I recently got the update B200 for ALE-L21. After updating I tried to update device to B525 and B550 using OTA files. But update failed. How can I update from B200 to marshmallow?
Wait for ota?

I think you need B560 if i remember correctly.
I believe that you must downgrade to b170 or b188 and from those builds make local update.

well, i assume that by flashing b052, then update to b170 or b188 (via ota, or local).
or via hisuite but you need to be unrooted and official recovery.
take a look at this (use tranlator addon for opera, and other browsers)

You can go straight to B839, then OTA to B852, just backup your stuff.

On what rom are you now, b832? OTA ( Over The Air) is an update that comes wirelessly, it's not full firmware.

Hi,
I just downgraded from rooted L09C432B170 to B136 to get ready for the official Nougat release. After successful downgrade I checked for OTA updates and the latest I got is B166 though I'm pretty sure there is B182 for European version. Why am I not getting it? Do I need to install it manually and will I get official Nougat OTA as soon as it's released in this situation?
Thanks for help!
Today i rollbacked from Nougat to Marshmallow on my Honor 5c NEM-L21C432. My current version is C432B130 and my updater gives me B132 update, when i try to update it fails every time... What should i do?

I still don't understand why you don't 'like' OTAs. In System Update, Settings, you can always choose Full Update instead of default Differential. And you can force afterwards Factory Reset if you think you need.
b386 is the last flashable by DLOAD. Btw, I was going back and forth through diff stock and rooted and custom ROMs, rollbacks, OTAs, and never had any error in installations. There are many threads with excellent info and guides, you must read and follow because in diff situations methods might be different. DLOAD is not always applicable
Hello!
I'm currently running on EMUI 4.1.1 (EVA-L09C900B182)
I downloaded the official firmware for P9 from Huawei website, extracted the UPDATE.APP with this tool https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433454 so i could get the stock RECOVERY.img.
I placed the UPDATE.APP in a dload folder on the root of my external SDCARD
Rebooted into bootloader, flashed the stock recovery (I had TWRP).
vol+, vol- and power button togheter, it tries to install but fails (software install failed! Incompatibility with current version. Please download the correct update package.)
I tried also with huawei firmware finder app and even if it says the firmware is approved for the installation when i verify with IMEI, it fails after (I tried EVA-L09C900B386).
I tried:
- with the in-app proxy, changing my wifi proxy to localhost:8080 and using the default updater
- downloading the package and manually moving UPDATE.APP in dload on my ext sd card.
What i would like to obtain is a full stock huawei p9 phone, so i could get the official android 7 and latest firmware.
Thanks a lot!

Best is to follow this guide and debrand the phone to C432.

I did something similar and ended up with C432B242 after some update with huawei firmware finder. Now I cant reach B397.. I've tried all the intermediate steps after 242: no luck. It fails during installation. Any specific instruction?

U have to downgrade to B182 and then upgrade to B360 FullOTA-MF-PV
When u upgrade to a new Android system u must flash FullOTA-MF-PV
U could try without downgrade first, but u cant upgrade to B397 because its not signed yet by Huawei, B395 ist the latest approved Firmware.

From b182 OTAs will lead up to b395.
b397 OTA is expected any day, meanwhile it can be forced (as well as the newer b398) from b395 by using no-check recovery:

Update:
I reinstalled from b136 => b166 => b182
After that i tried b378 but now my build number is NRD90M test-keys
Will start again from b136 trying something different.
