Failed recovery update, won't boot anymore. - Asus Transformer TF701

As per topic.
Recovery doesn't work. Starts showing update animation then goes to black screen and turns off.
While showing the animation I get a short window of adb access.
I tried to reboot using adb reboot into bootloader, recovery, fastboot and sideload but no luck (fastboota reboots back to the animation, the other go to black screen or don't work at all).
SD update doesn't seem to be working as it just goes to the update animation anyway.

Boot loop after TWRP

Yes I'm an idiot.
I've managed to get into a boot loop after trying to flash TWRP.
Any one have any idea what I can do? The watch just displays the boot animation over and over.
If i hold the power button it turns off and then on again.
Hope its not bricked
Boot into recovery and wipe all data & do a factory reset... should fix it.

How do I boot into recovery?
I managed to get into recovery by swiping the top right of the screen to the bottom left while holding the power button at boot.
I've done a factory reset in recovery mode but I still get the boot looping...

I do believe that the first step is to unlock your bootloader..which is done by going into ADB and typing
fastboot oem unlock

Yes I unlocked to bootloader first.
Still stuck in a bootloop. I can get into download mode, if only there was an odin flashable firmware available.
If I could get into fastboot mode I'd be able to flash TWRP again at least but I can't get the watch to respond to any ADB commands, even in recovery if I select 'sideload via ADB'.
EDIT:Just a quick FYI. I managed to get the watch to boot to three different modes. Swiping different directions on the screen. Top right to bottom left boots to a a reboot menu with download, upload mode etc. Top left to bottom right boots into fastboot mode (Yay). And finally, bottom left to top right loads some kind of debug menu.
Have reflashed boot, system and recovery and am still stuck. Ive tried both stock and twrp but it still just boot loops.
Fixed it by flashing this to system in fastboot: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gea...wear-stock-root-busybox-t2834620#post54636406
Any one still bootlooping:
I rebooted the watch into fastboot mode by holding the power button until the watch restarted, continued holding the power button while swiping TOP LEFT to BOTTOM RIGHT of the screen.
I flashed the stock boot.img from adams pulled firmware, then flashed dess_troys TWRP to recovery then this custom rom to system.
The watch booted more or less straight away.

Black Fastboot Screen?

I have been trying to root my phone and now my Fastboot screens black. No longer shows the options to boot into recovery, power off and etc with the volume button toggles and power button as select. How do I get that option back? Or is there another way to boot into recovery? Thanks.
I am having the same issue, it seems.
Rooted my phone when I got it a year ago, but messed up with the DRM-keys.
Was running some Lollipop stock-ROM until recently, but decided it was time to update.
Flashed the stock 6.0.1 ROM and, from what I can tell, also successfully flashed TWRP 3.0.2. But I've not been able to get into recovery (tried "fastboot boot recovery.img" but I get a completely black screen at that point, although "backlit").
Fastboot has never shown anything (the LED just turned blue, but the screen is completely black, but not "backlight").
Didn't mean to hijack the thread, but it seems we have the same problem.
PS. The phone boots fine, and works as it should.
Wait shouldn't the fastboot screen always be black? I have never unlocked the bootloader, but my fastboot screen always showed the blue LED and a black screen

HELP I deleted OS via twrp

I need help. I deleted/wiped in advanced mode in twrp the system and now I have No OS installed. I don't kow what to do now the phone does not bood except into twrp.
Use NOST
Sent from my NB1 using XDA Labs
After hours of "work" I have my phone running again. I was able to get the phone run stock recovery again and then was easy to just flash the oreo zip.
well good to know you solved the problem.
but just in case keep your phone bootloader critical unlocked so you can use NOST if you face such problems again.
Just happened again. I wanted to put twrp img back on the phone and as it reboots... its stuck on "Powered by Android". I cannot flash or do anything since its stuck and does not turn off. I tried all combinations of volume/power button and hold them for minutes... just does not turn off. So its not recognized by NOST or anything. Now I am really screwed as it seems...

I am at such condition too... how long battery lasts? I think it's possible to wait for the phone to fully discharge and then we may have access to recovery. right?

If you tried to "fastboot boot" the TWRP image: thats "normal", fastboot boot is broken on every firmware since august. You have to flash TWRP to your active boot partition to boot it. However, at least for me, when being stuck in that screen I can still use "fastboot reboot" or "fastboot reboot-bootloader" to get the phone back in a working state.
Also, if you try to flash TWRP to your active boot: Please don't flash the image from the official site, since that is unable to boot into the system normally. Use my recompiled generic TWRP boot image that you can flash, regardless of security patch version: https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-8/development/twrp-data-decryption-android-9-t3911411
If you did not fastboot boot an image: Hold down volume up, volume down and power for multiple minutes until the phone turns off. Then hold volume down while connecting the phone to a computer through USB, and it will start into fastboot mode. Then just revert whatever you changed and reflash the stock image.

It turns out that there was Pie on my partition B and I was not aware of that. Booting into TWRP wasn't working, so I flashed it and then factory reset system. And it broke the phone.
Now I tried to boot the TWRP from slot B and rebooted partition A. Now the phone is up... Thanks
Where can I find the appropriate stock boot image for my partition B? and should I fastboot it with boot_b command or what?

Phone might be bricked ?

So i installed lineageos 19.1. and then i installed twrp 3.6.0 recovery. now my phone keeps going to recovery no matter what and the recovery is stuck on twrp's image. no adb no fastboot and i can't get to download mode the screen just goes black and as soon as i lift the bixby and volume down buttons the phone restarts and goes straight to twrp and twrp won't let me do anything as it's just the startup screen. Pc doesn't even recognize phone when i plug it in no matter what mode im in. Any ideas guys ?

Motoe5(Nora) Custom recovery not installing

I tried to install twrp in my Moto e5 (XT1944-6) device. I flashed the latest twrp image using adb platform tools. But when I switched to recovery mode, the TWRP logo appeared for a long time.
Instead of TWRP UI, a screen came called "Mount". It told me to enter a password, and a keyboard was open. There were 2 options " cancel" and "change language".
But I wasn’t able to do anything. Touches were not working. After a few moments the screen slept.
When I clicked the power button, a complete WHITE SCREEN appeared.
I was trying to go to fastboot mode, but it was coming to recovery mode every time. After a few try, somehow I switched to fastboot mode & restart my device.
Again I went to recovery mode, but TWRP wasn’t there. It was the stock recovery and still it is. Please help!

stock overwrites the recovery, you must change the rom to avoid it, and the password thing is called encryption and to remove it you must hit cancel, wipe format data and write yes [THAT WILL ERASE ALL YOUR DATA]
