I'm looking for a good thin, clear case to use with my Dbrand skin.
The case I have now fits a little too tight and the buttons are difficult to press. Its linked below for reference.

Thanks for the pics! How does it fit inside the case with the skin? Do the buttons function like they did without the skin, or is there a difference?
My case was great without the skin, but now the buttons are too hard to press.

I haven't noticed a difference with the case on, just be VERY careful putting it on if you don't want to damage it

i have tried Orzly Clear Case and HotCool Clear Case and i feel the Orzly one is thinner and feels more like the phone and both have about the same clarity, also the buttons don't feel as stiff, i also ordered some foreign one which claims to be even thinner, i don't care much about protection i'd rather have thinner b/c its mainly to keep my dBrand Skin in tact, i will report back once i get the new one and see how it is

Yeah I'm in the same boat. Just want to preserve the skin and also protect the camera hump. I ordered the orzly flex case hoping the buttons won't be stiff. If they are I'll return it.
I'll be waiting on your feedback on the one you just ordered!

So I got the Orzly Flexi Case and it seems literally identical to the Love Ying clear case I already had. As a result, the buttons are identically difficult to press with the phone and dbrand skin being used. Oh well. I'll just have to get used to it.

Looks like Poetic has revamped it's Revolution case design for M8. Thinking about ordering this. Looks pretty comparable to Otterbox. http://www.poeticcases.com/revolution-5

Some with the beetle case. Poetic is thinner and still works with the tempered glass protector.

Only $2.95 + shipping on Amazon, but it looks like the IR port is covered. I wanted to see how it compares with the Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro which is a fantastic case and supports IR.

I just got mine in and it's a lot lighter than the Otterbox Defender. Doesn't seem as bulky either. The touch response is a lot better too. On the Defender, the built in screen protector was a little loose and had some play between it and the screen. On this one, there is no play. The design is really nice. I only used the Defender when I rode my bike and then immediately took it off, with this one, I think I'll use it daily.

i ordered this last night and am excited. for under $10 shipped, it could be a steal.
quick question tho for elir41 or anyone else who has it already-- will it work with a tempered glass (MIME feather glass) screen protector?
my hope was to run the glass protector always and swap between this and the seidio surface kickstand case as appropriate.
anyway, ill post when i receive mine, but earlier feedback from those who already have the case is appreciated

I don't think you'll be able to use the tempered glass screen protector. The phone fits really snug in the first portion of the case and the built in screen protector lays right against the screen.
I don't have a screen protector so I can't give you a guaranteed answer, but from what i see, I don't think you'll be able to. Sorry man.

appreciate it man. after reading your response i did a little additional research and found out about the seidio convert which goes on top of the surface and supposedly offers otterbox-like protection. if this case doesn't work, ill just get that. probably a more elegant (but also more expensive) solution, anyway. regardless ill post in here when i get the poetic case and let peeps know.

You can probably just pop out the plastic screen protector. I did that with the Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro. BTW this case looks a lot like the Unicorn Beetle Pro. I wonder if maybe it's just a rebranded version of it...hmm...

The IR blaster doesn't work, unfortunately. The top strip is clear, but it looks like it's purely cosmetic. I think if they followed the strip through the power button cover, it would've worked. Not sure why they didn't.

Could we post some of the thinnest cases we've found? Like Rinke slim, etc..
I like the cases that are so thin with the tops and bottoms open, but they seem to be rare nowadays
Not sure if it's thin enough for you but I like the way this looks. I think the reason very think and open cases are so rare is that they barely offer any protection with large phones
This is crazy thin and with the price might as well order just for the hell of it...
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Case...Back-Case-For-Samsung-Galaxy/32398559531.html
The Ringke Slim is one of the tiniest cases around and it covers the top and bottom of the case with a good amount of protection. The Ulak clear slim case is also very thin and offers a shock proof protection with it's tpu sides and clear back.
I'm not looking for major drop protection. I like ultra thin cases to mainly protect the finish and camera lens when I lay my phone on random surfaces, as well as hiding some of the awful fingerprints and finger grease.
Thanks guys
The official Samsung case is by far the slimmest case. If you want to even call it a case,
I had one for my S6 Edge and its basically like nothing is on the phone and just protects the corners and back glass.
But its expensive

Does anyone know if the rubber-ish looking stuff on the top and bottom are grippy?
I like how the glass on the note5 is grippy to the hand, but slippery in the pocket/on cloth.
My worry is that the polycarbonate might be the opposite -- and always catch going into a tighter pocket.

I'm not sure about this specific case, but I know what you mean. The glass is grippy to my fingers but a polycarbonate incipio case I bought for it is very slick. I may have to return it.
I'm hoping that Orzly will make one. I have their frost thin case on my S6 and love it. Just enough to protect against scratches and thin enough to keep the "feel" .
So, I received 2 Rinke slim cases, clear and black. I have the Rinke Fusion as well.
Quick impressions.
Clear Rinke Fusion. It's ok, slightly bulky for me tho. Fits perfect, cutouts are where they should be. Case has an annoying piece of tape/plastic on the inside that was a PITA to remove. I'd say it's a 7/10.
Rinke Slim, Black. Perfect fit, hugs the contours of the phone perfectly. Cutouts are great, especially around the Spen. I feel like the fusion case made it slightly more difficult to remove the spen, the Slim doesnt.
Rinke Slim, clear. I really really wanna use this case, it's crystal clear and looks so good on the phone. Problem is, it doesn't fit perfectly like the black version. When you slightly squeeze the sides, you can feel the case move. Really lame.
I'm also using the Ringke SF Black Case and it's very thin based on my thinness standards. pics are below (i'm reposting pictures from my post at Android Central).

Reminds me of the GS3 with the smooth plastic. I think covering the beautiful glass is outweighed by the feel and the increased grip you get with a skin. I don't plan on skinning any other part of the phone; just the back. No other skin, no case because it's so beautiful.
Sent from my SM-N920T
I normally don't skin or put cases on my phone, but this phone is super slick in hand, especially when my hands are sweaty. I want at least a little bit of added grip from the skin so I'm not as likely to drop it.
I think we are all thinking the same thing here. Don't ruin this with a case, don't make it huge, don't even protect it. Just grip. To that end, which has more grip and does anyone know of a clear skin for the rear that just adds grip?
I got the Blue skin on order
I get MY blue note 5... well the back anyhow
Orderered. Delivery time... 3-6 weeks. ? Will probably put a case around it during that time. The back is just too slippery in this humid weather.
Might look into these too. In the mean time it's going in a case. 175$ insurance deductible is to rich for me right now.

More colors doesn't mean better quality. I've tried both dBrand and slick wraps and keep coming back to dBrand. Their skins are so much better. The material is better quality, the skins are cut better. It's a better product to me. Yes they may not have purple carbon fiber, but really.... Do you want purple carbon fiber?? Lol

They get their wraps from the same source so everyone is delusional thinking one has a clear advantage aside from value for deliverables. If you want back only skins get a dbrand, if you want full everything get the slickwraps it's better value. Both companies can make mistakes during the cutting process so don't listen to either one's marketing schemes.

I got the RINGKE REARTH Fusion Case (Ink Black). Best casing so far that I can get my hands on for the Honor 8 Pro. :good:
I'm using X-One screen protector for my phone too. It's not Tempered Glass (It's pet film) but no annoying halo or border bubbles that you get on TGP for 2.5D displays. Best so far.

How about the dust caps? Are they hard or soft? Do you think the back will have some scratches over time?

The dust caps are soft so it's easy on and off. Won't be hard when you need to charge. The back since it's just transparent hard plastic, it'll probably be scratched over time but that's it's purpose anyway. Haha. You could always put a clear sticker on it.

Currently I have a case with a dust cap for my Honor 8. The caps are very hard that it pushes the charger a bit and now it doesn't lock anymore with the holes. Thanks. I'm planning to get an Honor 8 Pro and looking for cases. Ringke seems no for me.

Still early but any thin cases out?, Pitaka an Latercase will most likely be the best
Yep already pre-ordered the Latercase. I have one for my N20u and love it

Any recommendation for thin case usable with magnetic holders? Without need to use additional plate on it of course.

Looks great, hopefully they will do one for OnePlus 8T as well.
Not super duper thin, but the OEM cases (sandstone) are great, rocking the blue one right now
Also waiting on the pitaka case, they should be making one since they made for 8/8 pro. Weird that they haven't posted any announcement or anything stating that it is in the works

I got that too while I wait for my latercase. I'm not liking this go to case. Too thick for my liking. Hoping my dbrand get here soon, I'll just rock it with a skin for a bit.

I e-mailed Pitaka and they responded with no plans for an 8T case.

That's unfortunate, maybe they will change their plans if enough people inquire. [emoji2369]

Yeah, they actually said they might consider it if enough people wanted it
Is the Latercase thinner than the official oneplus sandstone one? I'm also looking for something thin as this phone is slightly wider than ideal for me, so a huge case is a deal breaker.

Imo the latercase is the thinnest case you can get. Only thing thinner again imo is a skin

I just checked their case. Seems like the only version available is the cyber edition one and it looks funky to me. Not too keen on the design where it only has small cut outs for each camera hole and flash. Wish they had a normal version like the rest of their oneplus cases.

How much protection does a dBrand Grip case give ?
What is their Prism screen protector like ?
If you think Go To case is too thick, check this out

I wasn't referring to a dbrand case I was referring to a dbrand skin, which came today for me.
