Touch Diamond 2
After the initial couples of days of excitement I set out to change the theme to O2 Blue. This is when I ealised that I am stuck with the current theme. The tf3D doesn't allow you to configure items or alter the theme. I am now using the SPB Mobile shell which heeps better, more flexible and professional looking. Another disappointing discovery is that the screen doesn't flip orientation automatically despite the fact that HTC has a built in G-sensor. The only programs where the screen flips automatically are (opera browser, photo album). Try using MS Excel in portrait and you see what I mean. Hopefully someone will prove me wrong and tell me how I can get my HTC diamond 2 to flip orientation automatically. One can live in hope!! The underlying message? If you haven't bought it yet, don't rush!!! don't judge it by the contact screen (flipping images). Final verdict? Stay away from it!
Change Screen
use Change Screen
its a free app that unlocks your G-Sensor, the best in my opinion

have fun
I've recently updated to Froyo on my I9000.
T-Mobile finally managed to get the firmware out
I installed it and it ruined my Messaging app, so I factory resetted.
Now, when I open the Messaging app, it works almost perfectly except that the colours are behaving in a bizarre way.
When I receive a new text message and I am in the messaging app (with the screen unlocked when it happens) it will be yellow as it should be.
If I exit the Messaging app and go back in, or click on a message and then return to the conversation screen, all received messages turn a strange green colour and the corners 'break'.
Here's a screenshot to demonstrate the effect: finalboss.org/img/weird-20101209-141115.png (Can't post URLs as a new user )
The green side looks almost as if the contrast has been jacked way up but, when I started editing the screenshots together, I noticed that the image on the right has dithered gradients and the image on the left does not - almost as if some sort of image compression is being applied to the graphics.
The dithering is definitely happening in the messaging app and not being applied when I take/edit the screenshots.
If the images are having some sort of compression applied to them while they are being used in the Messaging app it could account for the yellow turning green (colour palettes and such).
I really have no idea how or why this is happening so I thought I'd post here.
If anyone else has heard of or experienced this I would appreciate the help
Hello Everyone!
I am new to Android, my Galaxy Note is my first Android phone. So maybe my questions will seem stupid :
- Is there a way to quickly change between Silence/vibrate/ringtones ? Like a widget ? It is easy to switch between vibrate to ringtones, but I have to go to settings when I have to get the vibration off.
- Is there a way to be reminded of memos or tasks, like an alarm, but with memos ? An app for that maybe ?
- My screen has sometimes problems with black pixels on dark photos or youtube videos. There are huge packs of black pixel, not showing great hardware problem ? I hope not...
Thank you!

If you slide down the drop down menu you can turn on sounds or no sounds. You can also get widgets on the market that can enable or disable vibrations I believe as well.
Gtasks is an app I use to sync google tasks, there are options to put reminders (alarms). I don't believe memos in theory need reminders or alarms. I believe that to be a task if it's time constricted.
You could upload a picture here, and we can see if we can replicate the issue. I don't have my note yet, it's on its way. But I'm sure someone else wouldn't mind taking a look at it.
Cheers

If it is "sometimes" then usually it is not a dead pixel because they are "everytime"... It could be just contrast issues on the picture.
I was wondering - what would the perfect mash up of ROM features be, if I combined the stock ROMs from the manufacturers of Android devices I have owned?
I liked the Sense launcher and the widgets on HTC Wildfire S, which was my first Android device. Also the alarm clock. It was nice to look at.
The HTC broke up contact numbers in pairs of two, as they should be in Denmark, with 8 digits in phone numbers. The extended reboot menu, with shutdown, reboot and fast boot was a nice feature.
I miss the reboot option natively on the Z.
On i9100 I *hated* TouchWiz and the colors! Also, the lack of notification LED was a huge problem for me.
The lack of to disable the preview of incoming texts, so they would light up screen and scroll through the notification bar, had me starting using Handcent SMS.
Now I use Handcent, because it also can customize notification colors in the status bar, and notification LED color.
They i9100 on 4.0.0 firmware broke up contact numbers in pairs of two, that was good, but it could not disable the preview of incoming texts, that was bad.
Later firmware updates gave the ability to disable text preview, but broke up contacts in sets of 3-3-2, making the number difficult to read.
Call quality was lousy because of the forced noice cancelling and the weak antenna.
All in all the i9100, being a high end device, had some serious flaws when I come to think about it.
I liked the extended sound control panel in the i9100, and I miss it on the Z.
From CM I miss fast toggles to toggle 2/3/4G.
I would love the stock ROM on the Z to have customizable notification LED in the message app, and privacy box like Handcent SMS.
Aqua Mail beats stock mail app by a mile.
Z have a very stable software and a low amount of wake locks. I really like that. However, the screen really drinks all the battery no time - or so it feels like.
Do you have similar thoughts to share?

Hi,
I started to use the X2 Pro heavily, and I'm writing so much with it. I noticed that Gboard is not well detecting my touches in the edges (q and p letters for example). Well, it detects them but there is a latency. When I tap fastly it misses my touches.
And yes I have this too with SwiftKey.
Are you noticing this ?
i had this only using the 60hz mode , if i did use the 90hz mode it dosent happen

Same here, i am referring to latency, after several days of hard usage, i cancel cache and force app to stop, then reopen SwiftKey.
In this way you can resolve
Same issue here, using SwiftKey.
same here
tried more than 5 keyboards but all yhe same problem.
to fix it is to close all apps and run Ram cleaner .. but it's temporary fix .. after 20 or 30 minutes the problem is back.

Any permanent solution? Should we log this as a bug to realme?
Same bug here with Really UI Android 10 but only with 60htz
I have the same problem, running Color OS 6.1 with 90Hz and Gboard lags quite a lot
I keep catching the sides when I use gestures and the q and p don't register and I end dragging to next app
Same here. Realme x2 pro, (but also many xiaomi) have a sensitive delay on borders, wich make a little lag (approx 500 msec) in typing letters like 'p' or 'q' that are on borders. I tested the touch an it works perfect, so i checked time between touch and tap recognition and the delay seems to be a sw thing... to protect probably from unwanted touchs in origin. To explain better touch on all the borders (also above keyboard) is delayed by some feature of the sw. During typing this is awful! My naive guess, i believe the delay is a bug/feature done on the OS itself.
mikifex is somewhat correct. The problem is on the software is due to the gestures being used as opposed to the traditional three button navigation. The system works out a small delay to check if your intent was just a tap on the edge of the screen or if you swiped on the edges to go back. This does not happen when using the three nav buttons.

Haha I noticed this issue and you are 100% correct... If you press the "p" key from the left side of the key so your finger is not touching the screen edge there's zero delay... I also noticed this on my mi9.
My fix was to resize Gboard so that the edges of the keyboard are not at the edges of the screen and also to make the keyboard smaller and move it up closer to midway. It's now a lot more comfortable to type on and no gesture issues
Hi there. With the traditional navigation buttons lag is reduced a bit, but still there to me. The best option I have is to report it as a bug in the realme UI Open Beta web page (not sure I can post the link here),
hope this will make it trough....

Hello. Got an answer to my video on c.realme.com/in/bug-report!!!! Just dig for a bug about borders... There was an answer not so clear that mentioned "realmex2 pro new apdate UI" so i imagine there is some hope!!! I also got a question to prepare a log of the issue and post a link to this thread, therefore: 1. procedure for the log is quite complicated, can you guys go there and help me in reporting? 2. Dear Moderators, can I post a link to this thread in realme-bug-report website? Thank you.
