I had the same issue but with a different upgrade version and I found the solution online in another forum. What I did was I downloaded an older version of Android Wear from APKMirror and that fixed it after uninstalling my current version and reinstalling the older version. I specifically used version 1.1.1.2113877. Then I factory reset the watch and proceeded as normal with the setup process but with the older version of Wear. After you finish updating and making sure that everything is working, update the Wear app to the latest edition.
Hey Guys,
I rooted my Note5 (N920R4) a few months ago with ease. After installing an unofficial Xposed Framework, my Handwriting recognition keeps force closing.
Before installing the Unofficial Xposed framework I did a back up.. But when restoring that back up.. I am still receiving the same error message.
I even attempted doing a factory reset... still no dice..
Any Advice??:crying:
Just in case further explanation is needed..

Use smartswitch on pc to fix it.
I'm currently using the weekly-updated MIUI 9 developer rom from en.miui, though I haven't updated it for months, and I'm still on 7.10.6 as shown in the settings page.
I've tried to update to the latest weekly which is miui_MIMAX2Global_8.2.8_45df73749c_7.1.zip, though I keep failing.
The following are things I tried:
1. Directly flashing the zip through TWRP
2. Wiping first then flashing the zip
Though both ways get my phone stuck at boot where it shows the "M" of MIUI and "Unlocked" at the bottom.
Can anyone kindly point out my mistakes? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question or if I'm doing something dumb
have u tried updating the zip via the integrated system updater in rom settings?
@jbmc83
Yes, though it also doesn't seem to be working. Here's a screenshot of what is shown after clicking "choose update package".

hm...did you clean up system apps and accidentally deleted the app used to pick an update package?
another option would be to flash via fastboot, but ull need the fastboot specific rom package for that. also available on miui rom website.

Note: the original baseband was sm950usqs2bqk2
Did you update via OTA? I mean, that firmware is the latest available for your device?, if that is the case, you can roll back to a previous oreo, take a look at sammobile

Yes via OTA applied from the SD card.
I tried to install the 7.1.1 againg using Odin but always says setup connection
You will not be able to roll back to nougat, you can only install firmwares with equal or higher bootloader versions, the number of the version is the ninth character in the firmware label
