So you can imagine my dismay when I turn on my brand new P9 only to find a huge Vodafone splash screen on boot... This had to go.
Followed one of the many guides online to install stock Marshmallow on the thing which solved the problem.
BUT, now I can't use Android Pay as I guess it's made my device unofficial!?
How do I fix this?! Baffled

Which guide did you follow and which firmware did you flash? Sounds like you didn't change your region/oeminfo before flashing the new firmware so it's changed you to C900
I felt the same pain when I saw the Vodafone boot logo, sympathies

Finally got round to this. All went great, followed this to unlock bootloader (not included in the link above)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66782268&postcount=5&nocache=1
There were a few moments of fright when the P9 booted back up with red writing saying it couldn't be authenticated or something. Basically fell into a bootloop from then on, no access to recovery using conventional methods. Device seemed to auto-recover itself by performing a 'low level' factory reset. Smooth sailing after that!

For some reason my version says mi9 instead of mj5. I completed all steps except step 10 as I wanted to at least get back to nb4. Any idea on what may have happened???

I have used those steps twice to get my phone back to MJ5. They work. There is either something your missing or you have upgraded to something different and are having issues going back.
but it does work.
Even the MI9 file included in the list?

Yes all files less the Mega one which is just a mirror to the MI9 fix anyway.
Got it. Didn't repartition. Thanks

Once you're on a new build its impossible to downgrade because the bootloader is locked. So sorry to say you're stuck. The builds ending with MJ5, and NB4 are android 4.3 jellybean and aren't bad at all! The 4.4 NC2, and MLG have quirks.
The restore to MJ5 thread is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2559715
MI9 is Odin flashable and available here http://www.mediafire.com/?jmypf8ggtxu1a61
It's only good if you're still on MI9.
There is no restore method for any 4.4 versions. Just some modified NC2 or MLG roms available.
Hi,
I need help from all of you. Could anyone tell me what is your Phone Model?
I think it should be SM-N900A, but in my friend's phone it is SAMSUNG-SM-N900A, I'm not sure if it is original name or it has been modified.
You can install my app Phone INFO *Samsung* to get the Phone Model name. Download link in my signature.

You need to deodex your ROM, or flash a deodexed ROM for Xposed to work, unless you're on 5.1 or newer

So, I wanted to put 7 on my p9, looked at a video saying I should download the stock rom first, but couldn't find my build number.
I then went to google my build number, but it come back with ZERO results! What the heck am I to do? I guess i'll never get an update now. (was willing to pay for it too)
Build number: EVA-L09GBRC555B160

Can't fknd that either, mine is truly unique, sadly.
Please post here a screenshot of your screen

EVA-L09 is the model number of the phone. C555 is the region code. B160 is the build number of the stock official rom firmware.
I'm sure Samsung uses something very similar for the naming scheme.

would I be able to wipe it or use an American one or something? I only want 7.0 lol I even offered to pay them
I've got the same version as this. I'm on 3 in the UK, and got my handset directly from a 3 store. Having the same problem. I googled how to manually update, and downloaded the required file, unzipped, and copied over to my sd card, creating a dload folder. I got the update started, but it failed at 37%.

This should do the trick.
Hi All,
I had bricked my phone while updating from OTA. It is not now booting up at all, not in Recovery/Fastboot too. I tried unbrick method from the below guide.
https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/guide-mega-unbrick-guide-for-a-hard-bricked-oneplus-3t.725029/
But I am running into issues while downloading cache.img as it failing again and again. I am facing issues as
FirehoseCheckRSP Failed, Errno: 258, I have attached the screenshot.

Please help. I am in no position to buy a new phone right now :crying::crying::crying:. Thanks!

Thanks for you response. I pasted a wrong link in my earlier post. I used the step from XDA too, including the one you shared. But ran into same issue. I have tried almost all the unbrick guides available but it is not going beyond "Downloading cache.img".
I used two version of stock ROMs i.e. "OnePlus3T_28_A.23_161027" and "OnePlus3T_28_A.041_170208" but both didn't work.
Is there anything which I should be doing differently. Thanks!
