Today android 5.0 Is roll out to nexus 7 2012 . I wait it today !!
Its only rumoured to be today. Not guaranteed. But I have to admit I'm pretty excited. This is one of the biggest android releases if not the biggest. I'm checking updates every 20 mins [emoji3]

I'm waiting for the factory image so I can start fresh as my n7 has been running like a pig.
I've actually moved away From the Nexus 7 onto the tab s , but still have the device and would like to see the impact that Lollipop has on a device that's Now 2 years old, and hopefully bring life back to the device for use , I understand the update is only rumoured to be out today but hopefully will be released
If Android L is pushed as an update I'll gladly ditch CM11 and return to stock.. Lol

Same, I've been running PA since January, no regrets but 11 months of data are starting to be quite heavy [emoji28]

Let's hope the nand problem is fixed (f2fs makes my n7 freeze) otherwise my n7 is going to fly from my balcony.
I was planning on returning to stock tonight after work. So there is no risk in taking this ota as far as rooting goes, right? A nexus will always be unlockable is my assumption
The problem with OTA is that the update take some random time to come, so if Google publish the images, I will flash manually

This is just the 5.0.2 for the N7 2002.
Lately Google is "not" developing the factory images "asynchronously".
However I prefer these weeklies / monthlies releases instead of one OTA every 4 months.

Nice, just got 5.01 a couple of days ago though. Rushing to fix stuff before the Christmas break I guess.
According to rumors on multiple tech sites Google is working on 5.1 and is to be released in februari 2015.

Same as it has been with 5.0 and 5.0.1. There's nothing in 5.0.2 that improves battery life.

I've put the 5.01 factory image on a clean phone and the gallery bugs still there. Camera is OK for now. I found a gallery that's better than stock and works! Links to the camera Too. Anymore problems and it's back to kitkat. Never once had a problem with it.
Ive seen from the apk mirror latest touchwiz is out version 6.1.8. Samsung doesnt update our launcher. And every time i install the latest apk from akmirror. It says cant insta ll same name detected. Any of u guys using the latest touchwiz? And how did you update?

Anyone in here updated to the Oreo update that leaked, able to connect to their gear devices?
I tried the update. But my gear watch won't connect via the gear app. I'm assuming because it's unfinished software.
Switched back to nougat for the time being.
Having the same problem on my Note 8 on that Oreo leak. Hopefully someone has an answer?

Its a stand alone file called update.zip you put on your SD Card and update to.

The Oreo builds are leaked and require you to be on specific builds of Android. I recommend that you do some research yourself and if you find yourself overwhelmed then you should hold off.

This was a while ago. I sideloaded the gear app and it fixed my connecting issue. But I eventually came back to nougat anyway for various bugs that I didn't want to deal with. I didn't use sammobile for anything. I used the links in another xda post. I believe it was the one about flashing carrier specific firmware. I used Odin to get back. Now everything has been as it was before I tried Oreo. It's been about a month, maybe longer since I've done all of this. I'm waiting g patiently for the official Oreo update. I hope that answers your question. If not, just ask.

In my opinion, nothing is happening all the time. I still have the January update. Retou, Netherland.
Not got that security patch yet. I check for update every couple of weeks. I've received no Oreo or security updates since the announcement over six months ago that my phone would be getting Oreo, so it would have been more honest to have just said "we're not really all that motivated about providing Oreo updates because...what are you going to do about it?".
