th3Bill did post in the Liquid Smooth thread that he would be posting a fix for this very soon.
Thanks Th3Bill!!
Thanks for the ROM, nothing to report other than a thanks.

I don't think it will cause any damage since it's so dimmly lit. It may lead to the LED eventually dying/shortening it's life span, but that's probably it.
I'm more worried about how much battery drain it may possibly cause.

The file doesn't mess with anything data related. I was having occasional issues with data, and others reported issues with data too; that was before adding busybox and init.d support.
I believe it has more to do with the modem that is being used. I think these data issues won't really be fixed until wet get the kdz, and are able to extract the correct modem from there.

Thanks for the explanation. I restored my backup from before I flashed the zip and my data has been great. I guess it is coincidence.
FYI I installed busybox through the app and installed xposed for lollipop and it works well. Using gravitybox for Navbar and statusbar tweaks.

I believe I found where he got the info. on how to mod the modem. I was going to try it myself, as I had already compiled the boot image from the 39A source, but then I saw you posted the working 39A zip, so I just stopped.
It involves mounting the modem.img in ubuntu/linux, and extaracting 20 files named modem.*** and replacing them with the ones from, I guess in this case the ones from 12A. That's why it works ok, but we have no info. on the baseband version in the settings.
Still, that kdz should solve the minor issues we are experiencing now.

You are the man. Thanks for providing us the means of running this. I for one could care less about what the little baseband box says. One question though. What's the T-CDMA 24 carrier thing about. I mean I've only had a couple connectivity issues but why doesn't it report I'm using Verizon. Also when I had poor signal, instead of showing 3g it showed 1x
Great work! Rom running great however I still have the same lock screen issue I've had in every lollipop Rom. Go into a completely dark room and try to turn the lock screen on...it won't work. You can also replicate the issue by covering up your sensors on your phone...the screen will not stay lit up. Any help or direction will be great help.

Unfortunately it's not so simple. So no new builds for t810/t815 at least in near future (several months). I focus on t710/t715 only.
as usual gr8 job ma8 considering. We got los15.1 stable finally seeing this beta makes me really happy so, keep up the good work...
This project is suspended. Maybe temporarily, maybe not. I tried to estimate how much time I need to get it stable and to be honest I don't want to have deal with it. As I know few developers are already working on lineage16 since november. Maybe they will upload anything to public. What about me, I don't want to spend months and some day one dev just kang my work again. Thanks for understanding.

Its very sad for everyone that you abandoned the rom, but I understand what not having the time and the energy means. Thank you very much for the build. In any case I installed as I said before.
I haven't tested it much but for the time being its running pretty smooth. I installed some apps and no crashes so far. Just an error message at boot saying something happened, after closing it everything OK.
I add some screenshots here.
Ill keep posting issues if I find any. Do you think I could compile your sources in my computer?

T815 plzz. I have no knowledge about porting roms, but if by any way I can help u in porting this to T815 plzz let me know...
sweet, i saw your trebel twrp in the other forum, freaking fntastic
#1. Loaded trwp and ROM only no root
Excellent power 97 percent remain after 13 hours
No 5gz WiFi. But because I had nothing else loaded I couldn't see the nvram_net.txt settings.
So I tried to load pico and lineageos add-on su, and had several boot up and setup issues with the play services kept crashing. After bypassing lots of stuff, gave up and reloaded, I was able to see the root permissions in the developer settings, but lineageOS extras shows only arm 15.1 no 16 for root. Thought that was an issue. Silly me I didn't do a logcat. Before I did #2
#2nd try wipe , load, pico and magisk 17 . no magisk 17 in apps.
Did a bypass load apps to get to desktop. Had a couple " this device has errors, please contact manufacturer "
Play store was able to install apps, but I had no access to my paid apps. See #1 I wanted to fix my 5gz WiFi files. And I use es file explorer pro, but since I didn't have root... Well.
Play store recovered my programs am going to try magisk 18 . BRB
Looks nice, a couple of google play store bugs, an actuall desktop black out.
In conclusion, awesome ! Work !
Will fiddle some more. couldn't get a logcat
Downloaded all my gapps, and I found an unofficial root for lineageos 16 in another forum.
Trying again. Cheers

issue with paid apps i think is more gapps issue rather than device specific because i have the same behavior on another devices and had to flash one image several times before got showing my purchases in play store

Same here.
I got 5gz to work . I changed
Code:
ccode=US
regrev=69
Based on several posts over the years, I researched what regrev is in related to the ccode
It relates to what frequencies and I believe power outputs for different countries legal free and open radio frequencies.
The clues are in the driver for the wireless device source code.
Here is a broadcom driver for the 3.10 kernel
https://android.googlesource.com/ke...drivers/net/wireless/bcmdhd/dhd_custom_gpio.c
In there is a small database that should be consulted when you boot up your device and your country code should be selected when the driver is accessed
This has never worked properly for any lineageos based ROM.
Also most stock ROMs do not have this in their correctly.
All the files in /system/vendor/etc/wifi that have nvram in their name ( total 6 files ) need updated manually with an editor with root access.
As soon as I enter codes and reboot, I see all the 5 gz and many other networks that normally are too far away.
Kind of a chore to do this on every reloaded device, but that's what it takes.
Will this work on the 2015 model? I was able to flash it on my Tab S2 running exynos processor however it won't past the samsung logo.
Tried not flashing the gapps package to make sure that wasn't it... still stuck with recovery only. Any ideas?

Spoiler
Hello, you all may remember me from my ROMs for pixel 5, pixel 4, 8t, 7t, 6t, Shamu, and J7..
I left 8t development a few months ago to have some fun with a pixel 5, and a month ago, dusted the ol' kebab off and jumped back in. I keep most of my ROMs on the silent side of things and don't use xda but for official releases. Hopefully, This unofficial build will become official. I think you all will love it as much as I do. It comes with my own branch of neutrino kernel, as does all my ROMs, it's entirely based on neutrino, but I add klapse, hbm, vibration tuning, etc, and some other kernel options that I don't care to add device tree side. This is a beta build so it has a couple weird small bugs, and no they do not affect anything.
Bugs-
1. At first boot, soon as you see the setup wizard, it will show you a toast, phone is rebooting, it reboots then setup continues not to happen again. This affects nothing. Not sure why, but don't really care either, as it all works ferociously fine after.
2. Occasionally, up at the left most corner, where the status bar clock is, a slice of the hour part of the clock is sliced off, it doesn't exist all the time, just sometimes. It is perfect in quick settings view and typically corrects itself only to randomly get sliced. I probably have a duplicate overlay for the dimensions related to that spacing. Will fix next chance I get.
That's it for any issues.
Features-
All the current bootleggers features for "Rimbon". Perfect fingerprint, face unlock, endless theming options, larger quick setting icons for easier tapping, proton aosp blur, proton aosp optimizations, Verizon support, dual sim support, enable/disable fingerprint vibration, Dolby, raise to wake, app lock, the list goes on. More features will be coming once I add them, prob fod animations and edge notification pulse.
Things I don't care to add-
fod screen off, safety net spoofing, sm8250-DeviceSettings(we really don't need them at all)I added and they're redundant, and call recording, oh yeah gaming is for PCs and consoles I don't add it to phones. If you want these things. Bootleggers is not for you.
All my builds are fastboot update zips and include gapps. I'm a Google guy and need all their stuff and yes I don't care they can have mine too. Haha.
Flashing- no matter what you are on currently, for best performance flash oos stable first, then format data via recovery, reboot bootloader and the command is fastboot update bootleg_kebab_v7.zip *note, you must open terminal in the folder where the zip is to give this command, other wise fastboot update HereIsLocationToTheZip.zip. after it does it's thing and flashes it boots and then at first boot shows the setup wiz and reboots as declared in "bugs" section.. Root if you would like to use kernel features, this requires the same old process we have used for 3 android versions, I hope you know how, lol. If you have troubles, re read this entire post.
Thanks- to my testers, my friends, the entire kangarooster squad, and the couple android geniuses who shared their wisdom teaching me the ropes the last 4 years of source building.
@xstefen @dpryor88 @omariscal1019 @Neo @wrongway213 @semdoc @hondajohn88 @varund7726 @abalam @ZVNexus @return.of.octobot @aer0zer0 and countless others who I will add once I figure out their xda name.

I am having no problems with the ROM, it's fast and smooth. My only issue is after every restart Disable HW overlays in developer options is always switched off.
If you want fingerprint, flash 2.5 vendor
Is there a way to put blur in the notification shade, like evolution X?
Issue found - when opening settings from notification shade it sometimes causes systemui to crash
don't say "everything is fine" then, I'll no longer post roms in XDA.

That's the common thing on Android... Stop posting weird thing that isn't even related to bug... Go to buy iPhone if u want bugless UI

This is one of several reasons why Developers leave any given site. While it is ok to report bugs, please include logs if/when you have issues with any development on XDA.

No, just return the device to the stock operating system, Android 11 stock and then root the device, debloat yourself and enjoy flawlesness. Custom roms/o.s. will never work better then the stock UI for the A70. This is because not all drivers and software are released from samsung, just the basic so you'll actually be downgrading by moving to custom o.s.
Stock is bloated heavily, that we all can agree, but, everything works on stock even while rooted with Magisk including passing safety net. Ive also figured out how to upgrade the stock rom without loosing root, magisk, twrp, and ect. No more having to start over or factory reset when updating the o.s. and the steps are very simple. So with that said, remember, these custom roms/o.s. is a work in progress and not meant to be ran as a daily driver, at least not yet. So if your looking for a smooth, flawless U.I. well, stay on stock.

I did reread your reply 3 times, and I still don't understand why are you criticising him for posting a bug he encountered during his normal phone usage.
His report is missing the vital log, but that's no what you are criticising him for. Of course the ROM won't get any better than stock ROM if the development stopped.
I'm sure you understand what development means, thus, I see no justification to your criticism.

Sorry to bother, but I did exactly this (used MiXplorer) and copied the apns-conf.xml to my /system/etc and then rebooted the phone but nothing has changed and I am still unable to use cellular data. Is there anything you could suggest?
