I can access fastboot( fastboot oem unlock doesn't work because not allow usb debug"), but I can not execute any command, because bootloader is locked.
I can not unlock the bootloader, because it says "enable USB debugging."
I try Nexus root toolkit but unsuccessful

Can you boot in to recovery? The steps here should let you flash a full image from recovery if you can get to recovery.

USB debugging has NOTHING to do with unlocking the bootloader.

I messed up trying to flash a rom, please help!

I have a motorola atrix HD (MB886), It is rooted. Last night I tried to flash a rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2244963). I forgot to make sure USB Debugging was on, and I failed to read ahead and did not unlock the bootloader. I tried to flash it using methods that had previously worked for me and now the only thing I can do is go through the AP Fastboot menu, the Android System Recovery menu, and the Boot menu. I had backed up my ROM before attempting to flash through safestrap and TWRP, I have the backup file but I cannot access the safestrap menu to restore the ROM I had backed up.
I have tried to unlock the bootloader and it does nothing. I cannot figure out how to get my device to be shown by my computer in ADB mode to remotely enable USB Debugging. My computer recognizes the device in fastboot mode, but I cannot find anything to enable the usb debugging to unlock the bootloader. Is there something I am missing here? I already contacted my Phone company and there is no way to get a replacement. Someone please help me! I'm just lost at this point.....

[Q] Reroot after 4.3.3 ota update?

Hi guys, first of all thanks to be there always, I was on insertcoin 6.0.4, then I just thought to grab ota, so I flash stock backup zip and stock recovery , grab ota installed it, now I can't reroot it, now I am s off with lock bootloader, please help, I tried to push custom recovery in fastboot but nothing happened, it just keep saying waiting for device.
First of all wrong thread, this should be in QnA. Secondly, make sure you connect your phone straight to the USB port on your computer (do not use external USB hub) if your phone is connected to the computer, in fastboot you should see fastboot USB. And make sure your phone is in fastboot mode in the boot loader.

Sorry to post at wrong place, I will try and get back to you, many thanks.
Right now I don't have access to my pc, so I will try it later, but is it possible to reroot, what is probability.
Unlock your bootloader first
There should be a adb command to unlock bootloader since your s off
So you should have debugging enable in developer option, but there is no developer option in my setting menu, though it says it is test device, is it fine if there is no developer option or it is not there natively in 4.3, could that be the reason.
Settings > About > Software information > More > Tap on build number about 10 times.
It should say something like"you are now a developer". Now go back out and developer options should be above the About options. Usb debugging is in there.

New Nexus 6 stuck in a bootloop trying to update to 5.1, please help.

Hey everyone I'm looking here as my last resort before sending my phone back to Motorola.
Bought a Nexus 6 from motorola uk which was delivered yesterday, switched phone on and all the Google apps on the phone updated, then had a notification OTA to download and install android 5.1 which I did, towards the end of the install process I had an error with the green android and a red exclamation mark.
I powered the device off with the power button and it turned back on and ever since it says "Android is starting" "Optimizing app 1 of 125" once it goes through all the apps it gets to the android boot screen then just goes back to the "Android is starting" "Optimizing app 1 of 125" over and over and over. (Infinite bootloop)
Pointers: The phone is not unlocked or rooted as I'm a noob its just fresh out the box, also I never opened/unlocked the developer options.
I have tried various recovery mode fixes, wiping cache and wiping all data and then rebooting the device with no luck.
Is there anyway I can hook my N6 up to my computer and fix this with a tool kit etc? I'm willing to try but I'd need basic instructions and reassurance it wouldn't muck up my warranty if it didn't work as my only other option is to exchange for a new device.
Any help, advice etc would be hugely appreciated. Thanks

Read the guide on how to fastboot flash a factory image. No toolkit necessary.
Would you mind posting a link to a guide? I forgot to add that I don't want my phone to become rooted by trying to fix this issue, I want to keep it stock like it was, also does not have developer options enabled stop me from going further.
Sorry for the questions I'm a noob to this and quite anxious.

I've made the fastboot adb folder on my PC and attached my phone whilst it was in bootloader mode, I types in the command box adb devices and there is no list of attached devices.
I presume this is because I didn't enable developer options or USB debugging?

When in bootloader mode type : fastboot devices
-Edit- just read that your bootloade is still locked so i`am afraid there is nothing you can do to fix the issue as you cannot flash firmware with a locked bootloader. Best is to claim warranty because of a software issue while updating.

Thought this would be the case, I went into adb fastboot and typed in fastboot devices and its showing some letters and numbers next to fastboot on screen if that helps.
In the future I presume I should make sure to enable developer options first so I can get out if this mess?
Also would it be best when I get my new n6 just to sideload the latest update marsmellow by getting the factory image from the Google website? Last question can I skip from 5.0 straight to 6.0 sideloading or do I have tobdo it one at a time?
Thanks for trying to help matey

Next time enable usb debugging and ENABLE OEM UNLOCK, both in developer options. You can flash the latest firmware available directly in fastboot by flashing the individual img files.
Here is a link to setup adb/platform-tools https://www.google.nl/url?sa=t&rct=...orial/&usg=AFQjCNGolazOWoMssTikMpokJ6TtwEND5A.

It says this on my Nexus 6 phone screen.
Unlock bootloader?
If you unlock the bootloader, you will be able to install custom operating system on this phone.
A custom OS is not subject to the same testing as the original OS, and can cause your phone and installed applications to stop working properly.
To prevent unauthorized access to your personal data, unlocking the bootloader will also delete all personal data from your phone (a "factory data reset".)
Press the volume up/down buttons to select yes or no. Then press power button to continue.
Yes (Unlock bootloader, may void warranty)
No. ( Do not unlock bootloader and restart phone)

Yes I did allow the computer to have access to the phone, when i typed the command to reboot to bootloader it did, but then when i type the command to fastboot oem unlock it gets stuck on waiting for any device. I tried doing it again just to check, after i get to bootloader, i typed adb devices it doesn't show any device thats connected

i came across this try it.

Use Linux dude, also try different cables. My stock g4 came with a bad cable that only charged.
I've had exactly the same problem as hammy88. Is what is referred to as "fastboot mode" the same as download mode? I know it's relatively easy to get into download mode. But "adb reboot bootloader" doesn't work for me.
Fastboot mode ≠ Download mode
If you did tick "Enable OEM unlock" , and adb reboot bootloader doesn't work, then I guess is BL is locked now.
I tried the method , i found that Android Bootloader does not have a green light, so i went to device manager to try to update the driver but it wasn't even there, clicked on view to show the hidden items or whatever then found android device, when i clicked update the driver i could not find the Google fastboot thing to update it with, all i got was either LG usb or ADB interface even thoough i downloader google fastboot usb drivers few days ago

Question Best way to unbrick your pixel

Here is a good Video guide witch worked for me to unbrick my pixel
Idk if it works when you have your usb debugging off but you can still try.
If it doesn't, try to find sideload methods to unbrick your pixel.
Also keep in mind that you have to have already installed usb drivers - adb drives etc on your pc.
Don't use type c to type c cables because installation will end with a bootloop or an error.
Use onky Usb to type C ...
its NECESSARY..(S.O.S)

Then we go back to my previous post - Android Flash Tool won't work if OEM Unlocking isn't enabled, meaning sideloading an update is the only option. If that doesn't work, recovery is impossible and the device is bricked. If any of these options works, the device is not bricked.
