Best LG G4 Charge Cables - G4 Accessories

I've been using Anker Power line Products for a few weeks now and I have to say they have performed exceptionally well for the price. By far the best I've found.

The original LG cable that came with your phone is far higher quality than any after-market cable.

Yep i tried others and they don't compare

Can someone suggest a good ebay listing to get spare USB cables that support fast charging? I love the OEM cable that came with the phone, but a friend borrowed mine and destroyed it. I also love the cord that came with my Mophie Juice Pack, which is nice and beefy and lets the phone charge super fast (verified in Ampere).
I've purchased a few less expensive USB cables but when I check the charge rate in Ampere the cable is not letting me hit the higher rates that OEM or mophie lets me. One of the cables was sold as OEM Samsung quick charge compatible.
Maybe I'm ignorant, but do we really need to spend $10 for a decent USB cable on eBay?

HERE

I use juicebitz cables. They look great and they are fast. Also cheap

original lg g4 cable
When my lg g4 original cable is new it take generally 2 hour to full my mobile but when I ever charge other mobile with my lg g4 cable it take more than 3 hour or more than 4 hour to charge my lg g4 . from January 2016 to august 2016 my lg g4 cable is replaced more than 3 or 4 time . i have also lg k10 which charger is also take more than 4 hour to charge my mobile

THIS is what I bought and they work well

Like I said I use Anker power cables. They're more durable than the one I got with the phone. They support quick charge and they were reasonably priced. I have had zero problems with it and I've had the one I'm using now for going on 6 months. I had already replaced my original cable 3 times in that same period

I am using original LG cable with Samsung Original Fast Charger. I love the charging and data transfer is also very good

I'm using this exact setup for my s7 and it actually seems to charge faster than the stock s7 cable.

I can confirm the iSound Power Max (18,000 mah) battery does not work.
Zagg Sparq 2.0 (6,000 mah) works if you're not using the optimized port, and the Solio Bolt solar charger (2,200 mah) works as well.

Just be aware that it isn't always the portable charger that doesn't work but it could be the cable. Based on the few threads already discussing which aftermarket chargers and car chargers work, you can see a pretty strange pattern of some cables working with a charging unit while others don't.
Just an example, I was testing my 2A Griffin Car Charger last night and it didn't work with the stock cable (Cable that came with the N7). But once I tried it with the cable that came with my Portable Charger, it worked.
My New Trent IMP1000 works with the cable that came with it (retractable with interchangeable micro/mini tips) but not with other cables. That cable also works with several other chargers where other cables don't.
Zagg Sparq
I use this one: http://www.zagg.com/accessories/zaggsparq.php Right now they are giving free pair of 50 dollar headphones with it that are really nice!
I have a New Trent IMP500 and an Energizer PowertoGo. Both will only work if I use the cables and tips that were supplied with the power source. If the screen is on it says charging but the battery level seems to stay the same; if the the screen is off it charged 3% (from 83% to 86%) in 10 minutes - using the New Trent. I have not tested the Energizer yet.

The ZaggSparq is a piece of crap - it suffers from really bad battery drain. Unless you charge it weekly, it'll almost always be empty by the time you need it. I fell for the first generation, which was even worse. Then when they wouldn't replace it, I made the mistake of getting the new version - which STILL has the draining problem.
Get something better - like an Anker.
I picked up the New Trent 12000mah 2a portable power supply.
http://www.amazon.com/New-Trent-Thunderbolt-Blackberry-IMP120D/dp/B003ZBZ64Q
It comes with 2 cables:
-a standard USB to Micro USB (or whatever they call them that come with 99% of devices including the N7)
-what they call a Galaxy Adapter which is nothing more than a 2-3 inch USB extension that you can plug any USB cable in to including an iPad cable.
When i plugged the stock N7 cable in to the power supply (2a outlet) it didn't show as charging.
When i plugged in the standard USB cable that came with the power supply, again it didn't show as charging.
When i plugged in the stock N7 cable to the "galaxy adapter" and then in to the power supply, it did show as charging. Strange that the adapter made a difference but whatever at least it works.
When i plugged in another cable with multiple tips that came with my other Anker Portable charger, that worked too. No adapter required this time.
I did a test and confirmed that with the combinations that work, it is charging at the same rate as the stock wall charger.
The Anker 8000mAh I have charges the Nexus 7 at 2A. You have to use the Anker cable though.
New trent came in before anyone else, mine has been working for a good 3 years.

I like my Sparq a lot. Had it maybe 4 months. Got it on the recommendation of several friends who have all loved theirs. And frequently they are only 50 bucks.
The only issue I have is as stated in the first post, it doesn't work in the 2.1a port. But I haven't found any of the 2.1a chargers I've tried work.

USB Charging cables for G Flex?

Anyone find any good USB charging cables for their G Flex?
I've ordered and tried like over 15 now and none really work like the OEM USB cable... either they give me a slow charger, they fall out of the phone's USB connector, or they won't charge at all.
I've tried like different ones from Monoprice, Fosmon ones, and 2 different ones form BB.
I know its the cables because when I use my OEM LG cable with an old HTC charger it works just fine.
I ordered this 6ft BB Playbook charger over the weekend: http://www.amazon.com/Blackberry-Folding-Blade-Charger-Playbook/dp/B004OZMWUS/ because I've heard people having good results with it. I'll post a review when I get it. Fingers crossed.

Hi
I can only recommend this special low-resistance charging cable from PortaPow.
portablepowersupplies.co.uk/portapow-fast-charge-micro-usb-cable
Please check out this cable here
I got one of the 2.5 meters version and the charging speed is still awesome with this cable! Its perfect for the bedroom.

You can buy lg oem usb cable on Amazon. Try search for the cable under different lg phone model. I bought a few pairs for $ 3 each. It don't have necessary said for flex since many other lg phone use the same type of cable.

I give the BB Playbook Blade charger a C+ for charing the G Flex but a A+ for charging any other Android device.
It charges the G Flex really super fast... prob the fastest out of all the chargers I've tried from what Battery Monitor Widget tells me BUT like all the other USB cables I've tried the connection isn't secure and iif I move or even just do the knock-knock code the cable slips out of the socket.
I did order 2 more off eBay for charging my other android devices... the 6+ ft cord is really useful. Just wish it would fit the G Flex micro USB socket.

Do U use Mac or PC?
I have the same issue, I got a 750mA charger from a Nokia and it charges faster then my 2.1amp oem Samsung charger. I have had a really hard time finding a good cable that works with this phone. I lost my OEM LG Charger, I think it's time to buy one again.
Try charge only cables. Worked for me..
I use blackberry cables. Very high quality, and have never had issues.
ROGERS • LG G Flex D950G • Stock ROOT 4.4.2 • V4A • 180DPI • FLEXIN'
The samsung chargers work pretty well too. Sometimes i get a slow charge when im plugged into like a power brick, and not plugged directly into the wall outlet.
Know it's weird but next plug into a brick or strip an get the slow charging flip the adapter around in the socket
my problem is similar
Ive tried multiple cables, but in the car, it will always give me a slow charge (around half a amp, when i think it should be 1.8)
so bacsically i can get no rapid charge while in the car
Again, ive tried multiple cables and multiple chargers. even 2 that were supposed to figure out the max input of the flex, and use that to charge it rapidly. but i ALWAYS get slow charge
the only time I dont is when I plug it into a standard wall charger,it will rapid charge then
what car chargers have yall used that will NOT give you the slow charge?
please help. Ive spent $80 in trying

Fast charging cable?

I'm looking for a cable that I can use to take advantage of the full potential of my Anker wall charger. It uses Qualcomm quick charge but the cable it came with charges really slow. The lg stock cable is alright, but even my previous samsung cable is faster. Are there any cables out there that will allow my phone to charge faster? I hear a 28/24 gauge cable is faster, but is that dangerous to use?
Update: I ended up getting the 10ft Anker nylon braided charging cable because I have an Anker wall charger and I want a durable cable. I calculated the voltage drop over the length of the cable and decided it isn't enough to make a big difference so I went for it. Oddly enough I get a slightly higher charge rate than the 1ft cable that came with my wall charger! Thank you for all your input everyone!

I've seen good reviews of the Anker with its included cable.
How slow is it charging? You know that QC 2.0 is not fully implemented on the G4?
Ampere said around 500mah with the anker cable. But with my lg cable I got 1300+. This was all with the screen off, but when it's on for a while it goes down to 250mah. Does it really make that big of a drop? Is the g4 just a slow charging phone in general and there not much I can do to change that? I'm aware quick charge isn't fully implemented but I figured it should at least be reasonably faster than normal charging.

28/24???
If you want a good charging cable take one that is max AWG 20.
The higher the number is, the thinner cable inside is, the more it will "resist" to the current.
AWG20 will offer less resistance than AWG24 and so would charge faster.
Would this be a good cable to buy then? It is specifically for charging and the reviews seem promising.

It should since it is 20 AWG, but it is only for charging, no data on this one.
I personaly did bought an other brand :
http://www.amazon.com/Aukey-3-Pack-...UTF8&qid=1435505986&sr=1-2&keywords=Aukey+usb
It is not clearly stated in its description but it has :
28AWG for data
and
20AWG for charging
So it could charge as fast as the first one you quoted.
Yeah I don't need the data cable which is why I like that one. Does the length of the cable effect the charge speed noticeablely? I'm thinking of getting a long one

Yes.
Google a litle and you will find website that calculate* it for you.
* the loss of voltage, in heat etc... depending on the lenght and section of your cable

Seriously, all the cables that came with the Quick Charger 2.0 are the best and the stock cable too. I have purchased all kind of cables from Amazon including Portapow, which is the same as the QC 2.0 charger cable. The length of the cable also play a part. You really want to test it with a USB Doctor volt tester that support more than 7V. Ampere alone don't tell you the exact figure. I'll not spend any money for a standalone cable that claimed to be the fastest. I returned all those cable i got from Az.

Did your charger died? DONT BUY BELKIN HOME CHARGER

Hi, my original charger just died, so i decided to buy a good charger, and i rembember thinking "Well, belkin is a well known company, it should work". Long story short, i bought it for 30dls, worked but it charged at 300mha. So i wanted to punch everyone at belkin.
Apparently this charger is not compatible with the LG G2 and im ****ed.

Thanks for the heads up. Most aftermarket chargers like Belkin are garbage. You'd think that at $30+ it would be top notch, but they're actually made to be as cheap as possible by mediocre engineers so they end up being exceedingly terrible. Not only do they not measure up to spec but the output voltage is unstable and has a TON of noise. It's obviously always preferable to go with a good oem charger when possible. Unfortunately they're somewhat hard to find separately without actually buying something and if you do find one for sale they're are a lot of fakes out there so it can be risky.
By far best chargers that are easily attainable are the apple usb chargers. After comparing the apple usb chargers(both 5w and 12w) and a bunch of other usb chargers(both oem and aftermarket) I have using an oscilloscope at work, the apple chargers have the cleanest output by a wide margin. Just be sure to buy them from a major retailer. It's not worth risking getting a fake because at that point you might as well use the belkin.
Additionally, the original 2014 moto x charger and kindle 5w and 9w changers are also very good.
While I prefer the 1A/5w chargers to extend the life of the battery, you can also get the 9w-12w ones which will charge faster if that's something you need. Be sure to use a quality cable too.
edit:
This guy did something similar to what I did but actually took the time to document it. It's very informative and shows how much quality can vary between different chargers.

You can probably find the same/similar thing on ebay for under $2. But you have to keep in mind that not all usb chargers are created equal, especially these cheap aftermarket ones. While it may charge your devices, the quality of the power it delvers may or may not be good. Not to mention that it might not be made to even minimal safety standards - for both you and the device. Even though the charger you recommend may very well be fantastic, it is of unknown quality. Given that the vast majority of all aftermarket usb chargers are substandard, it can be reasonably assumed that this one isn't an anomaly.
I recommended the apple charger because it's known to be of very good quality and it's easy to find.
Check out this site:
http://www.righto.com/2014/05/a-look-inside-ipad-chargers-pricey.html
The author compares a genuine ipad charger with a fake one. Assuming that the majority of aftermarket chargers are built to the same standard(or worse) as the fake, it amazes me that anyone would even consider using one let alone pay for it. What is the logic in saving a couple bucks and potentially risking several hundred? I would rather spend $20 once and have piece of mind in knowing that I have the best.
you are right, but i've just gave you a link to the pretty cheap charger that works well with G2 and as i've said - it charges my tablet as well...

Need a charger capable of rapid charging

Just bought a Nexus 5x off Swappa and it didn't come with the original LG charger, just a USB C to A cable. Are there any 3rd party charging blocks and cables that work well and provide rapid charging for the 5x? I've looked at a lot on Amazon and Ebay and there don't seem to be any that work as well.
There's this from SONEic....
Also, can anyone tell me if you'll get faster charging (like Type C to Type C) if you use a USB 3.0 to Type C cable, or does it matter?
Thanks,

Bad cables can burn your phone, charger or worse
@adobeman - appreciate the reply. I have seen that spreadsheet but noticed nothing had a review date for this year, 2016. I had hoped something more current that was a sure winner would have been released by now. Maybe not, maybe it's just the SONEic and Choetec so far. There are a ton of the LG OEM cables/chargers on eBay but they all ship from China so are questionable at best, don't know if they're knockoffs or real. Oh well. The problem with the Google cable on the play store is that it's a single piece, the cable isn't removable.
Guess I'll give one of these other two options a shot and go from there. Thanks again!

I have tested LG OEM cable/charge on Nexus 5X, the charger support Quick Charge, it works well with device but it didn't charge as quickly as stock Nexus charger. I remember that it took me about ~1.8 hours to charge from 20% to 100% with LG OEM charger. LG OEM Charger output is 5V/1.8A, 9V/1.8A while stock one is 5V/3A.
If you want to take full advantage of Nexus 5X fast charge, you should choose charger that can output 5V/3A current. You can get more information in this article.

@SuperBoUDS - thanks. I went with this option this morning: SONEic USB Type C rapid charger & this Anker USB C to USB 3.0 for another cable. They should be here Friday and I'll review and confirm how well they work. CUrrently, I only have a legacy USB 2.0 to Type C cable that came with my used phone. It only charges up to about 1400 mA when the batter is really low.
FYI, since the spreadsheet is outdated as of 2016 the best (albeit disorganized) source for USB-C cables/charger/accessories that are compliant is probably benson leungs amazon profile feed:

if you don't want to go with choetech or tronsmart, you can find oem LG chargers and cables on eBay for $15-$20
I have three choetech USB C wall chargers. I've had inconsistent performance with them -- at times the phone does not register it as a rapid charger, and so far one has stopped working completely. The USB cables are from Anker and I haven't faced any problems with them.
You can't go wrong buying an OEM or Google made charger.

After using the SONEic USB C to C charger I purchased above, I can say that I've rarely, if ever, seen it charge faster than 2.15 mA. That with the battery fairly low so I would think it should be charging faster. It does come up as rapidly charging though. It works well enough, just was hoping for more.

That with the battery fairly low so I would think it should be charging faster. It does come up as rapidly charging though. It works well enough, just was hoping for more.

I can confirm that the Soneic didn't go above 2A using Ampere app . I tried the Choetech and it went upto 2.5 A once.
Both say charging rapidly. I'll be returning the Soneic
I've seen varying performances with all chargers, none of them seem to sustain the charging rate even if the phone is <10%
Not sure if it's the same behavior with the OEM charger
How about this one? Is good enough for 5x ,
