How to lower minimal volume during calls? - Xiaomi Mi 5 Questions & Answers

Hi Everyone,
Mi5 on China Stable 7.2.13.0
I am struggling to find out how I can lower the minimum sound output even further during phone calls. I am doing conference calls quite often via headphones (w/ piston hybrids) and they are extremely noisy even on the lowest call volume. Not sure whether my ears are still too good - but it is really painful most of the time.
I assume the setting has to be done somewhere within the mixer_paths.xml - but I am not sure which value to adjust. In addition to that I find it quite frustrating that the volume in general can only be adjusted on a not so granular level (see attached image depicting the lowest volume which can be selected)

Who can help me in finding out how to lower the minimal output and potentially enable a more granular scale to chose from?
P.S.: For music and all other sound outputs I'm happy with the current setup.
Thanks in advance
Cheers
Chris

needs surround placement advice (pics)

I am new to most of this, but I recently invested in some entry level hardware and hoping I can get some advice setting it up. I have a 5.1 set and a pair of floor standing speakers. I was wondering I should even use all 7 speakers or just 5 according to the way my room is set up.

My main concern is whether I should use all 4 or just 2 surround speakers. Most 7.1 setup I found suggests that I should have 2 behind and 2 on the side, but my couch(1) is flushed against the back wall and moving the couches closer to the tv isn't an option, I'd like to preserve as much room as possible. Sucks, but the room has to function for many other things not just a home theater.
If I was to keep the couches where they are, should I still put up those middle surround speakers or should I just use 2 surround and keep 2 as back up?
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

[APP] [Boeffla Sound Control Without 45 db limit]

Hi everyone,
I've been tested Boeffla Sound Control but the Headphone Analog gain is limited 45 to 63 db(if you're not over 45 dB analog gain can't go down) . For best quality on Headphones, Casques or Amp, analog dB must be below 45 dB. With my modification this appli work correctly(according to Voodoo Sound hack). No more crackles, better SNR, less background noise.

Question Audio Wizard Settings

What are good audio/video settings for built-in speakers? I've tried playing about with audio wizard but have no clue what I am doing.
Just stuck with default settings for now, but I hope that i can get better audio when watching videos and listening to music by changing the settings.
Does anyone have any idea for any good settings or just what the different frequencies does?

I've found the Music option suits well for most playback situations.
I've also kept bass at 10%
It's a pity none of those profile were clearly named "Off / Disabled / the like".
And as much as I also *feel* the "Music" one is the naturalest one, and hopefully a purely flat one, there's no way to be sure it does not try to color the sound either. Apart from an RMAA test, which I'm lacking will to try.
Maybe I should try the music profile for a while to see if I notice a difference.

Set Sound Output, SailfishOS

Hello everyone, I use sailfishOS on my Xperia 10 ii, and on sailfishoOS the sound is stereo (not on stock) using the call sound skirt, mine is wheezing depending on the audio, I wanted the audio to come out only in the correct speaker , I found an app that changes the sound track and it worked, I checked the option (parking Port, I put a print of the app) only sometimes it goes back to stereo and I have to go back to the app
Is there any way to set this permanent sound skirt?
Through the terminal?
