Hello, Folks!
It's the time that I replaced a LCD screen with frame and after replacing it seems like that SIM reader as well as that Micro SD card reader.
The thing is, after placing my sim in old tray (tray didn't come with frame) and slowly placing the tray in my phone it starts to make some crackling noise while sliding the tray into the device itself. After few tries I found out that device is not reading my sim anymore as it did before, as well same happened with micro sd reader.
So I'd like to know what should cause this and is there any troubleshooting possible (e.g resoldering sim reader)
It's weird because as frame looks like NOT original one then maybe there is any possibility of faulty frame which could cause the problem...

Never fear i found a fix..... From what i found is there is a tab on the slot with the sim card and sd card slot is attached to simply gently pry around the edges and it will pop off clean like this.....
Now all you need to do is get on somewhere like e bay to find a cheap replacement and you are good to go ..... notice where the tabs go together.....
Not sure if this was covered yet if so mod remove if not hopes it helps someone out there.....
Hey guys, I mostly use Android phones, have the S3, got this HD7 in a trade.
Anyway, the S3 has a micro SIM card, so I can't use it here, don't have an adapter so me and my girlfriend decided to make one, lol.
We were bored so meh, I have like 5 T-Mobile SIM cards laying around, so yeah..
This is what we did.
Original regular sized SIM card:

Regular sized and Micro sized SIM:
Taped them together:
Cut the outline out:
Taped my S3 micro SIM into the newly made adapter:
Yay, it worked!
Lulz.
Hi! I've always wanted to use 2 sim cards with my S7 Edge (G935FD) along with a micro sd card. I've seen "hacks" which remove the sim card contacts and glue those to the micro sd card. But then, I saw this sim card extender

and wanted to know if anyone has tried it? I'm kind of scared that I won't be able to remove the sim card tray after using this extender. Would appreciate all inputs. Thanks!
I'm also interested in that Sim extender....also..I already order several of it online to try on my G935FD....Its coming in next 2-3 weeks or so....I'll inform you how it work later...
What a coincidence. Out of curiosity, I also ordered one. Hoping it will arrive next week. Will inform you when it arrives.
Anyone know if the NFC reader is still in the front or if it has been moved to the back like all other phones?
Reading implanted chips is a pain with the NFC reader on the touch screen side.

It's located in the back of the device.

Thanks!
it's in the back with the XZ2 as well, which I had to get use to. I kind of liked it on the front with the earlier Sony's as it seemed to me to be a natural wrist gesture.
I removed the back cover of my 9.7 inch tablet to change the battery and it seems I've broken a wire. I put everything back together and it seems to work. I've attached an image showing the wire. Can anyone tell me what it's for? I know it's somehow related to the speaker, but that speaker seems to still work.
thanks

I don't know the answer to your question, but can affirm your problem with breaking this wire. The instructions for back cover removal that are commonly available on YT do not mention the need to be cautious around this area of the tablet. On the contrary, they are quite obviously unaware that they are damaging the tablet with their method of removing the cover! The chip you point to here is clearly missing after the cover is removed in one of the videos.
My mom's tablet did not work after replacing the battery, but I don't know that this was the reason, there may have been something else wrong with it.
