Your running an old version of Android, you don't need to flash it, you just need the old installer from here: http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.installer
Once you install the apk open Xposed installer and tap on Framework button, it will give you a warning tap ok then tap Install/Update then reboot

Which version and/or files of Xposed are you trying to install, and what process do you use, and what happens during that process?
I am trying to get Verison 2.1 on experimental1? Latest version. So i click the link , then when I go to install it like any third party app, it starts installing but fails. Could you email me? I cant send pictures on this.
2.1 is not the latest version. For KitKat, you need version 2.6 or 2.7 (which are also not the latest versions, but they're the versions that should work with your device.)

2.6.1 nope....Is it something wrong with me phone? Im downloading straight from my phones webpage...
2.7 is what you should be using. 3.0 is for Android 5.x Lollipop and will not work for your device running 4.4 KitKat.
You'll have to ask someone more knowledgeable than I, and you'll probably have to get a logcat for the install attempt as well, search "logcat" here for instructions.
Thanks! What is logcat? e.e do i google logcat or something?

That means to search for it here at xda-developers. There's a search box up in the top corner.

I downloaded logcat. Do you wish for me to post it here or something?
I was trying to install xposed for ARHD but wasn't able to.
I installed the latest Xposed Installer .apk 2.6.1 on my device, hit 'Framework' but I got an error in red text. It states "Xposed not compatible with SDK 21 or processor architecture armeabi-v7a" and "libdvm.so not found".
I looked at rovo's lollipop FAQ thread and my error is there.
Q: Error in Xposed app "xposed not yet compatible with SDK 22 or your processor architecture (armeabi-v7a)" and may also refer to libdvm.so
A: This happens if you are using the legacy KitKat Xposed app. Uninstall it and ensure you are running the latest alpha from the official rovo thread.

Hi everyone!
I'm having some troubles getting Xposed Framework to work on my S4 mini (GT-I9195)
The phone is rooted and i'm using Android 4.4.2 (it's not a custom rom, but Samsung's original)
From Xposed installer, as I go to the Framework section, i get:
With Xposed 3.2: "Xposed is not (yet) compatible with android SDK 19 or your processor architecture (armeabi-v7a)"
With Xposed 3 alpha 4: "The Xposed framework is not installed. Please download the latest ZIP file from XDA and flash it manually via recovery"
Am I doing something wrong or is there something i just don't know?
Sorry and hopefully this thread isn't spam

You're on KitKat, so you just need to use the older apk method, no need for flashing Xposed
Sent from my SCH-R220
Thank u a lot for your answer!
Where i can find more info about the "apk method"? I'm afraid i've never read anything about other methods than putting the apk in the phone and installing it from there.
Sorry but i'm a total noob
EDIT: Apparently i solved by using another version of Xposed from a mediafire link found on a forum. The file name is "Xposed Installer (SDK 19).apk" (Unfortunately i can't post urls yet )
Thank you a lot!
Xposed is not (yet) compatible with Android SDK version 23 or your processor architecture (armeabi-v7a).

You need to update your xposed installer app. Newest is on bottom of first post in the xPosed read-only thread

What do you mean "error 1"? Where did you see that? You didn't try to flash the installer app I hope.
It is an apk that is installed normally like other apps, within the ROM.
You are leaving out important information, such as what you are doing when the errors happen.

Hi,
I want to install Xposed framework 2.6.1 on my rooted Samsung Galaxy S III GT-I9300 but I have an issue with the installer.
When starting the Xposed Installer and accessing to the Framework section, I get the following message displayed in red:
Code:
Xposed is not (yet) compatible with Android SDK version 18 or your processor architecture (armeabi-v7a).
CANNOT LINK EXECUTABLE: cannot locate symbol "_ZN7android14AndroidRuntime5startEPKcS2_" referenced by "/data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/cache/app_process"...
The only occurences of this error message that I've foud on the forum are the two pages on thread "Xposed - Legacy thread. Don't panic, Xposed is still here":
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/framework-xposed-rom-modding-modifying-t1574401/page304 (message #3039 from irvs)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/framework-xposed-rom-modding-modifying-t1574401/page305 (replied message #3041 from mixtapes08).
But clearing Xposed app data as suggested did not work.
I've tried to use Xposed Installer 2.7 experimental1 and I have the very same issue with the very same message.
Has someone else ever had the same issue? What can be done to solve it?

Thanks for your reply.
I've downloaded Material Design Xposed Installer from thread "[UNOFFICIAL] Material Design Xposed Installer [25/1217]".
When installing it, I get a white screen switching to black immediately, then a flash white screen and back to board with the following popup message in a window "Unfortunately, Xposed Installer has stopped." and only a OK button.
So it seems that I cannot use it.
Hi again.
No other suggestion here to sort out this issue?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It works!
Thank you very much.
I was starting to think that my device was too older for anybody to be interested by my issue.
Could you please detail what are the differences of yours .apk versus the current 2.7 experimental1?
Again thanks;
