Hello!
For some reason my board got fried so I took it to the warranty and they sent me to a place to drop off my phone. They changed it for free (great) but they also rooted my phone and left me a 4.1 ROM instead of the stock 4.2 as I had. I'm now having troubles regarding charging it (it's not detecting the cable correctly sometimes and think it's still plugged?) and it was fine before. So I'd like to see if it's a software issue before having to drop it off at the warranty for another full month.
OTA updates are not working obviously and Kies recognized my firmware as "up to date".
I don't want my phone rooted (I refused to do it right from the beginning) and I want my phone to be able to update normally.
Is there any way I can unroot my phone and leave it in the same condition I got my phone in originally? Stock ROM and all. I was happy with it.
Thanks a lot!
All needs to be Stock for unrooted phone.
Did they flash you a Stock/Custom Rom with a Stock kernel?
What does the phone info say ?
Are any root apps left in the menu? When yes, which ones?
To put in in a nutshell your aim is now to assure getting a stock Rom+Kernel and then unroot it with a Unroot App. Usually works like a charm
Oh, and if you want to switch back to 4.2 you can get the according Stock Rom either here by searching for your (exact) phone model or try novafusion.pl if its an old Samsung Galaxy.

So I got an AT&T S6 Active this past weekend, which came with android version 5.1.1. While in the store the guy who helped me transferred my contacts over and for some reason it made like 4 copies of each contact. Anyways, I got home that night and figured instead of deleting 1000 contacts i would just do a factory reset via the android system menu. The reset went fine except for the fact that I am now on 5.0.2 instead of 5.1.1 and lost my samsung pay. I have tried to update the software via Kies and Smart Switch, but neither will work. Also, checking for an update via the android system menu says there isn't one available. What gives and how can I get back on 5.1.1?
Sorry to hear that! Have you tried this?

So, to give some perspective my note 5 was working perfectly fine for a few weeks until out of nowhere i started getting this "Google Services have stopped" message every 30 minutes or so . I noticed that i wasnt getting any notifications either until i restarted my phone. So i decided to install a new clean room without all of the samsung bloatware. But i wanted to make a backup using smart switch so to my surprise as soon i plugged my phone in it allowed me to download the 6.0 marshmallow update and it worked fine...except the google services message + notification problem was still there . So
I went in fine and installed the clockwork recovery but of course, after this was done my phone would get stuck on the samsung logo forever, Since i dident even had a chance to copy the rom, i had to go all the way back. Download a stock firmware and flash that trough odin.. finally my phone was working again but now it wouldnt let me update trough smart switch ( says im on the latest version alredy )
The firmware i used is this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/general/guide-update-note-5-sm-n920c-to-android-t3317984
Since updating to that firmware i also noticed that my perfomance and battery life is much worse, As well on the download mode i have the Knox flag as 1, i dont know if this has any impact on the smart switch software
Basically i just want to go back to the marshmallow update that i got trough smart switch since it also included the spanish language pack that i really need
I recently upgraded to EMUI 5.0 but it was a little buggy so I decided to downgrade.
I found this website that I can't show because this website won't let me put it in, that 'showed' me how to downgrade back to Marshmallow but as I was doing it my device for soft-bricked and now I am in a boot loop and none of the recovery options work. Also cannot erase all data (it fails every time I try)
I would be really happy if I could get my phone back to how it use to be.
P.S. I have a backup of all my files so I don't mind what happens to my data on the phone.
Hi all
I have re-posted this to the G7 plus forum, I mistakenly posted it in the G7 forum previously.
I have a Motorola G7 Plus XT1965-3 RETGB, after being pestererd by the update to android 10 mesage for several weeks, I finally agreed, since then, the phone fails to work with my in car head unit bluetooth connection.
It pairs, and will stream music from the phone through bluetooth to the head unit, just will not work as a hands free phone.
The head unint is a Kenwood DNX4230DAB, it shows the device connected as A2DP, but the phone (HFP) just shows connecting forever, before the update to Android 10, it worked flawlessly.
I've tried doing a full device reset, didn't help, and following various things posted on forums on the web, again no luck, the phone is unrooted, and the bootloader is locked, it is essentially as was when purchased other than the Android 10 OTA update.
Can anyone tell me is it poossible to roll back the Andoroid 10 update, I should never have done it in fairness, i've been bitten many times before with updates breaking stuff.
If anyone has any suggestions as to how to get the handsfree calling working again, or can offer a easy to follow guide on how to roll back to Android 9, I would be super grateful, I need to get the device working as a handsfree phone before I go back to work this week if at all possible.
Hoping someone can help.
I have an similar issue. On LOS17 the phone app works well with bluetooth but all the other voip apps like zoiper, bria or groundwire dont. the audio over bt is one way only
Regarding your issue: I afraid an OTA downgrade is not possible. However with fastboot you should be able to flash every stock you want as long as it is stock
Unfortunately, I tried to flash the stock Android 9 retgb rom, now the phone is a brick!
I wasn't aware that you need to unlock the bootloader before you flash the rom, so now it will no longer start

You only need to unlock the bootloader when you are downgrading or switching to another version, like from retus to retbra, saying this, you phone turns on? does it do anything? maybe you just need to flash the rom again, you can go here: https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/lake/ and find the firmware for your phone, you may have to flash it manually, i have tried to flash the firmware for my phone with RSD Lite but it says that its not in bootloader, if you are flashing the same build that you had or a higher build you dont need to have an unlocked bootloader, just check the dates and the build numbers to make sure that its the same you had or a higher one, just search how to manually flash it, if its really bricked, that it will not boot into bootloader, you can use blankflash to save it, just search on the forum
