Is there any possible way to reset or downgrade the firmware, bootloader or recovery of a Pebble Classic?
My pebble is completely non-functional after a recent firmware upgrade. I don't know when exactly it happened but now it's on Firmware v3.12.2, Recovery v3.8-prf9 and Bootloader 0x56418670 and with that combination it seems the bluetooth driver is faulty or something, because it has an invalid ID and it becomes un-discoverable by any other device.
It works fine only when in recovery mode. At that point, bluetooth seems to work fine, it gets connected, but then the Pebble app does its update and after a restart Bluetooth is non-functional again.
Pebble support won't look into the issue so I'm looking for 'aftermarket' methods of flashing a different / older ROM.
Any hints or pointers would be greatly welcome.
Best,
Julian

I have the same problem. Any solutions?

Same problem here. Managed to revive it !
So I bought a pebble Model 301BL Hardware V3R3 , and it already had the latest firmware , the 3.12 with time line , but no bluetooth . In recovery mode the bluetooth worked fine. But after update , same problem.
Tried the old App , got bootloop , and recovery again.
After days of searching , I found this site were there is a backup of the Pebble Store, there I have found an old firmare v2.1
How to:
You will need : A pebble original ( mine V3R3 )
charging cable
android phone
this app Gadgetbridge
this firmware v2.1
First connect your pebble to the charger , go to setings and do the factory reset. The watch will reset and go to the recovery mode. Install the gadgetbridge app on your phone and download de firmware 2.1.
Open the app and connect your pebble in the app , there are two bluetooth options , choose the second one.
After pair and connection ok , press the second icon , the two squares , you will see the stuff on the watch , Apps , watch faces , and so on. Just press the + button , and navigate to were you saved the 2.1 firmware , and select it. select Install.
If all goes well , you should now have firmware 2.1 on your pebble.
For latest v2.9 you must get the old Pebble App.
If you connect your pebble to the new Pebble App , you will get the same faulty firmware , so don't , it will still be faulty and you will have to do the proccess again to get back to a safe 2.1 firmware.
Feel free to ask me if you have problems .
Good luck !
Also you should save this Pebble store backup for when the app will be clossed , just in case.

hi everyone ,
I have a problme with my samsung galaxy i9000. when i was upgrading it on Kies , the connection was broken. and i can not switch on my on. i tried to connect the phone to the kies again, but kies is searching the phone the gives an error message " the phone is not responding to solve problem ..
what can i do ? i bought this phone last year ( in may) with contract. do i have a chance to send it guaranty???
thank you very much...
If you are on stock rom and havnt modified the rom in any way (rooted) and you have a guarantee...send it back and claim. Thats what its there for.
Or if you can get into download mode (volume down + home + power button) you could do it yourself using odin. Flash the same stock rom but you will lose all your apps and data.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA
if still under warranty take it in... don't mess with it.
Users following our Turkish Optimus 4X forum had lagging problems after v20C firmware update even after they performed a factory reset on the phone.
They complained that the phone was working very slowly and even after closing a simple application, the icons on the launcher page disappeared and appeared again.
Following is the solution that helped the users who had this problem:
Run LG Mobile Support Tool (use B2CAppSetup.exe to install) and connect your phone to the PC with USB cable.
In the application menu select Customer Support/Recovery Phone and follow the instructions.
The application is going to download the latest JB firmware for your phone and reflash it on the phone.
Hope this helps the users who have a similar problem.
Please note that although other flashing options might also be useful, this is a simple solution which can be performed by anyone who can use LG software.
(The solution was posted by a 53 year old forum user who is not an expert on neither Android phones nor Windows OS.)
I am gonna try this right now!
UPDATE: still laggy.....
That problem also happened on V20A in my opinion..
Yes....I flashed v20a, v20b, v20c...then I did factory reset everytime...and problem still persist.....I started to have this problem when I installed v20a
Needed to wipe phone anyway as G-Apps had an issue
But cant see a difference so far
*edit*
I noticed last night my play store UI changed
I did a factory reset, then followed the recovery in LG support tool.
Memory use stayed the same, but so far having no other issues with my phone.
My gear watch is stuck on the (firmware upgrade encounter an issue please select recovery mode in kies and try again }
Here is what I did:
When trying to get the null rom running.
I got into this problem "IF TWRP IS NOT DISPLAYING CORRECTLY LIKE THE FOLLOWING:", as shown here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2537338
So I followed the first step:
DOWNLOAD THE STOCK V700XXUAMK7 IMAGE. (FLASH A FRESH INSTALL, DO NOT SKIP)
I accidentally flashed V700XXUCNE9, instead of V700XXUAMK7.
And then without setting up the watch on samsung gear and without getting into the debug mode, I tried to flash null again and it kept on stuck in the "NAND Write Start!!" message.
So I then tried to flash V700XXUAMK7 and it got stuck too after which I started getting
"firmware upgrade encounter an issue please select recovery mode in kies and try again"
I am unable to get into the download mode or the recovery mode. When I long press the power button, it throws me back to the "firmware upgrade encounter.." error.
Please please help. Is my watch recoverable ?
Update: I reflashed V700XXUCNE9 and its up and running now Looks like I was trying to downgrade it and thats where it was failing.
I want null rom on it and looks like it only can be put on top of V700XXUAMK7. How do I go back from V700XXUCNE9 to V700XXUAMK7 ? Can I flash null_03_TWRP2.7.tar on top of V700XXUCNE9 ?
You can, it does not care about any bootloader or stuff like that. It just repleaces a bunch of files on the system partition.
Lucky you, most of the times its a brick, i recommend you to use tizen the battery life on tizen is amazing
Thank you all. I was able to get back to Android and then flash the null ROM. I have the nova launcher running now but I am unable to use internet from my Android phone (LG Optimus G E970). It shows as paired but does not connect to the internet.
Also Play Store crashes when I try to add an account of use existing (says Google Account manager has stopped working).
How do I sync this thing with my phone, getinternet to work, make calls etc. ? Please help.
FYI: I have already checked for this from the FAQ page:

INTERNET ACCESS
GO INTO "FULL SETTINGS -> BLUETOOTH -> SELECT YOUR PHONE SETTING ICON (ON THE RIGHT OF PHONE NAME) -> TICK INTERNET ACCESS".
ENSURE BLUETOOTH TETHERING IS ENABLED ON YOUR PHONE BEFORE HAND OBVIOUSLY.
But I am still unable to access internet.
did you get this working,
Did you add bluetooth tethering on your mobile
Flashing Null on V700XXUCNE9
@getmexda,
Did you come right with this eventually?
I have gone through a nearly identical process as you, accidentally flashing V700XXUCNE9, instead of V700XXUAMK7 and have been unable to get either TWRP or Null installed. You said, "I was able to get back to Android and then flash the null ROM". How did you do this? And did you resolve your issues with the internet access?

Hi,
I'm new to these things. Please help.
I have partial problems with my phone's speaker. I want to try can it be fixed via System Update.
Speaker problem is kinda mind-bending. Not sure when it occurs.
Speaker seems to work fine when calling someone near. When calling from over ~10 kilometers, speaker distorts the incoming sound. Works fine with loud speaker, which kind of takes the problem out of being problem of my service provider.
I'm quite possibly going to take my phone to the warranty service. That's why I want to have the "Device status: Official", not "Custom".
My friend rooted and installed a custom ROM, which I didn't like. I made him uninstall the ROM but the root stayed. (Late 2013)
Now comes the part I think I f***ed up.
Started watching videos about urooting, unbricking and such. Now what I have accomplished is that I've pressed "unroot" in SuperSU and uninstalled it.
Soon to notice that I should've used some program to clear the Device status.
Not sure what Flashing Android means and when its done, but there is counter which should be put to zero?
Those two things are done in programs which require rooting? So what do I do now?
Installing SuperSU gives me error binary not installed, and SuperSU cannot install it. Someone in fixed this with restarting device in Recovery mode with QuickBoot program which, again, needed the device to be rooted already.
I want to have my System Update done by the "right" way, from "About device" -> "Update". Now it gives me "Your device has been modified."
Please redirect and guide me!

Make backup of your images, videos and data by copy to ext SD or use Helium from Play Store .
Install =flash 5.0.1 Samsung GT-I9295 firmware best match for your region using PC Odin 3.09 /3.10. The complete firmware *. TAR.MD5 is placed in Odin AP field, no need for other files in the other Odin file fields.
Factory reset after successful flash.
Will set all to stock with latest firmware.

So, to give some perspective my note 5 was working perfectly fine for a few weeks until out of nowhere i started getting this "Google Services have stopped" message every 30 minutes or so . I noticed that i wasnt getting any notifications either until i restarted my phone. So i decided to install a new clean room without all of the samsung bloatware. But i wanted to make a backup using smart switch so to my surprise as soon i plugged my phone in it allowed me to download the 6.0 marshmallow update and it worked fine...except the google services message + notification problem was still there . So
I went in fine and installed the clockwork recovery but of course, after this was done my phone would get stuck on the samsung logo forever, Since i dident even had a chance to copy the rom, i had to go all the way back. Download a stock firmware and flash that trough odin.. finally my phone was working again but now it wouldnt let me update trough smart switch ( says im on the latest version alredy )
The firmware i used is this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/general/guide-update-note-5-sm-n920c-to-android-t3317984
Since updating to that firmware i also noticed that my perfomance and battery life is much worse, As well on the download mode i have the Knox flag as 1, i dont know if this has any impact on the smart switch software
Basically i just want to go back to the marshmallow update that i got trough smart switch since it also included the spanish language pack that i really need
