Hi
I have a laptop which supports WiDi , and i have a tv with chromecast , I want to cast my whole laptop to tv because my laptop does not have HDMI port . Anyway to cast my whole laptop screen without using Google Chrome option .
Experimental is too laggy , Any other way ?
Thanks
Kiran
Laggy is really the best it has to offer. There are alternative smart tv dongles and VGA to HDMI adapters too.
Hi,
I know chromecast supports some ethernet to usb devices, meaning you can connect your cc via Ethernet instead of wifi.
I was wondering if anyone has achieved turning a chromecast (rooted probably required) into a wifi receiver and sending wifi data via Ethernet to another device (eg. Tv with an eth port but no wifi).
Hi,
I search a way to cast my screen on TV.
I found that a USB C to HDMI cable won't work on P9 Plus, is it true ?
Also it appears that the P9 Plus isn't miracast certified ?
Does someone know what is the protocol behind MirrorShare ? Do I need to buy an HDMI adapter ?
I know I can use a Chromecast but I would prefer offline (like a cable or wifi direct) solution for travel
I'm having the same issues with P9 Plus. I think there are new USB-C Hubs with HDMI output. Have not used them yet as they seemed to be meant for MacBooks.
1)Samsung has a dock station hdmi and usb to patch mice and keyboard for(ex. N7100).
2)Otherwise OTG cable adapter can fit micro usb to HDMI.
I already try the 2nd and im looking for share my cellfhone screen to TV (its not smart tv or support direct wifi). How i can make it work I have Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 (MIUI 8 Global 7.2.16 based android 6.0 MRA58K).
Thanks.

Miracast for example.
Hi I'm using chromecast 2 and using it to cast and mirror videos and stuff to my tv. The tv had only one hdmi out. So i purchased a belkin hdmi cable of two metres and an hdmi splitter online. Now i can switch between set top box and chromecast easily without having to switch the cables connecting to the hdmi port each time.
Does anyone know if the Mate 20 Lite has usb c to hdmi or Mhl capability ? Or if the how well the screen mirroring works. In my past experience only Samsung and LGs screen mirroring allows you to Sceeen share Netflix or Hulu onto a smart T.V. via the phones 4G Lte. So it would be nice to get that more solid wired connection.
