[Q] Z1 won't turn on

Well i've got this problem with a Xperia Z1 from a friend of mine. It's not powering on. If i press the power button the phone won't turn on. It can enter fastboot but that is everything. The phone is fully charged because that's the only thing that works so far beside the fastboot. It's on stock firmware no custom ROM. Maybe that you people of XDA have the solution i hope so or experienced the same problem and that it is fixable.

it is fixable, its very easy: just flash a stock ftf via flashtool. Tutorials can be found here on xda, just google

Well i've tried that to. But when i plug in the USB cable and press the volume down button it shows the Sony screen and then it goes to charging mode and that's it...... So what coud else be the possible solution? If you want i can make a video of it

I Had a similar issue, my volume up button got stuck, causing it to always boot in fastboot.
Power up phone, connect to pc, install driver, then run fastboot on your pc and run:

didn't work but fastboot reboot worked. So i've managed to boot the device and when it was booted. I found out that the power button and the volume down button aren't working! So what is the solution to this can i reinstall Android and find out if it works again because else my friend needs to boot the phone through fastboot and he has no understanding how this fastboot works so is there an another option or am is screwed? Could you please help me? Because i need to fix his phone for this weekend because he already sold his other phone......

Did something happen to the phone?
Like dropped it in some liquid other than water?
Does the camera button still function?
For an android reinstall:
Boot the phone normally and perform a software reinstall using Sony PC Companion, connect it via USB to your pc.
With PCC you can fully reinstall the software on the phone.

The phone screen was replaced recently. The camera button works fine. And i don't know if there was any other liquid then water in the phone or something like that. The last thing that i could try is to reinstall the software and hopefully that works.

my honor 4x che1l04 is totaly messed ,i am going to narrate what al happened
firstly my mobile is rooted,flashed twrp,on cm12.1 custom os,while using the mobile yesterday phone suddenly started to reboot,so i just let it but its stucking at bootimage,so i went to recovery mode using the buttons of mobile cleared cache and done factory reset too,still same problem persists,hence i decided to flash OS again,so i searched for cm12.1 but unfortunately i didnt found the downloadable links,so i downloaded MOKKE ,and i entered recovery mode .i started to flash mokee via twrp but while in sudenn the mobile turned off and it keep on displaying honor powered by android screen with a lag of 3 seconds continously,now unable to get into recovery mode using the phone keys,unable to turnoff.BUT ABLE TO GET INTO FASTBOOT & RESCUE MODE
visited service center ,that person said mother board problem but i thinks its a software mess,
looking for needy sugestions

battery drained fully i think, not able to getinto fastboot mode, when i connect charger it will be powering on and will display the battery symbol with led blinking

Not really.
first two days i can able to access fastboot mode ,but after two days mobile is dead ,when charger is connected a battery icon appears otherthan that nothing is displaying,i think battery drained fully.

let it charge for 3-4 hours and check whether device power on.
by pressing
1.power button.
2.power button + vol +/vol-
3.power button. + vol+ +vol-
and seen whether you can get into recovery.

when i press power button its displaying battery symbol and turning off

my mobile recovery was corrupted, but when my device is on, i am able to getinto fastboot mode only

if your device is able to boot into recovery and it is being detected by PC then you have good chances of recovering your device.
if its not a mother board issue.

So now u can extract recovery.img from update.app and flash it in ur phone through fastboot .

Yah,my device is showing in pc when i connect it through usb device is not detecting in adb,this happened in past
now my mobile is not turning on,battery fully drained,not able to get into fastboot too

1.Try re installing USB drivers.
2.try different port.
3.try different usb cable and check whether it is being detected in pc.
PS: when connected check whether any notification is displayed on phone.

It wont show up as asb device when u dint enable usb debugging in developer options . Please do tjat first

P9 Hard Bricked - No recovery, no fastboot

First i'm sorry for my bad english.
I've a P9, and i tried to update to Nougat. But something went wrong, and now, i can't boot my phone, no recovery no fastboot. When i plug it on my pc, my phone is recognize as "USB SER". How to unbricked ?

Hold volume down + power for 15 seconds, hold it even longer to try to get into fastboot mode. Was the battery low? Maybe you need to charge the phone up.

My phone is charged.

Put rescue firmware in dload folder in sd card and boot and hold power + and -...

It only boots to fastboot from adb shell or if i plug it in my computer and hold vol down + power if i dont plug it in it will not boot into fastboot.

I don't have access to fastboot or recovery. I have black screen, when i try all combinations. When it's plugged, it's only recognized as " USB SER "

Hold Vol Down while inserting a USB cable connected to your computer, assuming you have one.

Hey mate, did you find a solution, same thing happened to me ... the only thing I get from the phone is "USB SER" ... never unlocked, rooted or flashed my phone. Could be a hardware failure?

No, i found nothing...

How did you try to update to nougat? Can you boot into erecovery?

I already tried DC phoenix, but my phone isn't recognized so i can't use it

After hours of search, i found a python program for honor 4C. This program can communicate with p9 with usb serial port. So, i got Linux on my pc, tried to be familiar with python.

Hey mate I managed to revive my phone ... it had to be something hardware related. I opened it up, disconnected the battery cable for a couple of minutes, reconnected and re-screwed everything and it turned on. I didn't even lose any data.

Could some one please help me, i've tryed to restore a mate 10 pro who as in demo mode but i made a mistake with a "update.zip" file and now the phone is always off, no fastboot or recovry mode, the phone stay off when i press the power bouton. when i plug the USB cable, it appear "USB SER" only.

i try to turn off my note 9 exynos then press power+bixby+volume down together but it dont get to download mode but only bootloop till i release the buttons why?
i didn able to get to download mode with the usb hold the bixby and volume down then plug the usb and it did go to download mode
is my phone not good ?

Why would you wanna go into download-mode?
No: your phone is NOT defective, only there's a new procedure to get your phone in download-mode:

I can get to it via recovery on my Note 9,I have no explanation as to why you're having issues.
Perhaps try the method given in post #2 of this thread.

New method now for Note 9 download mode. Power off, hold Bixby+Vol Down and connect USB cable to PC to trigger it.

Can't boot into download mode too....

Yip, this works...but tricky combo to hold down Bixby and Vol Down while plugging into USB power...I almost took my device in for fixing because I just could't for the life of me boot into Download mode after encountering the dreaded custom binary error on trying to boot up...

Mi 5X - Boot loop and no access to recovery or fastboot

Bootloader type = Oxygen (not sure if that is the proper one for the device though)
Bootloader lock = Unlocked via Xiaomi official procedure
USB Debug = Not sure, I'm starting to fear it's off though
Original issue = My phone was bricked. No sound, display or whatsoever.
What did I try?
I followed an unbrick tutorial which made me flash an Oxygen firmware file. After that I get a boot loop. Mi logo and Android loading bar appears and seems to be like that continuously.
I can't access either fastboot or recovery mode. If I try any of the two button combinations I don't even get the Mi logo screen. I see the backlight turn on and nothing happens.
I tried flashing several fastboot roms, stock roms and firmware files I could find, flashing them with different versions of MiFlash. Except for the one I described in step 1 none of them change the situation as described in 'Original issue'.
I need to use the 'test pin method' to even let the computer detect the phone in MiFlash. The phone does not get detected inADB fasboot (which makes sense, as I can't enter fastboot mode anyway).
I'm hoping someone can point me in a direction which leads me to fix my phone. I'm not sure what steps I did to even get to the point where it stopped responding in any way. It has been some time ago, but I think I flashed an Oreo firmware file just before that point.

i did tryied test point (edl mode) and i think either i connect wrong point together or my rom was wrong and my phone can not boot or show anything . when connect to charge it shows key light flashing without any picture in the screen and without any vibration after pushing power button . i either dont have acces to fastboot now . what is wrong with my phone ?

If you find the right points you can get into edl. Did you try a cable already?

i dont know i connect right point together or not but my phone name changed when connect to pc with xiaomi fastboot installer and i gave my phone to a developer and he install a lot of roms with edl mode ,too but there is no change

Nah it’s k. You still need the right files, but most of the time a edl cable can get you in.

hi . I tried to flash the phone a lot but still the phone keys light are just on when I connect the phone to charger and when I disconnected it , it is off even when I push power key
what should I do ?
