Anyone know what happened?
It was removed as it was also a warez app and that is not allowed on xda. The dev has been contacted about fixing it and if he does then it will come back.
Is there an alternative?

One more lesson to be careful what you install. Xposed has great benefits but there are great risks as well. Unless you are watching the code and understand what your seeing then you are just trusting some random person on the Internet.

If they do they won't be posting it unless they want to be banned.
I assume xposed has been modified to keep it from working? As i didn't know it was banned but now it no longer seems to work.
Really wish you guys would be more informative with this stuff. Simple notice on the thread rather then a complete delete would have been more helpful to everyone.
There seems to be a new version of this app, called adblocker reborn, you can find it on xposed repo

Yep, I wrote to the author and continued working on it. Now it has more features and merely 10% of it is based on the old AdBlocker. Hope my module will last for more time...

Basically the way that it "blocked" ads for a lot of apps was by unlocking the premium version.

same issue here. I tried loading the first nf app that was out. I can get in and see my queues. But installing the new one by fresh, I get the login in screen and that is all. if install the new over the old, it just quits.
Could have posted this in any of the dozen existing threads on this. Should have been in the Apps subforum. Seems like there's varying degrees of success with those already trying it.

I didn't see one posted in the Captivate forum. ANd the reason why I posted it here is because I think the Evo users tweaked it for their phones. It's working for them.
I think we might have to tweak it as well.
Anyways, did you guys wait for the update?

So? According to Netflix this should not work on any device with a Hummingbird processor regardless of what ROM it is running. The only aspect of "working" that anyone cares about is streaming an actual movie. Anything else is just more FAIL.

I would prefer a method where i would be able to leave my build.prop as is, because then it deisplays sensation or whatever in comments section of app instead of vivd, and it just bothers me lol.

Then the only other way would be to obtain the .apk from somewhere other than the play store. And if it's not a legit distributor, it's not suggested, recommended, or allowed to be discussed here. A lot of apps you can find threads for here on XDA or other forums where the apk is provided. Others you can't

Yes, your new link works.
Installed it at work so I can't really play with it yet but there is a weird little headphone and chrome something icon with a line through it at the bottom left of the main screen that doesn't do anything. I probably need to be on the same network and the app to see my chromecast for whatever that is to do something but just thought I'd mention it.
Suggestions:
1) Add a check on app start to notify if it can't find the chromecast on the network
2) Ask to enable wifi for same reason as #1
3) Add Widget(s) for the app (Granted I haven't used the app to it's full potential yet to determine what the widget could/should have)

Maybe because this is using an API for controlling the Chromecast but it's not actually pushing video to it.

Don't know about other, but I can tell you one thing : Google released all the stuff a developer could need to develop apps for it and there's no limitation to publish what they want. Here's the catch though, their API is somehow limited for clients and are meant for services like Netflix or Hulu to implement their own media player remote. Sending content to the Chromecast is a very different thing (and is potentially the most interesting). Koush wrote a few things about it on his Google+ page, I recommend checking it out as well as his workaround.

Do you have any plans to post your source code? I'd love to take a look at it.
I'm strongly considering it but not immediately. There's a lot of changes going on in the codebase still and a little bit of house cleaning before I can start thinking of releasing it. Maybe in a couple months from now. If you need to look at some chromecast code, samples do pretty much the same =)

if you are using an app that does an overlay, it will not let you press those kinds of buttons, and youd have to disable that app. thats the only readon that i can think of why you wouldnt be able to press the button.
