Ok here is my issue. I have been flashing droids for years without a single issue. I got my Note 5 about 2 months ago and decided to flash it since it was possible for the Sprint model. Flashing went as normal, perfect. I flashed a custom ROM, MOAR, and it was working great. No issues, very amazing ROM by the way. I then went and made a back up with TWRP and saved it to my OTG flash drive. I then proceeded to change the boot image, the one that says "Samsung" logo, because I had seen a tutorial on how someone did that on a Note 5. Now comes my problem. After flashing the new boot image, my Note 5 WILL NOT boot up. It will charge, as it does show it charging, I can get it into Download Mode. and that's it, just Download Mode. No recovery mode, no boot image, just Download Mode. I want to know if it's possible to use the backup that got from TWRP, which was a full backup, and use it with Odin to flash it back to the way phone was before this mishap, reinstall the correct boot image, or WHATEVER I need to get my phone up and running again. Thank you very much to anyone and everyone that can help me out
I would use download mode and a full firmware package to get it back working and booting , and once that works , I would use my backup to return to where i was.

Do you know where I could get one? I need this phone up and running really bad. I just went to Sprint and they said they were going to charge me $75 to look at and if it needed to be fixed it would be $350. I can't afford that. So ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Sorry about not answering earlier. You should get your firmware from www.sammobile.com , just search your model # (Note 5 are : SM-N920XX ) where the XX is carrier dependant. Sign up to their site and take the slow download. Then flash the firmware in download mode , using odin on your pc.

Just wanted to say thank you for the reply. I've been downloading the firmware for the past 2hrs now.lol. It was the "newest" upload they had for the firmware. If for whatever reason this doesn't work, GOD please it work, what should next? Thank you.
Well I flashed the new firmware(N920PVPU2BPG1_N920PSPT2BPG1_SPR) last night with Odin and to no avail it did not work. I still get only a black screen when trying to normal boot, still can't boot into recovery, but still can boot into Download Mode. I don't know what to do at this point. I have never had this happened.

Hi,
My phone -Note 4 N910T- is stucked at bootscreen, and it can not to boot into recovery mode too. It is bootloop after upgrading by OTA from Kitkat 4.4.4 - N910TUVU1ANK4.
I tried to flash stock firmware( using both "N910TUVU1ANK4" and "N910TUVU1COD6" ), or full files stock firmware ( included PIT files),but it hasn't worked. I also tried to flash by Smatch Swich, everything seem OK but it can not fix.
I attached some photos of my problem for your reference.
Please help me.
Thanks,

I tried using Kies too, but it did not work.:crying::crying::crying:
I was going to suggest the same thing. Try using Kies and go to Tools\Emergency firmware recovery and see if that works.

Yes, I can. One of my attached photos has shown as above. I tried to flash via ODIN or Smart Switch ( Kies 3), the program has shown OK but I still got the problem.

It is pretty hard to brick these phones. Just in case you have a bad file or something. Grab the zip and follow these instructions. I know that all these files in this zip are good so it is worth a shot.
Even if you know what you are doing, follow the instructions exactly, you may be overlooking something. It happens to everyone sometimes.

After you odin whichever firmware you flashed, wait about 10 min or so on that boot screen that is stucked. Then pull the battery out. Go into stock recovery but power+home+vol up. Then select wipe data/reset. Reboot and it should boot just fine.
At least that's how i fixed my phone that stuck few times like what you going through.

The problem is my phone can not access to stock recovery or TWRP recovery. It just stuck at first bootscreen which is shown "Samsung Galaxy Note 4 powered by Android", then restart and stuck again. So that I can not wipe data or reset to fix.

Since you can still get into download mode, what happens if you flash TWRP through ODIN? Step 10 in the instructions I posted assuming it is still rooted or start at step 8 if not. Just to see if you can get recovery working again.
You are wasting time...start over, it's your best and quickest fix....

Hello everyone,
The situation is more or less this one: my phone stopped to work since the Lollipop has installed on it automatically, I allowed that update of course. Since then became very unstable, till start looping constantly...
FYI: Bought the phone in US but I'm living in Portugal, so Samsung over here didn't gave me any support due to warranty restrictions.
So I tried to solve the issue by myself and completely messed up with the phone.
I downloaded the Firmware version: I9295XXUDOD3_I9295OXXDOD1_I9295XXUDOD3_HOME.tar.md5
Model GT-I9295
Model name GALAXY S4 Active
Country Portugal (TPH)
Version Android 5.0.1
Changelist 4556221
Build date Thu, 16 Apr 2015 07:43:33 +0000
Product code TPH
PDA I9295XXUDOD3
CSC I9295OXXDOD1
Followed all the instructions:
Extract (unzip) the firmware file
Download Odin v3.10.6
Extract Odin ZIP file
Open Odin v.3.10.6
Reboot Phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes.
The Odin is showing green "Pass", after 07' and 18'' of installation process.
But the phone simply reboots at the end and shows on the screen (on blue) RECOVERY BOOTING and nothing else happens.
Just freezes there...
I've tried to press and hold Home + Power + Volume Up buttons, and stays always on the same.
Tried several attempts to "flash the Rom", and something went very wrong, failed on Odin, etc... I know that I'm completely out of my league!
So, what can I do now to recover it? Is there a way or the phone is permanently lost?
Thank you so much for your help guys!
Rui
First question, you mentioned that you bought the phone in the US. Did you purchase the AT&T model i537, or international model i9295? Since you can't boot your phone you can check which model underneath the battery, or if you have the AT&T version there will be an AT&T logo on the back cover.
I think is the "international model".

At least it is not the AT&T version, cause there isn't any logo on it. Here is its ID data:

FCC ID: A3LGTI9295
SSN: -I9295GSMH

download mode still working? if yes try to flash 442
you flashed 501 over 422?
If I fully understand what you are meaning, I think I can say I've flashed 501 over 501 already.
The phone was already with Lollipop. It upgraded it via OTA as I'm saying initially. As the phone stooped to work, I've downloaded the Android 501 - Firmware version: I9295XXUDOD3_I9295OXXDOD1_I9295XXUDOD3_HOME.tar.md 5 and the situation now is as the one previously described.
you did't answer, Vol.down+power for download mode is working? try to flash custom recovery .
Yes, it's still working.
How to flash a custom recovery?

Tried to flash with the 4.4.2 and still freezes on "Recovery Booting...."
Thank you for your help.
Every time you flash a stock rom through Odin, your phone will return to stock recovery too.
Yes I think you'll need pit files.
Where to find the correct ones for this phone?

Went to the website you told me: http://androidbiits.com/update-samsung-galaxy-s4-active-gt-i9295-to-android-4-4-2-kitkat-xxucne5/
The link is not working there: sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=30085
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/30085/I9295XXUCNE5_I9295PHNCNE1_PHN.zip
The web page shows "404 Not Found".
But, should be in a Zip like this one with the necessary files to a complete process:
At least on the page instructions of androidbiits.com it's mentioned about several files to choose with Odin:
a ".tar.md5" file plus a "modem" file plus a "csc" file + a ".pit" file.
Any suggestion to find an alternative?
Again, stuck...
any help pls?

Firstly, I would recommend to use Odin 3.7 or 3.9. You can get the firmware from sammobile.com/firmware, put the device name and select the one for your region.
I would recommend a clean install with factory reset.
He can't make factory reset. Phone is stuck in recovery starting.

Boot loop and maybe bricked
I still cannot get to the cache to clear it.
Here what I have right now.
hold power button, screens goes black then have the first screen of start, S7 edge, it goes off and comes back on
i can get into down load mode, tried reloading the stock firmware but get a write error, model miss-match
if arrow down goes to start up boot loop, if arrow up does into downlaod
power off (does not really shut off)
Vol up + home + power, gets the recovery booting loop
Odin sees the phone, but any writes all seem to fail. Sometimes have to use Odin Prince sometimes 3.12.7
In 12/.6 tried to load the S7 edge qual com image file from rooting, and that said fail in red.
Tried to flash back stock but like I said earlier, says product code miss match
I had tried to use odin to do that update and that probably is what screwed the pooch.
Any ideas?
eror 404 not found broken link very nice...
error 404
can you upload the file again ?
@norbarb you need to take all your links down if you're not going to reupload them.
Boot loop and recovery boot loop
You need to get to recovery and clean cache
ok so, is there a way to fix this with boot lop and recovery in boot loop?
Odin comsy sees the phone but ADB does not... Hoping to get this fixed and working again. Had to buy a phone so using a SM-G930V. At least no more ATT for me....

I Hi am wondering if you could help with my Galaxy Note 8
I am able to install the firmware using ODIN without any errors on download mode but after ODIN is finished the phone turns off and does not boot.
I have taken the phone to a repair shop as well and they have confirmed that there is no hardware issues,
My model number is SM-950F , basically stuck on download mode
No luck turning the phone on recovery mode only can use download mode and i have tried the same files with the Nand erase all, the same thing .. Odin installs all the files without any errors but does not boot up after installation is finished.
The service shop said they checked components on the motherboard and there is no damage or no IC has been damaged.
What do you suggest i do next?
Hello All,
While I was taking pictures with latest patch OTA firmware, the Note 9 just rebooted and was stuck at the boot screen.
Weird, it was kinda a long pause then it was just plain stuck.
After 20 minutes, I tried to reboot it to recovery mode and it would not enter into that mode and would just reboot.
I was able to get to download mode and reflashed the latest firmware and it would reboot and not leave the splash screen.
I took it to t-mobile and they said that since it was under warranty, they would just order me another and it would take 3 days because they did not have any note 9 in stock.
They said because there was no visual damages, they wrote it as a manufacturer's defect.
When I get into the download mode, there was some tiny type that read fuse burnt.
What does that mean? Why did the odin flash mode work after 3 successful attempts I could not get back to working mode?
Stuck and waiting,
Regards.
