Ex dialer is miui themed dialer for android.milocker is for login screens
Miui u launcher sucks much ,but i doono where does it stores themes.can miui themes be installed thru it?
MIUI from is created by a company called xiaomi, they also made milocker to work with standard MIUI themes. Ex dialer and the launcher known as MIUI launcher are not made by xiaomi so they do not work with MIUI themes.
There is a thread on how to theme the fake MIUI launcher in the themes section. And a huge post on all the apps for recreating the miui look.
On a side note xiaomi have started to open source there MIUI code so maybe we will see more third party apps support MIUI themes.

I was wondering if there is a ROM for the Mi5, that has the "Theme Engine" feature from CM. On of the biggest things I enjoyed on my phone was the many ways of customization I had on my device through that little "Themes" app (had cm on my old device).
So if you know a ROM, that is able to apply Themes downloaded from the PlayStore (no matter if Android M or N), I ask you to tell me in the comments bellow, it would help me a lot if you would also feature some short infos, about battery, smoothnes, cam, etc. because I also use my Device as a daily driver. (Device: Xiaomi Mi5/ gemini/ Black- 64GB)

cm 13 snapshot build has cm theme features but its on android 6 . used it pretty stable build

hello guys
there is many roms in this forum for the mi 5 but i am looking for a rom that combine some of MIUI features with the stock android look.
is there a rood out there that have the MIUI security app and MIUI app lock option and the hiddin gallery option with the look and feel of a stock android like LineageOs for example ?
There isn't really a rom that has Miui features as Miui relies heavily on Miui framework. Can install another rom and apply Miui icons etc
not the icons that i want .
i am talking about security center and app locks option and that option in gallery where you can hide some pictures and you can access them by sliding down ...
Use MIUI rom with nougat/Oreo theme
theme won't change the notifications and statue bar style it will change only the icons
lineage os has app lock functionality built in ..
go and install resurrection remix-- it has more options for customizations than you will ever use...
MIUI themes change everything from notification area, status bar, settings etc not just icons. Plenty stock Oreo or nougat themes available for miui
but it has bugs too
My experience with MIUI is pretty bad but I want to cover it up with a new theme because I've heard MIUI is known for out of the world themes. I'm on the Global ROM and I have no Theme store on my device. I tried installing the GetApps apk but that didn't do anything either. Why is everything region locked? Which region do I need to switch to to actually use the Theme store?

It was never on my device to begin with. I didn't uninstall it. Also it's not in there anyway.

otherwise they made an update of miui 13 global for spes device, because there is more missing in spes-rom than in spesn global rom.

To add to the record, some MIUI ROMs, on modded versions, have the Chinese Theme store, that it's not good at all, for a lot of people, even the Global Theme Store has no good themes, it's hard to find one, so actually I'm just using .mtz themes, and apply them with an app like MTZ tester, there are some sites where you can get from, so you won't miss the Theme Store at all.

I just wanted it because there was no way to change the shape of the icons for me. I'm just going to switch to a custom ROM because MIUI has a lot of stupid bugs for me, and the fact that Xiaomi has removed basic features from Android.

I'm pretty sure that changing the region, will work, you could see through out the root system path if the Theme Store app is there (no root needed). Anyway, I also switched to a custom ROM (ArrowOS), it lacks of some features from Miui but the fast it brings, worth it.

I switched from Evo X on another phone to MIUI on spes, and I've only noticed a lack of features. There is nothing in this version of MIUI that adds good features onto Android, in my opinion.
Is there a way to actually create a custom theme for MIUI 13, with boot animations, charging animations and such? If someone has done so I'll be glad to test it.
The boot img is in the Xiaomi EU V13.0.7.0 rom folder.
