I did a factory reset of a Galaxy S Plus (GT-I9001, Stock ROM 2.3.6). After that Google Market crashes and I'm not able to update to Google Play (nor anything else): "The application Google Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly."
I've already tried the following:
Deleted data and cache of the Google Market app (Settings > Apps > ...)
Factory reset (again) from recovery menu
Wiped cache partition from recovery menu
Manually installed current Google Play APK (crashes with the same error too)
Any help appreciated!
[Solved] [I9001] Google Market crashes after factory reset
After some more research, I found this solution in the Google Play Help Forum AND IT WORKED! (I'm not allowed to post the link)
1. After factory reset, tap on Market/Play Store app
2. After logging in to account, don't tap on accept when prompted to agree to Google Play terms of service.
3. Return to home screen and wait a while for Market/Play Store to be automatically updated to latest version of Play Store (take abt few seconds to a minute or so)
4. Tap on Play Store and agree to Google Play terms of service

Hello there, XDA Members,
Ever since I've updated my market to play, whenever I'm trying to download anything free (like "temple run"), there's the error- "Error processing purchase".
When I try to buy app, it says:"-app name- couldn't be downloaded due to an error (403)".
I've tried to switch from ICSSGS RC4.2 to Docs Master ICS V6 rom, tries to wipe everything, dalvik cache, regular cache, market cache, market data, my gmail account from the phone, proxy settings in the APN settings, e-v-e-r-y damn thing!
Alas, it just refuses to work.
Thank you all for quick, helpful answers,
harrym17.
Just clear data for Play store and Google services framework then reboot and it will work.
Hi!
I've the same trouble and it's not depending on our devices or the ROMs,it's a issue of Google that will be solved on these days
You can try to download the apps until you can download it.
Hi!
This has a very simple solution. I was facing this issue sometime back. Go to the apps list in your phone and do a clear data on the google play store app. restart your phone and login to google play again. This will not effect your purcahsed apps history as this is linked to your gmail ID

I tried this, didn't work. Any more suggestions?
Ok, then try the recovery mode, wipe cache and dalvik cache. Hopefully this should work.

Hey all,
I started futzing with Play Services and the Store and Search in an attempt to fix the nlpWakelock battery usage issue I'd been having on my Moto X, and I can't seem to get it all working again. I can launch the Play Store, but when I attempt to download an app (or update), it crashes (Unfortunately, Play Store has stopped)
I did some noodling around on various forums here and have tried:
wiping data/cache on Store, Download Manager, and Services
uninstalling Store, uninstalling Play Services, and sideloading them both (Store and Services).
removing and re-adding my google account, even trying to download an app with a different acct crashed it.
converting Play Store to a system app in TiBu, no dice.
Moto X
4.4 Rooted
Play Store v: 4.5.10
Play Services v:4.2.43
edit: Download Manager v: 4.4-5
I was going to uninstall the store and look for the apk for the previous version and attempt to install that to see if it'll work..
any ideas?
worst case scenario I can do a TiBu backup and factory reset, but my question there is... will I need to re-root 4.4? (probably, right?)
thanks all!
josh
Alright so I used TiBU to removed Download Manager and Downloads... and now the Play Store doesn't crash, if I try to Download something it just hangs on "downloading" and never starts... I grabbed two APKs from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/help/request-download-service-apk-to-fix-t2421314
and used root explorer to move them into sys/app and install.. DownloadProvider.apk and DownloadProviderUI.apk ... but I can't seem to get them to install.
any ideas?
thanks!
josh
Thanks for publishing it even it help me to know about download manager..
Device Mi3 with global developer ROM 6.7.5 (MiUI8).
I have flashed flashboot ROM on my device twice recently and since the first attempt Google Play store keeps crashing every time I try to install an app that is larger than 100MB and requires additional file download. Smaller apps install fine. Factory reset via fastboot hasn't helped, neither has reinstalling Google Play Store and Google Play Services.
It is showing error with write permissions to the destination folder. How to fix this?
Hi !
On my nokia 7 plus (android 9 / 00WW_3_39D) I have a problem on google play store.
When I install an application no progress notification of download and installation is displayed ...
But I have the right to install installed ...
I launched "reset pref apps"
Verifications of the authorization of the notifications in the checked, unchecked and recchecked parameters (for google play store, download, service play store)
Restart phone.
With these manipulation: no positive impact.
When I download to a browser without problems, the notification and download icon in progress is displayed.
Here is a screenshot "log of notifications":
download but not visible in the bar ... application has been installed this time visible ....
if you have any ideas to solve this problem I'm interested: D

Deleting the Play Store and service Play store data,
Disabled Play Store,
Clean Cache with Sdmaid,
Restart the smartphone,
Reactivate the Play Store,
Download Notification and installation progress works perfectly!!
Thank you!
Hi,
other solution found on the forum OnePlus:
"
So i cleared the cache and data of Google play Store and boom it worked. Now download progress bar is there.
So the steps that worked for me was:
1) Settings-> app & notification->see all apps->3 dot at top & choose show system-> android setup-> clear cache and data
2) Go back-> scroll down to download manager app-> turn off all the setting and enable it again
RESTART NOW
3) Go to app and notification-> select Google play Store-> clear cache and data
Now start downloading any app.

Hello, I just found out how to add google account if you accidentally delete it, you can also delete the updated google play services to install version 21.24.57. You can also uninstall google services framework and install on old version.
Tried with phone version 12.0.0.276.
Don't delete google play services, framework services before open the Private Space.
1.Go to settings and enable Private Space. Once it's activated and you're already in Private Space, go into settings/apps and you'll see that play services, google services framework and google account manager are there.
2.Uninstall them from there . 3.Download micro g huawei fix eloy gomez tv.apk, install it.
4.Exit private space uninstall Google play services and services framework from settings.
5..Try to install google play services 21.24.57, you will have a notification that a new version is installed and a window will appear with two options, select open. The micro g app will open and a shortcut will be created on the home page. Go to settings and wipe the data and cache of the micro g app. Then open it from the home screen. Sign in to your Google account and you already have a Google account on your phone.
6.Install google account manager to save the account
6.Uninstall micro g and you are done.
You can install any version of google play services and google services framework you want because they are already removed from the phone.
