Skype issue

Anyone finding that when you sign into skype it just crashes and says please re-install?
Does skype with video work on our Bionic?

I have a black picture on 3g and wifi. This is literally my only complaint since lauch day.

If you just keep ignoring the message and reopening the program it will eventually work. I was able to place a video call to someone but they were unable to see my stream, it just showed up black. I was able to see them however.

OK so not just me, im sure Skype need to update their app for the phone then, as they add models all the time. thanks guys

It asked to reinstall, so I did and it was a newer version....made a call to my friend in China this morning, worked fine. No video from my phone, but could receive video. Hopefully new Skype software fixes it!

I have found a copy of skype with video that works perfectly, with front and back camera, no sign in issues.
Its been re-developed by theos0o... It has some fixes you run in the Advanced settings option where if you get black screen calling you can fix it and make it work perfectly

Which version you used? I found 2.0.47 theos0o’s build (v02) but it have same problem (black rectangle)

Make sure you tick the two options in the advanced settings menu that mention fixing the black screen issue, works great after that

It is why I am asking about your version. I found another version (2.1.0.46 v11) at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16889575&postcount=1262 .And you are right that it work fine with video. Thanks.

Push notification doesn't work for viber, whatsapp and gmail.
all mentioned apps are marked as trusted and auto-start.
Locked on app tray aswell.
Been on v 15, v16 and v23 so far... none resolved the issue.
I get notification only when I open the app and something when I unlock the lock screen.

Are you rooted & using Greenify or any similar apps?

looking for app such as pie control, button saviour etc that work. I'm on v23. thanks in advance.

Every thing is working perfectly on my phone it is v23.

app (Google music, Google drive, hangouts etc) deleted using titanium back up and setting come back after reboot. How to delete these app permanently? Thanks in advance.

Auto redail
Many times when i disconnect call my phone automatically redail on that number.
how can i solve it..??

wifi iusse on my mi3!!
my wifi was damn slow with my mi 3 . then i taught it was software issue
then i changed to developper rom and updated it latest build/update 4.8.15....still the same problem
my wifi is 21mbps but mi 3 runs @oly 25-65 kbps, whereas my micromax hd runs @ 15 mbps
n also tried various types of wifi networks n "Hell"
!! still the same
what is the solution for this??

Everything works fine here... I have been disabled "Clean memory automatically" in "Conserve battery".
I wonder, how do you know which firmware is installed?

when i check for update it shows that phone is updated to latest version
But
when i checked for SHOW ALL AVAILABLE UPDATES it started to download 590MB package...
What is this 590MB update..???

Audio Problem on video recording.
Hi to all.
I am on 4.8.15 and since many versions ago i have problem with the sound quality in video recording.
There is no problem when you record audio only but when you use video rec option the sound is very bad.
Do you find some fix or any other app to fix it?

Screen goes black on when i call
Hi All,
I am facing an issue.When i call someone,my screen turns off and doenst wake up until the call is disconnected.Even power button doesnt work.
I have updated to V23.
Please help.
Update:Got the solution..i didnt remove the screen guard.There is an oval shape(proximity sensor).Its getting blocked by screen guard so screen is turning blank on call.

By far the most annoying bug, there is no fix available. I read that the stable builds don't have it, but I'm on the multilane so I didn't test that

Not really, I tested some versions and can say that the stable version 18 hasn't the bug but the next one I tried out (the stable 21 I think) still has the strange sound bug in video recording, it sounds like audio codecs compression problem.

How do you guys flashed the original ROM came with the phone with the developer edition? Thanks.

I freeze them using ROM Toolbox, tried to uninstalled them too before but they came back.

Notification push problem

Hi everyone , I got my Chinese Zuk 2 and flashed it to the Indian rom , 2.0.111 ST , it is a very good ROM with outstanding sot , but my problem is the notification, it doesn't come in time and I have to open the application to keep getting them , if I remove the application from recent menu it kills it not close it , also my widgets doesn't update itself and I have to do it manually , any ideas in getting this problem solved please?

I had the same issue with my zuk z2 pro. I think its a general ZUI problem. I switched to a custom Mokee ROM and notifications work fine. Although there are other bugs I can live with.

Did you exclude the apps with push notifications and all Google play services from the zui battery optimizations?

You have to exclude apps from battery optimization and also you have to active autostart for the apps. Just for safe, it's better if you turn off "autoclean" (of RAM) in SafeCenter! Let's know if it works.

Where can I get download link for stock Indian zui 2.0.111 ST. Kindly share if you have one.

EMUI 10 / Android 10 (10.0.0.178) VOG-L29 - Whatsapp gallery Problem.

some days ago my phone (VOG L29) got 10.0.0.178 (C605E19R1P3) OTA UPDATE I happily proceed to install the update.
so now with Android 10 i have been having some problem with Whatsapp when i try to send a photo from the gallery it freeze when i try to select a pict to send it i need to shutdown the app.
the only temporary fix that i found is reboot the phone but the problem will appear again in a random time.
What I have tried to do:
i reinstalled whatsapp
tried other version directly from the website
delete the cache and the problem persist
Does anyone know how I can solve this problem?
I tried to find some information about this problem but I can only find people with pixels or oneplus and the problem was solved with a system update.

What helped me:
1. Delete WhatsApp data
2. Uninstall Whatsapp
3. Cache partition cleared
4. Whatsapp reinstalled
Everything works as it should

I will be reporting in a couple of days or sooner if the problem returns.

I had a problem with WhatsApp images in Google Photos after updating to 10.
The restore chucked all my WhatsApp images into yesterday's date! I thought I'd lost photos until I realised the first long section for yesterday was all WhatsApp images from forever! I can only assume that WhatsApp didn't properly tag then with correct dates, and so restore out then as the restore date? Anyhow for a fun day trying to reset them all in web version if I can [emoji849] as it synced it across all my devices in minutes.

This is completely normal behaviour for the P30 Pro, all 3 camera sensors are different so you get a drastic change in quality & focus when switching it's just a adjust period when switching, this is why the likes of Sony opted for 16MP on all 3 sensors so the change wasn't as drastic when switching between sensors

For Viber i go to beta program and version off app, and after latest update crash is gone.

I searched for this issue everywhere as I have the issue and there was no solution I could find. So we should have to wait for an update to fix this issue.

Hope so too

Been waiting patiently for a fix but none has come out yet even after 2 updates. I am so angry at Samsung because of this.

Received an update today 2 Jan 2022 and the issue has been fixed
