As the title says is that even possible for the Note 4 ? I know sounds crazy but I want to know if it is possible. If it is, how? Please help ::fingers-crossed:
With my 910F it was possible. Thank God! Marshmallow looks like ****.. Maybe it's smoother than kitkat but the look and battery time wasnt as good as with kitkat.
To your question : download a kitkat firmware and simply flash it with Odin. Done and easy.

Do I need to go back to lollipop first? Then kit kat? or I can jump straight to kit kat? I have the 910N. I really wanna just go back to when it was very stable and had amazing battery!

Just downgrade directly to kitkat. Works fine for me. But like I said I have the 910f.. But I think if you have an snapdragon too it's definitely possible. I think..
Just try. I case it doesn't work you can flash your marshmallow back. Sry for my english I'm German

So what were the steps you took? Did you factory reset before odin? Or just odin to kitkat and it booted ?:fingers-crossed:

Actually I just saved my whatsapp folder to ext. SD card. Then I did a reset via stock recovery. But now I use a custom recovery to perform full backups . But you can install this after you did your downgrade.
You can downgrade from android 6.0.1 to 4.4.4 just flash old bootloader for android 4.4.4 and modem then flash the rom.
here's a video but I don't know if it's for the quallcom cpu version of the note 4 (It's for the sm 910 t ) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRDSRKjGhUw
Tried flashing 4.4.4 yesterday .
My device is n910g .
First I flashed lollipop 5.0.1 , then left the device for booting up and it dint booted ,cause i hadn't factory resetted my device, so after a factory reset it did booted up.
Then i flashed 4.4.4 and factory reset the device and it booted up properly.
Battery life is really amazing .

Was told N910c can flash back to 5.1.1 via Odin.
Perhaps you can then flash back to 4.4.4 afterwards?

I have an N910G and have gone back and forth between MM and KK several times without any problems. No need to go through LP to downgrade. (No matter how often I try, I just can't get to like MM!) Anyway, all you need is right here:

I used exactly the same firmware to downgrade from 6.0.1. And, of course a correct modem and bootloader. At first i flashed the modem and bootloader, using Odin 3.09, after reboot i pulled out the battery immediately. After putting back the battery, I switched the phone to download mode, and flashed the 4.4.4 firmware. Worked flawlessly. :good:

Hello Guys i flashed the Germany Version of 4.3 lte last night and in doing so i have Temporarily killed my Phone.
I have tried all the Recoveries processes via Kies and Odin and i am having no luck.
I think the reason why it won't flash is because the Germany 4.3 is a Newer Version than the Stock 4.1.2.
When i'm in Odin i get sboot.bin Fail when trying to Flash the Latest Stock rom. I am able to Flash the Germany 4.3 again and that flashes but then the Phone Stays on the Samsung Flash Screen.
Could someone please Help? I have been on with this for Hours now. I think what i need is a 4.3 Version of any rom in Odin .tar format so i can at least get the phone to boot up and then maybe i can get CWM Recovery on there and flash a Stock rom that way.
Thanks in Advance
You have to remove sboot.bin and tz.bin when downgrading. Be careful, downgrading will give you Knox warranty void 0x1!

THE kies frimware intilition doesnt work as you have 4.3 bootloader and knox blocks older boot loader
dont worry when 4.3 becomes available in your area it wont have to downgrade and ultimately this method will work but still things are looking pretty bad dor the intermediatory days.
PS is ther anyway to restore baseband imei without any backup

Sorry for the late response but when you get stuck on the Samsung boot screen all you have to do is boot into Recovery and do a Factory Reset and Wipe Cache.
Another thing to remember is to flash the modem for your country otherwise you might accidently disable some frequencies and enable other useless ones.

I suggest you should do a whole lot of research before you started to flash things. Visit to the development thread and you can find out more info.
Go back to MJ5, and then flash KnoxRaid rom or any of those that ported by drake if you want to be on KitKat.

Drake has been doing great things and Hashcode is still working on the bootlaoder safestrap issues. Hopefully we'll get it b4 the Note4 comes out!

Once SS is updated it should be fine. But the flashing process with odin isn't hard if you can get access to a computer. Drakey has very clear instructions in any of his ROM threads.

We have been able to get SS to work on the I337 4.4 NB1 build by first downgrading to 4.3 by only flashing some of the 4.3 partitions including the stock kernel then rooting and installing SS. Once we flash the Custom ROM in SS we flash back to the 4.4 stock kernel. From that point forward all we need to do to wipe and flash another ROM is flash the 4.3 kernel again.
I don't know if this will work on your device but it may be worth a shot.
So I finally updated to officially 5.0.1 and my 's pen won't work nothing pops up nor won't sense it on the screen. happen before when I flash a custom ron lollipop and I thought it was the romantic but others had no issues.. when that happen I did go back to 4.4.4 and it worked fine...
Any way to fix this? BTW I'm rooted now and I didn't check if my s pen was working before I rooted it..

well i odin back to bone stock and S Pen not working going to try using kies again.. i dont think it will fix it...
at this point i think i need to downgrade back to 4.4.4
OK I think maybe I know why my s pen is not working.. maybe I need to wipe my internal memory too.. will wiping my internal memory not let me boot to download mode or twrp?
Don't want to be bricked or stuck in a blank boot up or something...
safe to wipe everything and boot it to download lode when done? I'll have my SD card out my note just in case I accidentally wipe the SD card...
Maybe something in the internal memory like a file or something preventING my s pen you work when I flash on 4.4.4 Roms and up.. always works when I'm on stock 4.4.4 or the fire Kat 4.4.4 v5 but if I flash a higher fire Kat 4.4.4 higher versions s pen won't work...

You'll be fine. That's how I do it. I Factory Reset...then go into Recovery, Format, Wipe...hit Reboot into Download mode from within TWRP. It'll warn you that you have no OS installed...ignore, It'll then ask you to install SU I think, Ignore that also...and just go into Download MODE...connect to computer and Odin away!

This is a [WARNING] Don't flash any other thing after you update Tmobile S5 to 5.1.1!
I have just flashed 5.1.1 and tried to flash CF-AUTOROOT / TWRP / CWM / ANY ROOT OR RECOVERY and I stucked at bootloop while the phone kept on ringing 4times at the T-mobile boot screen.
i think Samsung had changed something to prevent from install recovery or root on S5 in 5.1.1.
We should wait for someone to make 5.1.1 root.
The good news: You are able to downgrade from 5.1.1 to 5.0 or even 4.4 just by flashing previous firmwares using ODIN.
Without any problem. Full service, imei, SV, .... everything's fine.
Try wiping your caches in recovery. Same thing happened to me for 5.0

After I installed Recovery or root, I do full wipe.

I'm sure we'll get a working root method for 5.1.1, iirc I read the S6 running 5.1.1 was easily rooted, even without tripping KNOX
Can anyone post some screenshot of this release? Thanks in andvance!

No theme support. It's still a S6 exclusive.

That's disappointing, my excitement for 5.1.1 has just disappeared.
I want to install Motorola soak test marshmallow in my xt068 but i have heard many post of bricked devices while rolling back to stock 5.0.2. It is my primary device, so i do not want to brick it. Is there any safe way to go back to stock 5.0.2?
Has anyone safely rolled back to stock lollipop after installing m through twrp
Just do a backup in TWRP. You can restore it without any problems
Yeah I did.
Its pretty simple. Go to refuuges Easy Installer Script. And download the right firmware and follow instructions. Done.

Yes I tried backup and restore too.!! I am using now Android m soak test before this I also installed Android m and also restored. To android 5.0.2 and also then installed Android M without any problem .! Email .!:: [email protected] If any question free to ask me .!!
If I made TWRP backup of CM12.1(My Current Rom), and after all on MM, if I wished to get CM12.1 back, can I restore the TWRP backup made with CM12.1 ? ? ?
Or else
Should I first flash stock 5.0.2 firmware, then make TWRP backup and then restore MM TWRP backup? ?
Sorry its quite confusing.
But TIA
